Well I wouldn't recommend this place for the dining area. The seating area was cramped. My mother and I both ordered the large Greek salad and a bowl of lentil soup. The price was right: two healthy meals at $17 each, including tax. The yelp reviews were good enough to get us to try this place. The salad was okay but the bed of lettuce was nearly all white stems. The soup was bland. My advices is to not sit near the door on a cold or windy day. We got blasted by ice cold air every time someone walked in or out. The plastic spoons were maybe large enough to stir a cup of coffee, but not nearly large enough to use for our soup. On a good note, the naan bread was quite good and warm, and the guy in the kitchen was friendly. I don't think we will return.

If you love fresh Mediterranean food you must check this little place out! First off the service is so friendly, the staff came out twice to check how we were enjoying our food and how we were doing! So sweet! It's a small place but looks locally owned with a lot of pride and care in their business and food. And the food is so fresh and amazing! I especially reccomemd the barbeque shawarma, it's not Kansas City style BBQ sauce barbeque, it's more of a delicious charred shawarma chicken and is so crispy light and healthy feeling. Hummus and grape leaves excellent too. So don't miss out on this cool locally owned hole in the wall of greatness! Next time I want to try the Mazzah sampler!

I loved this place. We ordered a variety of dishes, including mazzah platter, gyro platter, hummus and fried cauliflower. We all loved the dishes, but the person who ordered the mazzah platter didn't care for the falafel or Greek salad. We all enjoyed the hummus! I loved the sauce that came with the fried cauliflower. The baklava was a tad fluffier and less sticky than other versions we have had. The people at the store were very friendly! I liked the cozy atmosphere and seating. Looked like soft drinks were available. Thanks to Sinbad's for a lovely meal!

Great spot. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I would've liked slightly more food but I eat a lot and they did pack the container. They also gave me an extra falafel which is nice. Server was nice. I would highly recommend this place if people like Mediterranean. The inside is a little dark but not a nightmare deal

Stopped in for an early dinner with my husband and we were both pleased with the attentive service and nice staff and the very fresh food. My husband had a gyro and a side salad and I had chicken shawarma. Their salad is very fresh with lots of vegetables. My husband said he really liked the gyro also and my chicken shawarma was flavorful and fresh. I think the thing that stands out most to me about this restaurant is the food is freshly made and quality ingredients. It was very clean also and had reasonable level of sound from the music playing. We were offered a taste of their hummus and it was delicious also. They have many gluten free choices also.

Fresh tender meat, staff was helpful and friendly. Plenty of seating. Our meals were plated very well and my kids enjoyed their cookies made from scratch.

I tried Sinbads for the first time today. I was in the area and happened upon it, and I'm so glad I stopped by. Everything about the the visit went above my expectations, starting with the service. Both team members were friendly and made recommendations to help us (myself and my boyfriend) decide. We debated getting a side of falafels and baba ghanouj, but decided against it. We settled on a chicken shawarma platter and a schwarmania sandwich. We watched everything made fresh for us, including a couple of falafels and a small side of baba ganouj, which were given to us for no charge for our first visit. Unfortunately we didn't take picture of our food, as it was so good, we devoured it. I'm incredibly pleased with our visit overall and will absolutely return and recommend! read more

I am questioning all these great reviews now. The food was overly seasoned with something funky tasting and the hummus tasted like tahini straight from the jar. It was thick like peanut butter, too. It also had some funky spices on it. I was headed to Mr. Gyros and opted to try this place instead. From now on, I'm sticking with Mr. Gyros. Not only for the quality of the food but the cleanliness of the restaurant. read more

Great little middle eastern restaurant. I had lamb kabob. My girlfriend had the mazzah platter. Everything was uniquely flavorful even the salad. These guys took a chance and moved in 500 ft from Mr Gryos and, in my opinion, beat them. So if you're looking for an alternative this is your place. P.S. the staff is enthusiasticly friendly and take an interest in making you're satisfied. Something you don't find everywhere. Cool decor too! read more

The new Sinbad's Grill is amazing! Clean on the inside and very great service. The food is fresh, right off the grill, and 10+ on taste! If you haven't tried Mediterranean food, you'll definitely be hooked once you try this place. I had the spicy gyro sandwich and my friends had the platter, and both were amazing. Kansas has been needing great Mediterranean food like this for a long time. read more

We stopped by instead of hitting our favorite taco Tuesday joint and were not disappointed. What a nice little place! Bright and fun inside with interesting art and sayings on the walls. I had the spicy gyro and fries plate and my husband had the chicken shawarma. Both were fresh and delicious. I especially liked the fact that my sandwich was nice and hot -- just the way I like it! The guy behind the counter told me this would become my new "Tuesday" place. He just may be right! read more

This is bar far and away the best Mediterranean/Turkish food I have had in the Midwest. The flavors are legitimate and what you would expect to find in a restaurant in Southeastern Europe. We will absolutely be back for more. The spicy gyro and chicken shawarma were phenomenal. read more

This was the best middle eastern food I've had in a long time! My coworkers and I tried the Chicken Shawarma and Lamb Kabob plate with tzatziki. It smelled and tasted amazing. Great food, very friendly staff! We ordered takeout and didn't wait too long for everything to be prepared. The chicken shawarma and lamb kabob were excellent! But the hummus was fantastic, some of the best and smoothest I've ever had. Only possible complaint: fries have a seasoning similar to Arby's fries. Which isn't a bad thing at all, but would prefer more hand seasoned fries. If that makes sense. Should change name from Sinbad's to Singood! read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! Hands down THE BEST middle eastern food around the area!!! 40 minutes away from where I live and I would drive down here again!! Super friendly people! Great customer service! Definition of arab hospitality! Makes you feel welcome and satisfied! Very clean little shop amazing food (this is coming from an arab cultured taste) I can easily say they have the best falafel I've ever had near here, hummus is delicious, what you would find in the Middle East with recipes that only great great grandmas who did the best cooking have! The hummus was delicious and extremely smooth. The spicy gyro meat has a mild heat that builds as you eat but isn't overwhelming. My toddler loved the rice and French fries. We received great customer service and I really enjoyed the decor. We will definitely be dining here again. read more

My husband found this place several months ago while working and made it a regular lunch stop going forward. I work in Washington DC and frequent Mediterranean Restaurants, they are by far my favorite cuisine and I had yet to find any that can compare here in KC. He took me to Sinbad's Grill and I am now a regular as well. The owner and staff are always so friendly and service is great. The food is fresh and amazing. Worth a stop anytime! read more

The two sides were also very good except the pita bread that came with the baba ghanoush could have been fresher. The service was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, cheerful and professional, with a sincere interest in customer feedback - excellent! I found the dining area to be clean, spacious and nice with a mix of booths and tables, pleasant Greek background music, three TVs and a dessert display case. Went 2 hours before closing thinking that would be enough time for the kids to play. Boy was I wrong. Nobody was at the counter to buy the passes for about 20 minutes. They were probably trying to pay their child support bill. Then when we FINALLY got in. There were 3 people "working" there. The one named Juan was actually working. The other two space cadets were doing anything but. Half the time they were talking to their girlfriends (I think those were girls???) And the other time they were staying off into space with a blank look on their faces (probably trying to figure out how to spell CAT) Next time I'll find a better way to spend my money like Microwave it until it's illegible. Or bring my kids somewhere more family friendly like Hooters. This place is an overpriced joke. Future disappointed customers BEWARE! read more

Finally a good Mediterranean place in my neighborhood! In the month they've been open, we've eaten here four times. The menu is basic -- gyros, falafel, baba ganoush, shawarma, and kabobs -- but what they do, they do well. (They also have fries, which is odd.) The falafel has a nice zing to it. The baba ganoush is creamy -- some of the best I've ever had, and the lentil soup is pretty close. Prices are $12-ish for a platter, which is pretty typical for most Mediterranean places I've been to. The dining area is small and utilitarian. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The Mazza Platter is vegetarian; vegan if you tell them to hold the feta on the salad. read more

I've tried Shwarma places all around Turkey and Europe and this tops them all. The vegetables are sautéed instead of raw which lends a different flavor but in a great way. It's like the flavor of the Middle East meets the culinary refinement of a bistro. read more
