This is a favorite place for locals to go in Asheboro. The food is absolutely wonderful. It is very fresh. Some of the veggies the owner grows in her own garden. The menu is incredible. People who have traveled overseas say Simply Asian is THE place to go for authentic Thai food. I don't know what my favorite item on the menu is. I started off with drunken noodles and moved to orange chicken and then to the very tasty fried fish and then to the crystal noodles. You can pick your choice of meat to go with it. I have eaten so many different items on the menu I cannot tell you which I like best because they are all so good. Oh, the brown sauce is heavenly. I just want to suck it up with a straw. It is so delicious. And the broth for the wonton soup has a little something special in it. I love love love this restaurant and the employees and owners are incredible. They know their regulars' names - and there are a lot of us regulars. It is an exceptionally good place to eat if you like fresh food, great service and are tired of hamburgers, home-cooked meals and fast food. Oh this place is delicious!! I had the sesame chicken and added mushrooms. They cook their food made to order and it comes out hot and melts in your mouth. Other places in town are too breaded but not this place. Crab wontons are great. Free Soup at lunch time. Ordered: crab Rangoon, pho, sesame chicken, and pad Thai. Crab Rangoon was really good! The sesame chicken was good, a little on the mustard flavor side but good with the fried rice. The pho was good, also like that they pickle their own jalepenos, added spice the broth and it was good. The pad Thai was inedible, tasted like they dumped half a bottle of ketchup in the sauce. Do not recommend ordering it. The staff was kind, everyone was nice and friendly. We were really surprised because the reviews are great however, the pad Thai did not hit the mark. read more

The current owner Renia is awesome. I have been to several Asian restaurants but simply Asian is the most hospitable. My husband and I take out a lot in Asheboro. Renia is the only one who will bring me tea out to our vehicle while my husband is in the restaurant waiting for take out. She cares for her customers and our community needs to support her. The food is very good. Tonight I had the combination seafood fried rice with shrimp, muscles, and scallops. The seafood was fresh. I have also had the Mongolian beef. In my opinion the Mongolian beef is better than PF Chang with a much lower price I highly recommend everyone to give Simply Asian a try. read more

I enjoy Taste of Asia as well on the other side of town but again I always get the same thing because I'm Vegetarian. Great meal. We tried the crab wontons, spring rolls, I had drunken beef noodle and hub had teriyaki beef. The portions were generous, the food was fresh and made to order and was very tasty. This restaurant is amazing!! The beef and chicken in the curries was so tender, and the portions are huge! We ordered three dishes and they came with free bowls of egg drop soup and a scoop of rice! By the end of the meal, we were stuffed! We ordered Thai hot for all of the curries but it wasn't hot at all. It might have been a good thing though because otherwise we would've burnt our tongues off! Our waitress was so nice and so informative about the options!
