Went last night about 8pm. This place was hopping with to go orders. They were running a two person crew and cranking food out quickly, with a smile the whole time. Excellent customer service and the food was exceptional. Probably the best gyro I've had in KC. Tzatziki sauce also was perhaps the best I've ever had. Pita was plentiful and warmed (nice touch) and hummus was spot on. Go check this place out. I would recommend carry out as dining area is a bit small. read more

Ordered 1 Greek Salad, 1 Falafel Sandwich, and 1 side of Rice. First, I've got to say that the rice was fantastic. The Geek Salad with the Chicken Swarma was very good. We would like the tomatoes and cucumbers cut up. The Falafel sandwich was also very good. My only complaint would be that Sriracha is an up charge. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Great find for a fresh casual meal. Our group had a combination of platters and sandwiches- the food was prepared at the time of each order. Chicken shawarma was tender, and seasoned just right. Tried Sinbad's Grill last Wednesday night for dinner. Called and ordered takeout. Arrived 15 minutes later and it was ready and just bagged. Restaurant was super clean inside, and smelling amazing from the food. They had music playing as well. The owner welcomed me when entering and chit chatted with me when ringing up my order. Class act guy, staff, and place. Ordered the gyro combo and the chicken shawarma combo. Food was Delicious and Amazing!! You get huge portions, we couldn't finish everything. This place is legit!! Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! I got the lamb kabob platter and it was served with delicious rice and grilled vegetables, sauce, and fresh salad topped with feta cheese, onions, tomato, and kalamata olives. Yumm! I had Sinbad's a few weeks ago and the food was delicious! The employees were very friendly and quick with our order which was somewhat large. Each member of my party picked a different menu item: I chose the chicken shawarma platter. The platter had enough food for at least two meals. I loved the chicken as it was very juicy and went great with the salad and the other sides. The flatbread was especially soft and tasty. The garlic sauce was good enough to drink alone though very strong so be aware of that. All in all, I love Sinbad's and I will return for sure! read more

Ordered curbside like another reviewer mentioned. They said they no longer offer curbside and none of the employees wore any masks even though their sign says masks required. The food was okay but not worth taking chances during a pandemic. I would imagine If they can't follow state guidelines in regards to covid, their kitchen and food safety must also be out of line. read more

I went to grab some lunch to-go last week after driving along 83rd and happening to see the place. I've been looking for a new chicken shawarma spot since Basha Mediterranean grill was replaced by a restaurant that isn't very good. That meal, the chicken shawarma was incredible and the falafel absolutely blew me away. I went back today and thought I'd try something else, going with the spicy gyro platter. I usually don't write reviews unless a product or service is either really bad or really good, but that spicy gyro meat was way over the top and I had to post one. I gave a piece to a coworker to try and after popping it in his mouth he just started laughing--he couldn't believe it was that damn good. Everyone has different tastes/preferences, but the spicy gyro has to be one of the better food items I've ever eaten in my entire life. No exaggeration. And yes I've traveled and experienced plenty outside of JoCo in my 40 years. As others have said, the hummus is spectacular too. I get the impression you can't pick a bad option here. Again as others have said, the owner is just an awesome guy who genuinely enjoys making his customers happy. He insisted I give him feedback the first visit. I told him then if he sees me again it's a good sign and I couldn't wait a full week to get back in. If I were to stretch to find one critique, I would say it would be cool if they offered a sampler platter, even at a higher price than the regular platters, so you could get a little bit of everything and enjoy it all at one time. However cooking is not my area of expertise so perhaps all of the menu items wouldn't pair well if put on the same plate. Guess I'll just have to keep going back for more. You should too. read more

We decided to try Sinbad's for lunch yesterday. I'd been told about the place by a friend who'd seen it but had not eaten there. We both ordered the Chicken Shawarma, not knowing quite what to expect. (I thought I'd had the dish elsewhere but did not remember what it was like.) We received generous portions of deliciously marinated chicken atop a bed of yellow rice (Saffron?), tazaki sauce, and a small salad of chopped lettuce, tomato, olives and feta cheese. The food was delicious. We'll be back to try some of the other offerings at Sinbad's. The place is small and the menu is limited (no hot tea) but the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I believe we spoke with the owner, a man who expressed a wish to expand beyond the current location. We wish him well and success in his venture. We liked Sinbad's. If Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food is your thing, you owe yourself a visit. read more

Sinbad's grill is a newly opened Mediterranean restaurant located next door to Wok n Roll Express. For such a small storefront, it packed in urban ambience and flavor! There was a relaxing middle eastern music in the background. There are 8 clean tables and a bar that seats four, so I imagine the lions share of business is delivery or pick up. The service was very upbeat and courteous! They actually remembered that I'd stopped in yesterday to pick up a menu. Extra points for attention to customers! I ordered the chicken shawarma platter . Salad with house dressing was excellent. The serve real green leaf lettuce, not cheap iceberg! Extra points for attention to food detail! The chicken shawarma had excellent flavor , but was ever so slightly on the dry side however, They immediately came out and replaced it. Top notch service! Top notch owners and management!!
