After my dear old dentist of many years retired, I've been to several dentists in Orange, and after my 4th dentist in 3 years I almost gave up trying to find one in Orange. I am so glad I tried just one more. Dr. Kim and her staff are both so professional, yet sweet, dentist explains procedures as she moves around, is extra concerned about pain, and just mindful of what she is doing. They did not try to charge me for random unnecessary items and procedures like EVERY OTHER DENTIST I have visited in this area. The office is so clean with modern equipment and is a converted cottage made into an office, so cute and quaint. The cleaning was so thorough and she even spotted a problem I'd been having and had forgotten about in the last few weeks. Went to OC Smiles on Friday 3/13/26 for a loose implant because my dentist is closed on Fridays…read more Helena was great and the only good thing i will have to say about my experience. I didn't need a diagnosis, since I told the dentist that my implant was loose. He decided to take a ct scan, charge me for it and charge me for his false "diagnosis." $290 later.. he told me I need a New crown and wanted me to pay $2900 to return for 2 more visits to "fix" it. I Declined his outrageous treatment plan, knowing my implant was just loose. I waited until Monday with no problems and went to my dentist Dr. John Vartanian (Newport Beach) who did the implant for me. He tightened the screw and I was out of there in 10 minutes for free. I believe SoCal Smiles owes me $290 back for their unnecessary scan and incorrect diagnosis. They were trying to sell me something I didn't need and I'm quite upset about how this was handled when I brought it to their attention. I would go elsewhere and not trust this place with your time or money.
