We decided that Simply Pho is our favorite place to eat super in town. We ordered the Broccoli Ginger Chicken and the Glass Noddles with curry and chicken. Those two meals as different as they were had the most amazing flavors. The vegetables were still crisp, the ginger sauce had a wonderfully deep flavor. The Glass noddles were light and complex in the sweet yellow curry. We are looking forward to eating our way through the menu. read more

Food wasn't bad. This is my second visit here and I've had Phó and Lo Mein, and both were adequate with very little flavor. This time the service was poor. Several minutes to be greeted and seated. Zero personality from the server. I asked if the Lo Mein could be made spicy and was told yes. Came out with zero spice. No big deal, can I have some sriracha? So I get my check and a to go box. I said thanks and asked for sriracha again. This time I got a small to go of cilantro. The table next to me waited for over ten minutes for their check and to go boxes before finally getting up and getting them. If you have no taste buds, this place will be good for you. Was looking for something different - was not let down! Very tasty and fresh. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I didn't get what I thought I'd ordered. I was pleased to find a pho restaurant in my area; it's a favorite of mine. The serving size was good (small bowl), the bean sprouts were perfectly fresh. The broth was adequate but I could not detect the signature spices I associate with good pho: star anise, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, fish sauce. The meats in the combination dish were good enough, the raw beef nice - but I hope with time and exposure their customers will want the traditional variety I enjoy: tripe, tendon, fat brisket etc. read more

My husband and I totally enjoy the food at SPH and we eat there at least once a week. We usually have a view of the front counter and door and are always amazed at the constant stream of customers picking up their take-out orders. Plus the restaurant is never less than half full, and many times it has been just about full. The service is very good and they are all very friendly. I try to eat lighter fare and the dishes I have had have been delicious. I like lots of flavor and always look forward to my SPH meal. There is a limited, but good choice, of local and other beers and drinkable wines are offered. We have not visited or ordered from the smoothie bar at the back of one of the dining rooms, but it seems to be a hit too. read more

First time visit and my husband and I will be back. Really nice yet casual place. A good variety of dishes on the menu to choose from. Egg rolls were tasty. Husband ordered the sesame chicken, which was good although he said the chicken was a little on the dry side. I ordered the curry dish (listed under chef's specials), which I really enjoyed. The bell peppers and onions were fresh and the yellow house curry was good. We opted for fried rice instead of white--it was excellent! However, the rice was served to us a few minutes prior to our main dishes instead of at the same time. Decent beer selection, which was nice and cold. Paul is an excellent and attentive server. Tried some Thai takeout on a recent Saturday night. It was just not good. The noodles appeared to be right out of a package. Still folded and not sliced. The green curry was not green and full of bell peppers. The fried rice was even bad. The problem with this place in my opinion is they try to offer too many styles of Asian dishes and they're not really very good at any of them. We also had great difficulty placing the order. When I spoke to the manager about the whole experience a couple day later, she was polite and offered to make it right (two entrées and a side fried rice was $32.) but she never emailed me like she said she would so we probably won't be going back. I normally don't review restaurants after just one visit but this was an exceptionally disappointing situation. On the positive side, our order was ready when we arrived as promised. read more

Love their 13-hour chicken broth in the veggie pho! Many thanks to great server Ashley for helping us on our first visit -- so patient. Other servers have been pleasant and helpful but Ashley is a stand-out. Would have given 5 stars but: No lunch menu. (The small pho bowl is huge and an even smaller lunch size would be welcome.) Also: Egg rolls only come with pork and we don't eat pigs. Just because Simply Pho has a successful Bee Caves operation doesn't mean it can translate to Marble Falls/Horseshoe Bay diners; the owner should check with the Jamail family on this who tried to bring their DT Houston (Montrose/museum area) grocery business to Horseshoe Bay. I have been a die hard Pho fan for 15 years and was happy to find out Simply Pho was opening and upon my first visit was more than happy. My only problem is that after ordering P2 Pho I had planned on moving on through the menu and have made 7 or 8 trips back and can't stop ordering P2 with the raw ribeye cooking in the broth. One of the best I have ever had. I have another plan, ordering different items to go because from what I've seen, it looks terrific. I will report back after further investigation. read more

I do not understand how this restaurant has raving reviews. Our food was very greasy, I have tasted much better in the area. I ordered red curry soup with beef and vegetables and was given a soup that was loaded with onions, bits of bell peppers and strange awkwardly cut pieces of beef. It is way too pricey for the low quality of the food. On the other hand the decor is very nice and customer service is good but I would not recommend this place to others. read more

The food in this restaurant is really good. We love the food. The wait staff needs a lot more training. The first time we ate there we were seated next to the owner and so the staff was overly attentive to the point of being a nuisance. Once the owner left, the wait staff became very lazy and ignoring us. We had to flag down a waiter to get the attention of our waiter to get more water and napkins. After we were done with our meal we had the same problem getting our check and paying our bill. Today we had the same inattentive staff problem as we had last time. We had to flag down the bus girl to get our server to bring napkins and sauce then when we could not flag down anyone to bring us our bill for over 10 minutes. Finally we both began waving and the bus girl saw us and came over and we had to have her get our server so we could pay our bill. Terrible service! read more

Wife and I ventured to Marble Falls on July 16 for a reputed quicker driver license renewal at the Marble Falls DPS office and decided to take the opportunity to have lunch at a new place (for us). I saw Kung Pao Chicken on the menu, and since it is one of my favorites, I ordered. Sauce and vegetables were fine but chicken was awful. It was configured as large chunks, battered and deep fried as is done for something like General Tso's chicken. Bad enough, but it was dry and tough as though it had been precooked. When server asked about our food, I commented that I was very disappointed. Before I could explain, he suggested chicken was too dry and volunteered that he had informed the cooks many times before, but they wouldn't change practice. OK, it's a pho house, and I probably should have ordered pho. But Chinese style items are on the menu. If the restaurant is going to offer them, I think they should make same effort to provide quality for all items on menu. If I ever go to Marble Falls again, I won't have lunch at Simply Pho House. read more

A little confused how this place has a 5 star rating as we couldn't even stand the place long enough to try any of the food. When we got there, we sat near the bar in hopes of watching the NBA All star game. We ordered our drinks, I went to the restroom, where I almost got hit by one of the waiters. Meanwhile the waitress's around him not doing anything, laughed at me. Not the best start. Brushed it off. When I got back to my table, my husband informed that they were not ABLE to change the tvs. Ok, that's fine, but why? They could not give us a good reason. Reason 1: it was too much work. Reason 2: The remote was in the managers office, which was locked. Ok, where's the manager? Our waitress happened to be the manager, who apparently couldn't get in there. Seems confusing?? Reason 3: they don't know what channel TNT is. What???? Long story short arguments went back and forth. We ended up leaving. Then my husband went back in there. Ends up, the waitress, Ashley, was not actually a manager. SAD! I am in the service industry and this is the WORST service I have ever seen. Very disappointed.
