Good: 1) easy to order online; 2) good selection and size of dressings; 3) dressing automatically comes on the side; 4) the avocado was fresh; and 5) there are lots of great veggie options including those higher in protein like peas, edamame etc. Bad: 1) ordered early for pickup at 10:45 am and think I got yesterday's mushrooms and celery - they were brown and yucky-looking; 2) parking is terrible; 3) employees don't pick up the phone so good luck if you're circling the block trying to find the place, or inquire about parking; 4) no curbside pickup (if they do it unofficially like some downtown places, who knows, since they don't answer the phone); and 5) my iced tea came in a bottle with a label that simply says "Enjoy" and the Simply Salad name/logo - no ingredient list, calorie count or ANY info - is that even legal?? read more

Thank you for responding to my previous review to get a free salad on my order that was made incorrectly. I was really disappointed with my experience. I ordered a veggie-filled salad expecting it to be completely plant-based, but unfortunately there was a piece of bacon mixed into it. As a vegan, this is a big issue for me and something I'm very careful about. I understand that mistakes can happen, especially in busy kitchens, but this kind of mix-up is concerning for customers who rely on their dietary preferences or restrictions being taken seriously. I hope the staff can be more careful with ingredient handling and preparation in the future, especially when it comes to vegetarian or vegan orders. This was by far the worst Simply Salad. We went at 7 PM on a Friday night, and they had almost nothing prepared--no steak, the chicken was extremely dry, no salmon, and even the potato "fries" were unavailable. The atmosphere was disappointing. The only employee who seemed to be working hard looked completely defeated, and it was clear she wasn't getting any support from her coworkers. She even mentioned she'd been asking them to make more salmon with no response. The drink station was dirty, and despite all this, the place wasn't even busy. Really disappointing overall. read more

I ordered a chopped salad from Simply Salad at the Ladera Heights location and received a bowl full of dry, large chopped lettuce with barely any of the listed ingredients. When I called to share that my salad was mostly lettuce with a few ingredients at the bottom of the bowl, I was told, "That's just how we prepare our salads." No apology, no remake, no help. My friend took me to this place. It was small and had a few seats. We had the following: * Chinatown Salad - It has kale, rotelli pasta, grilled chicken, carrots and purple cabbage. My friend said it was yummy. * Downtown Cobb Salad w/ Grilled Chicken -It has grilled chicken, bacon, Romaine, hard boiled eggs, grape tomatoes and cheddar cheese. I had my salad in a wrap. It was very filing and delicious. Overall, the food was good and also healthy as well! The only thing that was an issue was it almost took 30 minutes for our order to be done and we were the only customers at that time inside restaurant. Maybe there was a big order before we came, but we should have been informed how long our wait time would be. Will still give this place another chance. I'm a big simply salad fan. I make a 20-30 minute drive for simply salad. I love the fresh ingredients and the Far East dressing is my fave. I've kinda had the same order locked down for years. Unfortunately this location always seems to forget at least one of my toppings whenever I order online ;( and I usually order an extra topping and pay a little extra for it so it's really disappointing when one gets left out. read more
