I understand my car is out of warranty, I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS! Did you apologize to the fact that your service team constantly said they are "understaffed" and never called me back several times? You guys say your technicians have been doing this for 40 years but couldn't fix my car the 4 times I brought it in? You went truly "above and beyond" by taking my car, wasting my time over and over again, coming up with zero results, and then kicking me out the door. It is your dealerships responsibility to handle repairs accordingly, especially if a car is only 5 years old to a customer ready to pay to fix it. The first time we went there we bought a truck that had to be returned the next day and kept overnight because they forgot to put the TPMS sensors in the tires. 6 months later we decide to upgrade the truck and were told that we had credit challenges when we bought the first truck and they wouldn't even try to see if we could make it work. Went to Autonation Chevy in Valencia the next day and bought a Silverado Allstar Edition Crew Cab with absolutely no problems getting financed. Took this truck to Simi for an oil change and they don't have filters. The best selling vehicle they have and they don't have filters. Poor management! I had a regular service done here and asked for them to inspect my brakes because they were squeaking. They said that it was normal and the pads had 4mm left so I could wait until my next service. A month later the breaks were making a grinding sound so I took it somewhere else for a second opinion. The pads were gone and it was metal to metal. I had to replace the discs because of this. I called Simi Chevy to complain multiple times and could not get a manager on the phone or get them to call me back. Silver Star in TO is much better, take your Chevy there read more

Jonathan Savage just does not care about his customer service. The first time we came in he was on the phone with his wife (not a problem but do it on your break), gave my fiancé attitude as if he acted like he didn't care and has something else better to do.. We asked if they had a loaner pick up truck he said no and didn't care to check or call anyone to see if it was returned. NOTHING was fixed on our vehicle when we picked it up a couple days later. The second time, our order came in and again acted as if he didn't care, he was just chilling at the podium with a knee up on the counter let a sigh out as he got up. Wouldn't except the vehicle because it was a bit over warranty miles. Said "we can't do anything about it". And I overheard him give another employee some attitude. We spoke to the service manager said "oh no don't worry about it you brought it here before it was over warranty miles your all good don't worry about it!" When we went back to speak to Jonathan he said yet again they absolutely no loaner vehicles on lot. We walked back to a different office to see if they had a loaner vehicle. WEIRD they had a loaner vehicle. I don't know. But Jonathan Savage just honestly doesn't care about the customers or the service he provides. Thank you. read more

Worked with Tim and Tom and they were friendly, up front, honest, and great to work with. Spent a couple months looking at cars. We live in Simi and I really wanted to buy local. Ran across some very nice people. Simi Chevy was recently purchased by the people that own Glendora Chevy, so new ownership and one would think, an attention to detail. Found a great Kia Optima on the used lot, drove it several times and the salespeople were nice and accommodating. Reached out online to begin negotiation and no response for two days. Finally a response came but it was like my initial email was never read. I try to shop online first because you end up spending 4 hours at the dealership haggling if you don't. Decided to go in, again nice sales people, but when we started talking price the others entered the picture. I gave them an outline of what I could do. That was ignored and they started with the 'preliminary' offer. Price for the car was higher than what was listed online. Trade offer was lowballed and interest rate was high. Pretty typical. I was hoping that new ownership would update the approach to a less sleazy style, but this place is squarely old school. If you enjoy the game, the haggling, and never ending back and forth then give it a whirl. Salespeople, quality of cars would be 5 star. Really enjoyed them and think I got an ok deal on a car I really like. Sales managers, Internet department, would be a 1 star, old school car salesman approach. In the days of truecar, Internet search, and communication online this place falls very short thus far. read more

I just left Chevrolet of Simi and I had a terrible experience with the sales associate Jose. My husband and I are in the market to buy a truck and wanted to compare Ford with Chevrolet. Jose showed us a Silverado and I was explaining that the leg room in the back of the truck is way less than the leg room in the Ford truck (I know because we are currently renting a Ford). He disagreed and said they are the same size. Fine, he did not believe me. I figured I could show him in our rental Ford that we arrived to the lot in. After I told him I was no longer interested in the Silverado because I felt like it was too small, I thought I could show him how much more leg room there was in our Ford so he could see for himself. So I'm sitting in the back seat of the Ford, showing him how much more leg room there is and he is disagreeing with me and telling me that I manipulated the front seats to make it look like there was more room. I don't even know what to say at that moment. First of all, the customer is always right regardless. That is customer service 101. #2 Don't ever tell your customer that they are lying or trying to manipulate things. #3 You should think about how you talk to your customers especially if they are thinking about dropping $40-$50 grand on a vehicle. I have never been treated like this as a customer in ANY establishment EVER. I will NEVER buy a chevy because of the horrible experience I had today. Ford here I come. read more

I bought a 2003 Tahoe it had two large dent in the rear bumper CD player did not work and a small Oil leak I was told by the manager that he would fix the oil leak if it was not expensive fix the stereo CD player and replace the bumper which was on a due when I brought it to them to fix the manager came out and told me he could not fix the bumper he said I will fix the oil leak though that was just an oil pan gasket . And CD player he put on the due bill he would fix the bumper that was just a lie to sell me the vehicle. A bumper is not that much money I could go to Better Business Bureau but it is not worth my time for $150 bumper. So I do Bill means nothing to them they just want to sell used vehicles. Over Labor Day weekend my hubby and I scheduled an appt down the street at the Kia dealership, that visit was a dud so on our way back to the freeway we spotted Simi Valley Chevrolet, so we decided to check it out.. We were greeted by Carolyn and she showed us around, I loved how friendly she was, so informative but not pushy at all, we were unable to make a deal that day but we came back a couple of days later and she was happy to help. Bought my 2011 Certified Cruze from Rydell. The car had the original battery. About 3 months ago the battery started not to be able to hold it's charge. I asked AAA to replace it. There man said it was the battery, however, their book tells them not to replace it. Firestone told me that the battery had recharged. The battery kept losing it's charge, and for two months I have been recharging slowly with a battery charger. Took the car to Walmart, and they would not touch it due to the computer system possibly being wrecked. Took it here and the price of the battery is about the same as my mechanic, Firestone, (which won't quote this one online), AAA, and Walmart. read more

Worst dealership! When I leased my Tahoe which was supposed to be one with captain seats, after working out numbers and everything, the dealership made a mistake and "all of a sudden" couldn't give me the one with captain seats and bait and switched me to the one without. Due to their mistake they put in writing and promised me 3 gas fill ups and a car detail to use at anytime. We went with it since my husband was tired from looking at cars and spending hours at dealerships. Last week I happened to be in the area and went in to use the second one of the 3 gas fill ups (I had already used one previously). All of a sudden they had no record of such promises, refused to look in my file which states these promises in writing, made me wait over an hour while someone tried to reach a manager. And the worst part is the manager came to speak to me and made me out to be a liar... Stating that they never give such promises for gas fill ups. After being made out to be a liar I went to my car to find the paperwork of the first gas fill I had used when I went to get my car serviced there previously... On this paperwork it even states in writing CUSTOMER HAS 2 MORE FREE GAS FILLS The manager was still rude even after seeing this. Only after he heard me talking to my husband over the phone as I was telling my husband what was going on and that even though our lease is up in a couple months I refuse to come back to this dealership... Then the manager came and said he would honor it this one time! As if he was doing me a favor!!! Of course they will promise you everything in the beginning... and when it comes down to it... Not only did I get a fun car to drive, I was called two weeks later letting me know that they got me a better APR and lower payment a month which made it more affordable in the long run. I'm so disappointed. I brought my husbands truck in for routine service. They of course suggested additional services (transmission oil change). I accepted. They took over 3,5 hours knowing I was waiting because I came from Sylmar. Granted it's Saturday but so many people came in and out of here while I was the last one out. Then they finally bring the truck and they bring it to me still wet. Terrible service. There is so much more I could say but I've already wasted too much of my Saturday. This is why I love my Lexus dealership in Valencia because they know how to treat their customers. read more

My car acted up again so I brought it here. When I got there I was greeted by a man walking across the parking lot who escorted me into the service center and introduced me to the service advisor. We immediately sat down and walked through the problems with my car. He was efficient and helpful. I was told I'd be receiving a call the next day on the status of my car. The next day I got the call and he explained that the car wouldn't act up for them but they took some precautionary measures for me and my car was ready for pick up. Later when I picked it up they were again efficient and helpful. My car has been running fine since then. I was pleased with their service. read more

I don't like to post negative reviews, but I do go on Yelp to find places I want to do business with, and to stay away from bad experiences and time wasters. this was my experience with Simi Valley Chevrolet: I saw a car I was interested in on several online sites (Car Gurus, Car Fax, Cars.com) at a price that caused it to show up first when searching low to high. When I arrived at Simi Valley Chevrolet, I was told that this was not in fact the price, but the actual cast was $1,500 more to reflect the Locjack that is put on every car they sell (the finance managers explanation). Wow, your dealership comes up first from a low price you never intended to honor. Well that seems bait and switchy. I did go and see what the retail price for Lojack - should be about $600. I Had a car to trade in, a Chevy - they offered 6k- ended up selling to CARMAX for 9K. Also was really pressed to purchase GAP insurance for $900. My lender offered the same thing for $400, but not necessary as my down payment did not create "GAP" to insure, so they said I did not need it. These guys seem to build in a lot of room in their prices. This dealership seems stuck in the cliché of bad car salesmen troupes. For this car buyer, they have made me a CARMAX customer for life. read more

My key broke which really should never happen. I have a lease and at the time of my lease they sent me with one key. Called later and said my second key was at the dealership. So I call and was told by Jason Betancourt that my key is gone because they got a new owner. Who just tosses out keys?! On top of it he said there is nothing they can do for me and that he'd be embarrassed to call a dealership about a broken key. The way I was spoken to by Jason and treated is completely unacceptable. The fact that the dealership can do "nothing" for a paying customer is absurd. I did nothing to my key to make it break and the fact that it did SHOULD be the dealership's problem. After my lease is up i will never ever go back to them for another vehicle. read more

If you are planning to purchase a vehicle from this location, look for Dom !!! He's amazing. Such a kind, honest sales guy. We just purchased a vehicle at a different location but had an amazing experience at the Simi Valley location. Dom was so helpful and did his best to try and find us the best deal possible without giving us the run around. He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows. The only reason we did not purchase the truck from him was because it was 8:30pm (they close at 9/ it was the last day of the truck sale) and the general manager took too long to get back to us in regards to matching the price we got from a different dealer. We really wanted to buy the car from him that we waited in the car for 30 minutes, sitting in front of a different dealership, waiting to hear back from him. Since the manager took too long we figured that we wouldn't make it to Simi Valley on time, so we went with the other place. If the manager would have matched the price they had given us, we would've bought the car from Dom 100% (they didn't even have to give us a better price). We also had very good experiences with Chuck and Steve. I would highly recommend this location, and we were sad not to have been able to give our sale to Dom. read more

Just purchased a 2015 Honda Crosstour and after a few back and forths we came to an agreement. They were fun to deal with and got a great price. Also, they're used car warranty is great but hey, it's a Honda( reliability central) so probably won't need it.
