I started writing this as I sat half naked in the waiting room at that God forsaken place crying my eyes out as I was there there 40 min past my abdominal ultra sound. I went in as a request from my new Dr. so she could get her own review on what's going on in my abdominal area and the tech all of a sudden, titties out gel on and everything to decide she can't do the ultrasound?? That she needed to look at previous paperwork? There was no previous paperwork, she argued and laughed at me while trying to explain to her what and why I was there for. I almost lost it I told her to get out of the room that I needed someone else to help me. I don't mention stuff like this normally (she was an asain lady) but description matters for sure when she definitely needs some work in her field on how to handle situations. Smh. Thankfully they brought in a temp named Jennifer, she was absolutely amazing and apologized for everything and got my ultrasound all done! She was very pleasant and nice! I definitely won't be using this location when it comes to ultrasounds anymore. Smh. read more

Walk in x-ray? Fat chance! I went to the first location at Dobson where the sign for walk-in x-rays was DISPLAYED, beckoning people in at 3:30 pm. After walking my walker a long way to get in and waiting in line, I was blithely told they were no longer doing walk-in x-rays that day, even though they're open until 5. I had to go to a different location a few buildings away, where that line was nice and long, too. (I had checked the queue online. Don't believe it.) Even though I live very close to the Riggs and Alma School location, I won't even try it because when I would check the central number to make sure someone was there to do the x-ray, they said yes. But when I walked the mile wide parking lot and through the huge lobby, they would have put a small sign at the desk that x-rays weren't available. This happened to me three times total. They are stupid and lazy at that location. At least at the other locations you have a 50/50 chance of getting someone intelligent who treats you like a human being. Simon Med needs much better protocols (how about phoning the central number when x-rays are no longer available and taking down the signs saying "walk in?"), and they need to TEACH them to every dolt who works for them. And also consider that many of their customers have mobility issues so maybe have more than 2 disabled parking spaces in a crowded parking lot. read more

Be very cautious with this facility. Staff is friendly. However this is the second time they have more than doubled the estimated patient payment. The first time I thankfully caught and warned the receptionist that they did this to me before. She assured me the estimates were coming directly from my insurance company. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. I just hope patients stay on top of the overpayment and request refunds. They need to be reported to state. read more

I hope I can avoid this place in the future. I stood at the reception desk while the person sitting there was on the phone and wouldn't look up to acknowledge me for anything! Finally, when she got off the phone, I asked about getting a chest x-ray and she said it would be an hour to an hour and a half. I said, I can't wait today, so can I make an appointment? "We don't make appointments for x-rays." Went to EVDI after making an appointment today and they were efficient, fast, super nice and I know where I will always go from now on! read more

I wish I could give this place a ZERO, which is so sad because Simon Med is a great company, but the lady who works at the front desk at this office should not be working for such a company. Zero customer service skills will end up damaging the company's brand. My wife and my son went there early this morning. She has been going to Simon Med for years. We have excellent medical insurance. The lady at the front desk made a mistake, and although the billing department and the insurance both confirmed via phone that she was wrong, she became vulgar and disrespectful. I will work hard to make sure that the corporate office knows her behavior. No wonder this place doesn't have more than three stars. Sitting here in the parking lot for my 6:30 am MRI. I've been to both chandler, AZ locations off Dobson and the doors are locked. I was told to check in at 6, but nobody is at either location and the phone number to call hangs up after the message with no option for VM. There was another person waiting for a 630am appt who I spoke with. It was a second time she had been here. I'm disappointed this is the recommended option. read more

I got an MRI at this location and aside some woman in the lobby complaining about them not breaking HIPAA rules for her (with the usual "BUT OTHER PLACES HAVE" logic) it was very nice. MRI's do require an appointment (unlike the x-rays) but I was able to get one only a few days from when I tried and when I showed up it wasn't busy and everyone was very kind and considerate which was especially surprising as I was there very close to their closing time (they're open pretty late which is nice) when people are usually antsy and want to just get things done with and go home. I did have to return to get a disc of my images but this was also super easy and took only about 5 minutes. Nice location, nice late hours, and nice staff. I'm not afraid of MRI machines at all but even then they made sure to explain what to expect and how some people take it and made sure to make it as comfortable as possible. Results were gotten to my doctor in only a couple days. read more

I am giving Simon Mead one star because their technicians are wonderful and the office staff tries. However, everything from making an appointment to checking in is disastrous. It took 45 minutes to try and schedule my 1st appointment appointment and I had to call back again and do it all over submitting the information once again. Each time I go I have to fill out more paperwork and always have to wait. There is something seriously wrong with their system and it needs to be fixed. Arrived at SimonMed at 1pm, was told they would 'hold my place' because the wait time was an hour. Woman at the front told me to come back in 30-40 minutes. When I came back someone who was just checking in was there, I sat and waited and was not acknowledged until I made my presence known. They took the woman who just arrived before me (found out later that she was related to one of the employees there). Continued to have my time wasted for another hour only to find out I was being charged way more than my doctor said it would be. During this time another person's name who's spot was 'being held' was called. He arrived 20 minutes later, but they still took him before me. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Terrible customer service! 1. You are treated like cattle, no personality up front. 2. They do not try to help you figure out the best cost for the patient, it's on auto pilot here. 3. Don't plan on them being on time. They are way overpriced, billed my insurance $1500. I've since received amazing MRIs from $250-300 cash at other companies. if you have an High deductible plan, don't plan on the quote being accurate. In this day of phones & computers how hard is it to send a text or email to save the inconvenience of driving all the way over for naught, not to mention the continuing concern of not having test results. The worst customer service! Unbelievable! Scheduled appt in July. Got here and still waited 50 minutes after my scheduled time. Claimed they double booked. But no call indicating that. Kept getting texts to come 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. I was here. Still sitting in waiting room to be called back. 50 minutes after the scheduled appt. very unorganized! My husband has been going back and forth to multiple doctors, trying to find the cause of his pain. His urologist recommended going to Simonmed because they do the best imaging. So, we made an appointment over two weeks ago. He had his appointment scheduled for yesterday at 3:15 pm. When he called to get the address, they told him his appointment had been canceled. They claimed to have called him at 2:49 pm (minutes before) to tell him that they hadn't received pre-authorization from his insurance company. Now maybe this would be acceptable if he had made the appointment the day before, however, they have had his insurance information since the day we called to schedule the appointment. His insurance company says the authorization process can take up to 15 days, wouldn't they know this is a possibility? So, instead of still getting him in and authorizing after the fact, they just canceled his appointment? Here we are again, with absolutely no answers, and a highly recommended imaging company, that I would NEVER recommend to anyone. read more

Horrible billing practices. Walked in to pay my husband's bill to one of the Chandler locations. Months later, rCalled and spoke with practice manager at one of the Chandler locations. Upon her investigation, she said bill was paid and emailed me a receipt. She said there were different billing systems, and she would have the other billing system updated (this was probably 2-3 months ago). My husband also spoke with someone in finance, who my husband shared the receipt info with; they said okay, everything is fine. For the last few months, we received no statements and we though issue was resolved. Now we are receiving final notices that this bill is not paid, and it will next be sent to collections, which could ruin our credit. Very bad service they canceled my mom's mammo appt without telling us or leaving vM. And when we got there they told us it's canceled and it's not their business but handled by third party and they cannot do anything about it. They did not have supervisor, the reason was cOvid and then a lady appeared from back and resolved half of the issue . Their service was poor and they are clearly lying about not having a supervisor. I love Simon-Med Imaging!!! The staff is very busy but very efficient. Yes, sometimes they forget to smile and be friendly but we do the same to them. After all, we are physically hurting and we rather be home. I love Simon-Med Imaging!!! They saved my life and gave me hope for another day. I am truly grateful for their totally awesome staff!!! The Front office staff is not friendly or welcoming at all... I walked in and the woman at the front desk (wearing leggings and a dumpy sweatshirt, looked like she just woke up, messy hair, looked like she didn't want to be there) Didn't say "hello" or "how can I help you?".... She just stared at me until I said "Hi.... I'm here for an appointment ". She was rude during the entire check in process. Then the first medical assistant (short woman with pulled back dark hair) that took me back was just as pleasant... she seemed like she didn't enjoy her job just like the front desk person... not welcoming or friendly either... very monotone and cold, rushed through her scripted questions. Luckily, the second medical assistant in the back was very nice and reassuring (taller woman with long straight blonde hair)... she actually seemed like she cared about her patients and wanted to make sure they were comfortable, etc. She was the only nice and caring person there, which I appreciated, and she is the only reason I am giving a 3 star review. read more

I had a 1pm appointment and it took 30 minutes for them to call me back. Which is ridiculous since they told me to drink a gallon of water before my appointment. The least you can do is make sure you're on time when you ask a patient to do that. Next rant- if your about to give me an internal ultra sound work on your bedside manner! No one wants someone poking around their hoohah by a creepy and awkward ultra sound tech! What a horrible experience. read more

They made us wait for 45 minutes and then took us to a small room and doctor didnt see us before 9:45am. Surely there are other imaging centers. I wish I had also read these reviews before stepping foot in this office. I was supposed to have an injection than MRI. I had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes prior to check in time. In 2.5 hours, I had the injection, but then was STILL waiting in lobby for the MRI portion of my test. Never did they mention they were running behind and when I asked why it was 1 hour after my appointment, I was told 5 more min. After waiting 15 minutes after that "5 min" estimate, I left. Who has 3+ hours to spend in a doctor's office? I can only imagine it's going to be a nightmare when they try to charge me/my insurance for a test never completed. At all costs, avoid this place. This place is a flippin circus! Limited waiting areas and I heard several HIPAA violations including my own based on patient information being exchanged in the waiting areas. I was there for a mammogram and an US. Some random employee who never properly identified me by name and DOB insisted I was having a left shoulder xray. I followed him thinking he may know something I dont when he finally realized he had the wrong patient. Meanwhile, two other people were looking all over for me so I could get my US done. On a positive note I loved the mammo and US girls as well as Dr. Goodman. However still recommending/voicing my concerns to my pcp and will find a new pcp if I have to use Simon Med. I had my MRI today. Was taken back on time and was done with time to spare before my next appointment which was in the same complex, just a couple doors down. The tech assistant Sierra was great as was Robert the MRI technologist. I have read other reviews about how bad this office is, and while I know those are valid, my experience was just the opposite. It couldn't have been any better. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the multiple offices in same area. I called ahead the night before to make sure I went to right office and still ended up at the wrong one. Note to the management: Read your reviews. They all seem pretty consistent regarding wait times. Your patients time is valuable. If you respected that, and took steps to fix that issue, you would have better reviews at your centers than 2 stars. read more

So this is a doctor-owned facility? Is that why they have no "customer service". This world is beyond screwed up. So there is a virus affecting some people, and everyone loses their ability to use common sense? And now it is the ONLY issue we are dealing with? This organization clearly has operational issues, and after reading other reviews about things like their billing practices I will be steering clear of this place. I had never used SimonMed before but was referred there by a heart specialist for my son. So I first went online to schedule an appointment for my son. After not receiving the anticipated "confirmation email" and online registration, I called to check. I spoke with someone with a difficult accent on a phone line with major interference. It sounded like it might be another country, but I digress. Although I made an online appointment, there is 'no record of that in the system". So after a half hour of slow information gathering, I had an appointment set. Then I went online to fill out the registration paperwork only to find my son is listed as a female, and I am unable to change it. I called the facility the following day, and after a brief 10 minute hold a young man helps me and changes it on his end. He says I should do a refresh on my computer and it will show the changes. I refreshed. Nothing. Waited 5 minutes. Nothing. Having no confidence in their systems at this point, I decided to just manually fill out paperwork in the office before my son's appointment. So we went a little early. The facility was right on the corner of the intersection, nice and easy to see..... until we got inside and were told that there are 3 different SimonMed offices in that complex, and we were not at the correct one. (No one could mention this when we made the appointment??) The thing is, even the few minutes we were there we saw others with the same predicament.... oops - wrong facility location. So we walked to the next facility 2 buildings away. Saw a sign on the door saying everyone must wear a mask to enter. No problem, we have our masks on. The one person in the waiting room left, and we proceeded to the desk to check in. I was with my 19 year-old delayed, autistic son who was the patient. I was told I would not be able to wait in the waiting room. I would need to wait outside (it was 111 degrees outside). I asked why, if I am wearing a mask, and everyone else is wearing one, AND all of the seating is 6 feet apart, AND the waiting room is completely empty, why is it necessary for me to wait outside? "Because that's our policy" She kept repeating that with every question I asked, as if that was a satisfactory answer. Why did no one tell me this when I made the appointment? Why was it necessary to kick me out of there before we were even in the door? Well, they wanted me in there to PAY for the exam. I was already so pissed at that point that I snapped my credit card back out of Ms. "Because that's our policy's" hand. Then my son had the paperwork to fill out which he could not do completely on his own so as I helped him, I was reminded that I have to wait outside, implying that I certainly have no business being in that waiting room with my son, helping him fill out his paperwork. Then I coached him a little on what to expect during the procedure to ease his nervousness a bit. Again I was told, you have to wait outside. WTF? Do you people have ANY common sense except to say "that's our policy"? Your ONLY CONCERN IS COVID NOW AND NOTHING ELSE??? NO ONE ELSE? And putting this "wait outside" policy in force when it is 111 degrees outside? They told me to go shopping!? 1. What kind of a parent leaves her child at a medical facilty and goes out shopping? 2. There are no stores around. Only a hospital, an urgent care, an a whole slew of medical offices. I would have to drive miles to get to a shopping center. 3. I have had heat stroke and now am heat-sensitive. I was barely able to hold off getting another heat attack and migraine, but you know, all that is important now is COVID --- no one else matters. Forget it. I will not use this place again. read more

I really wish I would have read these posts before my appointment, I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere! I only read these while on my way there and googling the address, and then there was Yelp! When I make an appointment somewhere, and I'm late (doesn't actually happen...), I would be put at the back of the line, or even turned away if I'm too late, but still charged . Why aren't these offices held to these same kind of standards??? I have a M-F schedule for the most part. Appointments are already difficult for me to schedule. When I heard Simon Med had late hours and weekends, I was very happy to jump at a Sunday appointment and not have to miss work! Nightmare begins now. My appointment was at 12:30 with a 12:00 check-in. I arrived at 12:00 on the dot. I filled out my pre-work paperwork, and then when I hand it to the receptionist at 12:15, I'm told they are running 30-45 minutes behind. Ok, cool. So I asked if I could leave real quick instead of sitting there, was told yes, and I went to the car wash. Being that I'd be in around 1:00, I was back by 12:40. I sat in the waiting room with 2 other people that were obviously just as annoyed as I was, and clearly there was no policy in regards to cell phones, because both of them were watching movies on their phones with the sound cranked. Ever heard of headphones??? I was (finally) taken back to the locker area at about 1:20. So much for 30-45 minutes behind. When I got there and put my belongings in a locker, I was told "just a few more minutes. Longest "few minutes" of my life. I can tell you that there are about 286 black tiles on the floor in the waiting area. I know, I had nothing else to do there for the next 40 minutes. Meanwhile several staff members walked past me to put their lunches in the microwave, etc. Awesome. I was considering leaving, when they finally came and got me at 1:58. Seriously, 2 hours after my "appointment" time. My MRI appointment lasted 3 excruciating hours. The tech was nice enough to offer up that she had not even had her lunch yet. Well, neither had I, since I did not intend to be there for 3 hours. She thanked me for waiting, and I said "I didn't really have a choice". She explained that one patient kept moving so they had to keep staying over (Seriously? Make her reschedule!), And another needed extra images. This place has a bad case of not-my-fault syndrome. Unless it's a life or death situation, I won't be back, there are plenty of other choices. read more

This corporation has the very worst online service. For a company that has a corner on the imaging market, they should invest in one of the many applications for patient portals and scheduling that many other successful medical practices utilizes. They have an patient portal supposedly but IT DOES NOT WORK so don't bother using it. Also, if you complete paperwork at one building in the same complex, the staff has no idea how to share it with an office 100 feet away. Come on people, get with the current day and install an application and train your staff how to use it. Your patients are smarter than you are!!! I believe your staff would appreciate the ease of scheduling, having patients records updated online and being able to see their appointments online, canceling them online and all the other modern day processes that existing medical patient scheduling applications can do for you. Simon Med - reinvest in your own company and improve your business for staff, the patients you see and the doctors you serve. This review is NOT from a one time occurrence but over 5 years of painfully having to deal with the inadequate service that is provided with scheduling, updating patient information and being told "we don't have you in our system" yet having been a patient at multiple locations, numerous times year after year! read more

Oh my goodness money hungry is all I can say! If I could give them a zero I would! I sat in their waiting room for over almost 2 hours watching them take people coming in after me get called back, waiting for my over 40 preventative mammogram. They told me to get a referral and they would not do my wellness screening mammogram without it. Mind you my insurance already advised me that a simple mammogram is covered. I was like say what, for a preventative mammogram, that my insurance covers at 100%? Are you serious? Welp, just so they know: Do I Need a Referral (Prescription) to Receive Mammography? No, many centers that perform mammography allow women over 40 to simply call and make an appointment for a screening mammogram without requiring a referral (prescription) from a physician. ... Diagnostic mammography requires a physician referral. So here's the break down: PCP or OBGYN who person has to see to get the referral gets paid for your visit and then they get paid to do a higher tech more expensive mammogram and add in other things to elevate the amount charged for services so that patient now has copays and other unpaid by insurance provider billing because insurance only covers basic mammogram not 3-D or ultrasounds or anything else that you are billed. This tells me that for this place, it's a better payday with diagnostic and that it's not what the patient actually is there for! Smh shame on you for trying to take from women who are trying to keep their breast health up! You are part of the reason that so many cases go undetected, untreated and undiagnosed for so long! read more

If you have to use this business, I would review what you pay extremely thoroughly.The only reason this isn't a one star review is because the staff in the buildings are very polite. I went in for an MRI, and even though my insurance card said I had a copay for a certain amount, they had me pay a much higher amount. It was there "estimate after insurance", I was confused since I only had a copay, but figured I may be wrong and could sort it out later. I get the explanation of benefits from my insurance, and sure enough I only should have paid the copay, as my insurance paid every other penny owed. You call to contact them and if you select the option requesting an account review(it happens enough that there is an option for it), you go straight to a voicemail saying it will be reviewed within 3-4 weeks. This was back in August... I still have yet to get the $50ish dollars I am owed... or speak to a human being for that matter. I have called multiple times, and if you just call the front desk to ask about it they tell you that you have to leave a voicemail. Seems pretty fishy to me... read more

As soon as your doctor's orders hit their system they start calling and texting you relentlessly. I HAVE A JOB. They need to stop harassing patients to make appointments. Once you schedule the appointment, you are lucky if their outsourced call center got it right. I haven't had one appointment scheduled correctly yet. Then you show up to find A) your appointment was cancelled for an unknown reason or B) the office staff is completely rude. If you get your appointment, you are lucky to get a nice technician. My last CT, the person literally got pissed off at me because I was allergic to contrast dye. It clearly states my allergies on my chart and the forms I filled out. But she was pissed! Like her day was ruined? This company has lost sight of what patients needing scans are going through. The stress of needing a scan is exacerbated by their incompetence. This company should get out of the healthcare industry, it requires kindness, organization and compassion which is 100% absent at SimonMed. read more

I had 2 breast biopsies done in April. Unfortunately, I was laid off right after due to Covid. I reached out to them several times to work with me as I am currently unable to pay my 2200 bill. They keep telling me to write to their financial hardship department to ask for help. Two managers have advised me to do so even after they initially denied me. They stated that if I explained the situation they may work with me. Nope. They keep denying my request to lower the payment due to the fact that it happened AFTER my procedure. Unfortunately, I couldn't predict the economic shut down that occurred for the 1st time in history. I'm a medical professional and have seen and personally helped hundreds of patients lesson the burden of medical bills during tough times. I'm shocked that SimonMed would not budge considering they have a charitable foundation called SimonMed Cares. I beg to differ. read more

they recieved a referral from my e.n.t. dr office and called me. when i returned the call they had no record of me. so i asked the dr office to resend it. finally got ahold of someone who could find my record there and scheduled an appt for my CT. when i got to the location they scheduler gave me they said sorry wrong office you need to go to this on. well that office said the same thing and so did the one after that. It's an hour past my appt. when I asked the unpleasant lady at the front she said I don't know why they tell you that you can make an appt. we take walk ins in front of you. I had a terrible experience at the Dobson and Frye office today. I was one of the first people to arrive this afternoon, I waited for 2 hours and everyone that came in after me was seen while I was still waiting for my X-ray. When I finally got called back the lady who preformed my X-rays said I was NEVER CHECKED IN AT ALL. I spoke to both of the front desk ladies while I had been waiting and neither of them informed me that they forgot to check me in nor how long the wait was supposed to be. Do not use this location!! Go to EVDI or Banner Imaging. I walked in right behind a lady and we both got asked to fill paperwork out. Asked how long wait was and was told 20mins. I finished and gave mine, the woman finished hers shortly after mine. She got called back up because her order wasnt legible. They think they figured it out and she sat down. The receptionist then spends 20 mins trying to get a order from the ladies doctor rather than finishing my check in. I had my order in hand, all paperwork done etc. Receptionist finally finished with the missing order and tells the tech. The tech Immediately pops out and calls the woman... are you kidding me, I could have been done in that 20 mins. Mine was extremely straight forward. I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be, she said well I only have one tech and she just took someone back. Wow great job... I appreciate you spending time helping that woman, but clearly you should have re prioritized and done mine real fast to make the most out of everyone's time. I walked out and did not give them my business, they clearly don't value my time. And just to reiterate me and the woman walked in at the same time. read more

I attempted to make an appointment on 10/19 online and selected the closest location. I received a call the day before advising I selected a time that was allocated to someone else. Fast forward to 10/24 , I made another ONLINE appointment only to receive a call advising the same sitiation transpired as before and they could check another location that is about 16 miles away from my home. Why the heck would I want to use my gas and drive out of my way for their mistake! The manager had the nerve to call me back with no other solution than what was already offered by the previos scheduler. I kindly informed her that she was wasting my time and I didn't want to make another appointment at Anytime! DO NOT GO THERE!! First, you are on hold for over 45 minutes just to get a live person. Heaven forbid they do not want to talk to you they will put you on hold and then drop the call. Once you finally get a person to you make the appointment. I went for my MRI and was told they didn't get the authorization yet. When I ask for the phone number to the authorization department I was told "I am not allowed to give that out". No matter what I ask the same answer NOT ALLOWED. So left without the MRI. Went back home to spend another 90 minutes on the phone to make another appointment. Ask twice when I made the appointment if it was with and without contrast and was told yes. Got back to the brat at SimonMed and ask her is this with and without contrast and was told yes. Was called back to have the MRI done and ask again is this with and without contrast and was told YES. To my extreme surprise once the MRI without contrast was done I was told I would have to make another appointment for the MRI with contrast. WTF????????? I was told by the scheduling department, the front office staff, and the guy doing the MRI if this was going to be with and without contrast!! Now informed I had to make another appointment. Like hell, I will spend another hour waiting for someone to screw me around again. NEVER AGAIN will I use SinonMed!! read more
