Beware of scamming money out of people, lies, despicable customer service! Yesterday, I went to Simonmed to have 2 MRI"S done. This was done through their call center 2 weeks ago. I went here, even though I was reluctant due to past experiences, due to the closeness and that it could be done on a Saturday. I had to take meds due to it being a closed test otherwise I would have had to wait 2-3 months out. I arrive and the first thing the receptionist says is you will need to pay us. I let her know that I do not owe as I have 2 insurance cards, which I had handed to her, and that covers the costs. She said with attitude, "Haven't you heard of C0-pays before?" Ann's attitude continued, which I ignored her attitude and explained to her that the first insurance covers that test and the 2nd one covers the co-pay. I informed her that I did not receive a reminder call from this office the day before about the tests or any co-pay. She just ignored me. She then began about- I cannot do the 2nd MRI today as it was not on the schedule. I said to her the scheduler told me to bring in the order and they would add the 2nd one no problem. There was nobody else in the office and it was 10am. My son was with me as he was the driver and we tried to find a solution to get both done today, later or another location and she just kept telling us no but she would re-schedule us for another day! My son then began to record the conversation and informed her and she stated, "she didn't care". We tried to find a solution we asked for a supervisor and she said there was no supervisor there. My son went outside to call to get a supervisor and as I was trying to do something she continued with the attitude, became belligerent. She was rolling her eyes, making belligerent comments under her breath towards me and my sone, and when I asked her what did she say she said,'You heard me!" I said to her that she needs to quit rolling her eyes and she said, "You are not my mother" At that point in time I left, my son was outside and we went to the car where he called for a supervisor and I called with my phone. He got through and as someone was helping him, when I got through to Elizibeth Garcia, who lied to me telling me there wasn't a supervisor available today. I said to her, that was a lie as my son was on the phone with one right now. She challenged me to tell her who and I asked my son and he said it was Dianna. She then tried to backtrack and get out of her lie. This day was unbelievable! I have had 4 negative interactions with 2 different Simon Meds in the past 2 months. I will go to social media and the BBB and share the recording with all unless I hear from the CEO on Monday March 16, 2020 concerning the money scamming, lies, terrible isn't even close to the words that describe how I have been treated. read more

I am giving two stars because the staff was nice, misinformed, but nice. This is the second time I have tried to get an x-ray and have been given grossly inaccurate time estimates!!! I called before I drove here and was told there was a 15 min wait. I re-confirmed when I got here. I had to wait 45 min. DO NOT TRUST THEIR TIME ESTIMATES. If you are not retired or independently wealthy and have a schedule to follow be sure to quadruple any times they provide to possibly be on time to your other obligations! read more

Although the Tech was great, the front office was inconsiderate of anyones time. They told me come at 10 AM, without telling me my appointment was at 10:30 AM. I got there at 9:50 AM to be sure to have to time for paperwork that took all of two and a half minutes. So I SAT for 40 minutes for what took less than 5 minutes. read more

WARNING - DANGER - DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE I was scheduled for a non-contrast CT scan for possible kidney stones. I was asked to arrive 15 min early and not to eat for 4 hrs prior. I arrived 20 min early and was scolded by the front desk creature for not arriving 30-45 min early and told to drink a bottle of contrast. I said my doctor did not request contrast and was told I could not have the scan without it. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I couldn't and I would have to call the scheduling office. I left and called the scheduling supervisor and she confirmed what I already knew, that my doctor did not request contrast. I asked who played doctor and changed the order and she told me it happened on site. She apologized and told me she would have the site manager call me so we could reschedule and make sure my doctors orders were followed. Almost 48 hours later and no one has called. Here's the best part - the contrast solution masks kidney stones so if I had followed their orders the scan would have been useless. Do not accept what these people say - check everything they do - they cannot be trusted - they do not follow doctors orders - they do not care about you. read more

Omg I have had many mammograms done over the years but this is the first time it was pain free and I was walking out the door 15 minutes after my apointment time. No sitting around waiting on them to call your name. So so happy with this place and they do 3D images. I 8 never go anywhere else. read more

I had an x-ray to be completed at the Ahwatukee location this morning. I had been told by a scheduler that x-rays were walk in only and started at 8:00 am. I arrived 15 early and was please to see the door already open and a patient being checked in. Upon check in I was told by the staff that x-rays begin at 8:45 so I would need to wait which I did. The patient in front of me also needed an x-ray and an ultrasound. So when the patient was called back for procedures I was sure I would be next with my quick x-ray. However, this was far from the case. I watched the patient for an x-ray in front of me leave and I was never called back. I waited patiently for the check in line to shorten then asked about my file and when I would be called back because as of that time I had waited 2 hours and 20 minutes. The staff at the desk had trouble locating my file and when they did they said they would check. And of course when the staff came back to their desk no-one told me of the findings. I had to go back to the desk once again and ask. They said I would be called back which I was in another 10 min. The technician(asked if I had metal or smoked-while she reeked of smoke. Hmmm maybe that's where the tech was the whole time myself and other patients were waiting patiently for an x-ray???) who took me back had been walking in and out the whole time I was there and had only taken one patient back. My x-ray was done in 6 mins. and I left, but not without letting the man after me who had also been waiting the same amount of time that he should check with the desk on his status. I also let the man outside waiting because he was in pain and could not sit down to check his status. I watch an elderly woman who was in yesterday for her mammogram leave angrily as she had waited well over an hour today for her mammogram which she did not get yesterday. I get my mammograms at this location and I know the mammo tech is darn fast. I saw that tech take on two back for a mammogram in the long, long time I was there. SIMONMED NEEDS TO FIX THEIR NEW SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY: PHONE AND ON-LINE SCHEDULING. They are wasting everyone's time and money. Here's the SimonMed x-ray description online. I had 2 Xrays and a CT done recently and I have nothing negative to say about the technicians performing the imaging tests, they were great - very friendly and efficient with their functions. What I do want to point out is that if you get sent here for a Xray you could wait for hours on end to get called back to have it done. This is because even though they tell you there is only one or maybe two people ahead of you, Xrays are not a priority here. They are done on a "squeezed in" basis when there are no other patients there for other imaging - all other imaging aside from Xrays is based on an appointment, but you CAN'T make an appointment for an Xray. It is literally the most absurd setup I have ever seen anywhere. So if they have constant appointments you could wait for hours and hours - I did... I wasn't taken back for an Xray until the very end of the day when all other appointments were done for the day and neither was the lady ahead of me as well as the one waiting in line after me. Someone needs to develop some processes that keep this from happening or they need to start taking appointments for Xrays. read more

I had a mammogram appt on July 2, 2018 with Laura. She was great and I would highly recommend asking for her. She was very pleasant to deal with and didn't seem as rough as some technicians. I have large and sensitive breasts so usually mammogram appts really hurt but this one was much better. I would have given 5 stars but I had a bit of a wait in the afternoon. Maybe make appointments earlier in the day to avoid the backlogs in the afternoon. read more

Kennedy at the front desk was nice and caught a mistake made by the dr.'s office. Kim who did my ultrasound was nice and easy to talk to. Kim also let me know I could sent the results to another dr. which saved me the time and hassle of having to call one dr.'s office and get them to send my results to the other one (and hope they get there). I needed last minute x-rays and had a pleasant experience at Simon Med Ahwatukee location. Sara was very nice and professional.

Do NOT use any of their online scheduling or form/appnt check-in options. They do not work. I had to scheduled a routine mammogram 3 different times! First time: the appnt time offered online "shouldn't have been because the tech would have already left for the day" and the staff cancelled it without my acknowledgement. Second time: my online appnt was double booked by an in-person scheduler, so again, I got bumped. A month later...finally get my appnt with an in-person scheduler. Day of appnt: I submit their required online check-in forms from my car (due to Covid concerns) causing me arrive 2 mins late to my appnt. They ask for all my order and ids all over again at the desk, as if I didn't JUST submit them online. Then they call me back up after 15 mins and say, because I checked in late for my appnt time, the tech would have to "work me back into her schedule". I asked if I'd be waiting here all day, and they respond, "maybe. It's up to the tech.". Meanwhile, said tech is getting a drink from the back break room, staring at me the whole time through open door. Use a different imaging center. This will be my last time here. read more

Worst front desk staff ever!!!! Not sure if I was receiving poor customer service because I'm a Woman of color but I truly felt singled out and disrespected. It's bad enough being a woman worried about finding lumps and experiencing beast pain, but to be treated in a manner to where I was ready to turn around and go home but badly in need of a mammogram/Ultrasound. Catching eye contact with the ladies while entering the building, they were engaged in conversation. I stood at the counter, for what felt like an hour before one of the two staff finally stopped talking and acknowledged me verbally " we'll be right with you" Now a line has formed behind me. They play a few more minutes on their keyboards and the younger staff asks "do you have an appointment" now all of a sudden the older women's neck works and she wakes up to greet the people behind me. The lobby is full and all of the chairs are occupied. I check in and walk directly across from the counter standing along the wall, watching these two ladies being kind and performing their job duties to the people checking in after me was so baffling, recognizing that I was standing, they then informed the clients before walking away from checking in " there's an additional waiting area with more seating right though those doors" My treatment caused a gentlemen to offered me his seat, upon him getting up and walking towards the counter she then informed him about the additional seating as well. A woman seating next to where I was standing looks over at me, shakes her head in disbelief, I then take advantage of the additional waiting room. read more

I had to go in today for a CT Scan and the Technician was Stephanie Wood (I think that is her last name). She was absolutely wonderful and answered all my questions. She was gentle, caring, and made me feel at ease and made sure that I was calm thru the process. I want to send her a thank you note, but I am not sure if that is her last name. Anyway Stephanie has a great bedside touch. If I ever have a CT or MRI again, I will be asking for Stephanie. read more

I have had good experiences at this site until today. I don't recommend scheduling online for a couple reasons. First, you have to call back and give them information on the phone because you can't enter it on the website, so what's the point. Second, there is a much higher chance of having your appointment screwed up if it starts off as an online appointment. When I called back and gave all the information I thought everything was set. When I got to the office, no appointment. Not good when you you get no food and water since midnight. My choices are to try it again or wait until something opens up, screwing up my entire schedule. Rushed through procedure, records dept asked for previous baseline for comparison. Meanwhile they give my Dr inclusive results. Every time I call I'm disconnected or on hold for 10 or more minutes. Records dept. receptionist can't tell me her last name or the name of her boss. I finally drove back to the office that did the imaging and waited more than an hour for my records. I'm told that their office manager would call me at 9 am this morning... no call, no surprise. I'll have further imaging done elsewhere. read more

I have switched diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds to Simon Med Imaging Ahwatukee. The service there is top notch. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. This includes Sinia at the reception desk, the mammogram technician and especially Lexie the ultrasound technician. Lexie spent time with me and was willing to explain anything I had a question about. She was kind and thoughtful and I really felt like she cared about me as a patient. An added plus is she warms her gel! I will continue to come here for my breast diagnostics. read more

My primary care physician called at approximately 2:15pm on 11/20/18 to see if there was a possibility of getting me in for a CT scan that day. Not only did they accommodate me with a 3pm appointment, but the entire experience was a very positive one. Sinia Hopkins and Ashley Galiz (I requested their names) in the front office were fantastic. They were dealing with an extremely unreasonable client when I was there and not only handled themselves with extreme professionalism, but did so while acknowledging myself and making sure I was taken care of at the same time. As the Customer Service Program Manager for the Fleet Sales Department of U-Haul International, I deal with all levels of customer management and interactions. I have to say....... Brava Ladies! Nicely done. The CT Tech who handled my scan was equally as professional, efficient and put me immediately at ease. I believe her name was Stephanie. She thoroughly explained everything that would happen during the scan and what to expect. Very personable young lady. Overall, outstanding job across the board! On 12/26, I accompanied my daughter to get her MRI scans due to a foot injury. Her appointment was for 3:30 PM and she wasn't called back for even an hour. When she finally was, she was moved to a waiting room behind the reception area. She asked if she could go wait with me and they said no because they want it to seem like they are actually moving people through quickly. The staff was rude and chatting between themselves about non-work topic loud enough for the patients waiting to hear. They called out names loudly, often stating the amount of their deductible due or that they still needed a doctor's order. They showed little or no concern for the patients' comfort or privacy. The new girl was a trainee and very rude. When we finally able leave it was after 6PM. Other patients expressed frustration and my daughter also posted a bad review. We will never go there again as it was a horrible experience - rude, unprofessional and they generated no trust in their capabilities to even do the MRI correctly! Not sure I'd even give them a single star. read more

She truly wanted to understand my symptoms and medical history in order to perform the correct exam (with or without contrast). Needle pokes are usually multiple, so I told her I was a tough stick. She actually asked if I had any recommendations, based on what's worked in the past, followed what I said and got me the first time -- rock star! She completely explained the breathing instructions before the exam, which was very helpful, as well. I recently relocated to Arizona and had my first mammogram here at SimonMed Ahwatukee. Laura was the technician and she was amazing ! Very professional and also efficient; I was comfortable and we were done quickly and painlessly. I know that most reviews are for bad experiences, but this was exceptional. I also had my bone density the same day at the technician was also professional and compassionate. I am sorry that my anxiety made me forget her name, but I know that SimonMed must be doing something right to have two extraordinary employees at this site. read more

I really wish I can give this facility zero stars but I have to give them at least one. When I arrive there was no other patient inside the receptionist was very rude I weighed it filled out the paperwork gave it back someone came in after me and they were greeted in Santan before me I'm filling out the paperwork I told the receptionist that I have a HR a account which simply means my deductible is on the backend and I have an account set aside on the front end and was to cover my co-pay the receptionist did not want to except what I had to say and still charge me over $86 co pay. Then she when or to say I can get my money back from the billing Dept. I contact blue cross and wanted the receptionist to really speak to the insurance company and lease so she can have a better understanding when someone says they have that kind of account she refused told me to talk to Billy screamed at me and said I could lose my job for changing the co-pay I wasn't asking you to change the co-pay but trying to inform her as to what that type of account was Annalise contact the billing department and let them know that they may receive a call from me she stop talking to me other page since were coming in and she started talking over me to them. The x-ray technician not sure what her name was it was unprofessional as well she asked me why did your doctor request these x-rays I looked at her she said and don't tell me because he wanted to see him then she went on to say I'm not sure how to do this your feet are too long for the x-ray plate I wear size 9 but what does that have to do with it. I was there had a bandage on my big toe from just coming from the podiatrist office next-door having an ingrown toenail removed she was very unprofessional read more

the worst customer service ever! this is the second week i attempted to get an xray. another 3 1/2 hr wait for walkins and they will not schedule xrays!! when asked for a different location they sent me to one that didn't even have an xray tech. i had figured that since the service at the Dobson location was so lousy that ahwatukee may be better. It would be 0 stars but the gal who did my imaging was really great, so this review is for the HQ not this location specifically. The hold time to schedule an appointment is beyond unacceptable. I have had to make a couple of different appointments and every time you call its a 20-30 minute hold minimum. I've tried calling all different times and its the same thing. If you cannot answer the phone within a few minutes, you don't have enough employees. I am certain you can throw down money to properly staff your call centers. Anyone going here is likely not coming for something enjoyable so have the decency to answer in a reasonable time. I will not be using Simonmed going forward because of this. read more

I had a great experience here today along with my developmentally disabled daughter who needed some x-rays. All of the staff was friendly, but the x-ray technician, Andrea, went above and beyond! She helped my daughter to be comfortable, she helped me to feel relaxed, and she managed to get great "pictures" because she was creative and patient. We will definitely use this facility the next time we need any imaging. read more

I had such a great experience at this location, it was worth the drive. I arrived fifteen minutes prior to my appointment time, and by the time I filled out my paperwork, they already called me back. The mammography tech was very professional as was the ultrasound tech. I got my results the same day, which is really great when you are biting your nails waiting for news whether it be good or bad. I really appreciated their professionalism, as they were able to have compassion for me as a patient while giving me the best care possible. For any future imaging, I will choose this location anytime I possibly can. read more

SimonMed Imaging of Ahwatukee is a great place if you need to have any medical imaging type of services done. I myself had never been to SimonMed until Tuesday July, 10, 2018. I did not think that my visit to their office had any possibility of being anything close to pleasant. You see I was going in to have my very first mammogram performed. Yeah, OUCH! Right?!?! So I arrived a bit early for my appointment at 8:00am since I was taking the bus to get there I wanted to be sure that I wasn't late. To my surprise the office door was unlocked. A nice young woman greeted me and asked what time my appointment was. I told her it was for 8:00am, and she handed me a couple of forms to fill out. Once I turned in my completed paperwork, it was only a moment or two and my name was called. The tech introduced herself as Laura and walked me back to where she would be performing the mammogram. Laura explained to me what the procedure would included and what would be required of me. She was very patient and kind, and gentle while putting me into the various positions needed to have the most accurate scan possible. It took all of maybe 10 minutes to complete all the scans needed. Once those were done she explained the potential of being called back for additional scans because this was my first mammogram and they would not have any previous scans to compare the days results to. She told me not to worry if I was called back and that it was entirely normal. Overall the experience was not as excruciating as I was expecting it to be and that was in part due to the care that Laura took in doing her job. I would definitely recommend SimonMed Imaging to my family and friends. read more
