We ordered the first time very yummy everything crispy. I came to the well a 2nd time not so good. Salad blend soft and wilty. My avacado at the bottom I'm guessing cause it was brown egg not Chopped. All add ins on the side of my bowl. They had problems with the website so I ordered pick up. I never got a text saying my order was ready so I went at their suggested time of completion. I like the salad choices a little pricey once you get the build your own. Order on their web site. Doordash charged for each individual add on. The build your own salad should come with 5 five free add ons.21 for what you see in my picture. I guess that's the price when you do take out. I ordered the earthy, nutty, crunchy salad. The salad was supposed to come with simply salad mix, tofu, grilled corn, artichoke hearts, beets, croutons, edamame, and sunflower seeds. None of this was in the salad. I ordered additional veggies broccoli, cilantro, crispy onion, garbanzo beans, grape tomatoes, kidney beans, mushrooms, and red onions. I also asked for quinoa to substitute the tofu. I order this salad all the time. Don't know what went wrong tonight, but the salad is only the greens, garbanzo & kidney he beans, broccoli, and onions. Very disappointing. Two stars because the salad mix was fresh. read more

My partner and I were looking for something quick and healthy to eat, we passed by the Gardena Simply Salad location and decided to try it. Almost $15 for a salad is definitely more than I would think to spend, but once we received our salads the portions were huge and tasted amazing! Just stopped by again today for lunch, this time ordering "The Hispter". The service is great, workers have been kind both times I have been here, and it is well kept and clean! I decided to try Simply Salads on yesterday, Dec 14 so I could have a place to buy fresh salads when my regular restaurant is closed. I ordered the Downtown Cobb and a cup of Clam Chowder. When I received my food the first thing I noticed was they have good portion sizes. The clam chowder tasted good however it had an after taste like eating minerals. I can only attribute it to the clams. The pita chips were very hard and salty. The salad looked great. Upon tasting it the lettuce was slightly wilted and the avocado was over ripe and very mushy. The chicken was bland and the pita bread was bland as well. The thing that disturbed me the most was one of the workers. I watched her assist a customer. She took money from the customer and completed the transaction. That went well. However, when she was done she turned to the back counter and pulled down some sheets and a large wheat looking tortilla. The problem was she did it wearing the same gloves she had on when she was handling money. I called her over to the counter alone and said, "Shouldn't you change your gloves because you handled money?" Her response was, "I was going to." My response, "You should have done that before you started handling the wrap papers and the tortilla. I hope that tortilla is not for me because that is not right what you just did." She had no response, she just walked away and started talking to a co-worker. I am totally disappointed with how they handle the food as well as the quality and flavor of the food. I will never go back. It is so hard these days to trust people to prepare your food. If they do things like not properly changing their gloves in front of the customers then I can only imagine what they do when we are not paying attention. My niece told me the salads were good but that was not my experience. Unfortunately this first impression is a lasting one. The only other thing I can say on a positive note is I liked the decor but that's not enough to go back. read more

Food great. Location Clean. Music too loud. These poor employees shouldn't be exposed to that for 6 to 8 hours a day. It's overstimulating. Not good for your brain or ears. OSHA sets a limit of like 90db... Not good that customers have to yell to be heard. Management do better. read more

I guess it wasn't bad enough that GrubHub initially delivered my food to the wrong address, but when I finally received it, this was inside. I used to love this place, but they can't seem to make an order right. My last two orders arrived incorrectly. Last time, I asked for salmon to be chopped into my salad, and they forgot the salmon. I called and they offered me 20% off. 20% off doesn't even cover the $5.00 that the salmon costs! I just ordered from them again, and again they got the order wrong. I. asked for the salmon to be chopped into my salad again, and this time they added the salmon but they didn't chop it in. Again, they highlighted the receipt with those instructions, but didn't do it. Disappointed.....I've been a fan of Simply Salad since they opened their first one in DTLA and go there on average more than once a week. I hope the owners crack down on these mistakes and get this location to be more carefiul. read more

I've eaten at Simply Salad in DTLA so many times. I was excited when the Gardena location opened, but I've had nothing but disappointment. The first time I had eggshells in my salad. Imagine eating a salad and then chewing egg shells in every other bite. I end up throwing it away. I left feedback on the website and never heard back. I decided to give Simply Salad in Gardena another try today and I'm so disappointed. I will never go there again. The salad dressing was horrible. Fresh salads every time. The steak salad you have to be sure they add all the ingredients. Ive has it 2x and no asparagus was in it both times. If you have to omit an item they should allow a substitution at no cost. They should also put a descrip of the ingredients of the dressings on the website or grub hub menu too. People have allergies. Great place for salad as there is one other place like this in Gardena. The menu choices offers a good variety but build your own salad is highly recommended. I love the amount of protein, toppings and ingredients you can choose from. There are about 10 different salad dressing choices too. There are also 3-4 soups available too. When your salad is made, it gets chopped up and tossed together. Make sure to let the worker know to not chop up your salad too much. My salads were a bit "beat up" and quite wilted from over chopping the first couple of times. Dressings are pretty good too and taste fresh & housemade. The is not a lot of space to dine in but more standing room to wait for your salad to be tossed & chopped. Salad portions are not skimpy and dressing is just enough. I love dressing so I always pay extra for another 1-2oz. I have only needed about another ounce at most. The workers are friendly & helpful. Great service too. read more

I echo the sentiments of many of the previous reviews...glad to have a salad place instead of coffee, lots of options, they have a phone app. Honestly, I think this place would work well as a ghost kitchen because it DOES take a long time if you just "show up" in person and place an order to eat there. It's geared towards mobile orders, I think. I walked in, did not see a menu board. It is a small, printed menu handed to you. You make choices, then it's not made in front of you (a la Chipotle). You go to the other end and wait. And wait, while mobile orders come in and are being picked up. Also no signage there, so people have to ask about mobile orders, and then be directed to talk to someone to get their order. Staff are pleasant enough, but you get the feeling they not are really there to interact with customers, more like to fill orders. Fountain Drink options pretty minimal or just grab and go in the refrigerated case. I would return, but probably only to pick up a mobile order. read more
