    Gluten Free Flourless Chocolate Cake
    Gwen D.

In my vegan era so checked this spot out! Located inside of 401k wine bar. We found parking around the corner. The staff was friendly. We picked the vegan coconut passion fruit cheesecake and the flourless chocolate cake topped with mixed berries. The berries were plump and fresh. The coconut cheesecake tasted like the siggis coconut yogurt. The crust was made from dates as the binder and some type of nut for the crispy part. I thought walnut but my partner thought it was biscoff. I'd order the passion fruit cheesecake again. My partner enjoyed his flourless chocolate cake. He said it was rich and decadent. We both had half of our treats. The ones we picked out were $14 each. The cookies and brownies were under $4.

Tiramisu, lemon bar, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, s'mores cheesecake with a toasted marshmallow, tres leches cake. All gluten free!

The BEST spot for gluten-free desserts and baked goods maybe anywhere! My wife has Celiac so we're always looking for good treats she can eat and this place is one of her favorites. The MUST GET items are definitely the Tres Leches Cake, any Cheesecake, the Lemon Bars, and the Cheddar, Bacon, and Chive Scones. We've tried many different things here but those are the ones we always come back to. Everyone working here is so nice and helpful, especially with recommendations, and the shop itself is super cute. And if you want more savory food or you're hungry for a meal, their restaurant and wine bar next door, 401K, is definitely worth a visit.

Service is top notch, very friendly but who wouldn't be surrounded by all the delicious treats. Such a cool looking dessert shop with soooo many choices. Everything we ordered was delicious from the tres leches cake, red velvet cupcakes, pecan bourbon bar. I was tempted to get the tiramisu as it looked delicious but it was a huge portion.

This place is pretty great, they have all your usual cakes and pastries, plus vegan versions. We had a bit of everything, it can get a bit pricey, but it was worth it. We also got the vegan chocolate truffle cake for my birthday and it is by far one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. I'll be coming back for more! The service was good, the guy who helped us was very friendly and patient with all our questions and inability to choose.

It's closed. The hours said it was open to 9pm, but the gate is locked and there are refrigerators in the lobby.

Cute little pastry shop off of a bustling street in Venice. Lots of dainty treats - that look incredible, made with love?! I'd say so. We got their famous tres leche & lemon bar with two chai lattes with tip about $40... Chai lattes were good, tres leche- perfectly balanced with texture and sweetness, lemon bar was solid but small for the price. Service was thorough.

Are you a sinner (gluten lovers) or a saint (gluten free)? It's always exciting to find gluten free dessert options and this place is heaven for gf. They have cupcakes, minis, decadent desserts and cookies. I have tried cupcakes, vanilla crème brûlée, tres leche, banana cream tart, lemon tart. Everything has been delicious. I am not a vegan fan and one time, I got a vegan cake to try and I didn't like it. The owner gave me some additional gf cupcakes instead which was a super sweet thing to do. My boyfriend is a sinner and he told me that all his picks were delicious. Highly recommend!

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the mini tarts I got, they were too yummy! This bakery has too many delicious items to choose from. The service was fast and kind. I want to come back and try everything!

Saints & Sinners is my Willy Wonka Factory equivalent!!! I have the biggest sweet tooth unfortunately coupled with a dairy allergy so I'm always quite restricted with dessert places because of this, but ya'll Saints & Sinners answered my prayers!! They've got DF and GF options in addition to regular options and their desserts/pastries are unreal. It's a cute little storefront right off of Lincoln in Venice and I've found easy nearby street parking both times I've been. They have a small outdoor seating area if you want to hang, but I've gotten treats to go both times I've been. The staff are 10/10 gems and so welcoming and friendly and I loved the sassy Valentine's Day cookies they made this year. Take all my $$

My all time favorite dessert stop. These ladies are always baking up a storm of delicious deserts! "Sinners" for those who don't mind the dairy and gluten and Saints for those being mindful for a vegan or gluten free diet. The crack balls & mini vegan cinnamon cupcakes are my repeats! Obsessed with their chocolate chip cookies as well. Enjoy :)

I got the vegan mini cupcakes for a friend's birthday. He loved them and said they were delicious! The flavors were chocolate and cinnamon. The service was very friendly and helpful. It's a cute shop with a beautiful display case. It is street parking only and I was able to easily find parking on a side street right off Lincoln.

I hadn't been to my favorite dessert Emporium/super patisserie and had their saintly gluten-free amazing desserts for a while. So on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I drove down Venice Boulevard past my high school alma mater, Venice High arriving at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard where the road ends if you're hunting for the best Gluten-free and regular assorted desserts at Sinners and Saints. The Sinners, of course, are the wheateaters. I dawdled while inside talking to a few customers, one being her first time and with the two wait staff. I might be gluten intolerant but I'm not glutton intolerant and if I could order one of everything I would. I choose my favorite, the best GF Tres Leches Cake that is heavenly; a fantastic GF Tiramisu that melts in your mouth; a small lemon tart and a bacon, cheese and chive scone. I took these home and I'm doling them out slowly so I can eat saintly for as long as possible. I left with an excellent salted caramel latte. (I posted the pics separately). Whether you are a Sinner or a Saint, you are a winner here and at their adjoining GF restaurant 401K where after about 20 years post Celiac diagnosis, I could share every dish with my family or guests, a pleasure that I had been denied prior to Elisa opening up this restaurant. Grazie Mille.

Ask the Community - Sinners & Saints Desserts

Is there cross-contamination between the gluten-free goods and the gluten full goods? are they baked separately?

They are not a dedicated gluten-free bakery. There may be some cross contamination. They have this disclaimer on their website. As far as our experience goes, we have not had an issue as my wife's gluten allergy is not too bad.

    Do you have apple pay?

    Yes!!

    Is everything vegan?

No, not at all, but they do have a large selection of gluten-free goods.

Will you be open on New Year's Eve? If so, will the hours be modified? Thank you & happy holidays!

Hi. Yes we will be open 12/31 10 am until 6 pm. Happy holidays

Will you have holiday cookies including ginger bread men?

Yes! They have the cutest and most delicious decorated gingerbread men! Both gluten free and regular - as well as small "gingies" and other holiday cookies as well!

Hi there, I'm wondering if you guys have dairy free birthday cake?

    Yes we do

Are you guys open with everything going on? You accepted an order for delivery today and I just received a cancellation. Last min- can I speak with someone?

Hello. I am so sorry about that. Yes we are/have been open. 💕

Hi! Wanted to followup to see what type of sweeteners are being used? Thank you!

I do not know. None of us took issue with sugar. We were only interested in gluten free and dairy free.

Any cake and tart that are egg-free and nut free (request special order)? Thanks.

Yes so many vegan free options

Do your gf/vegan goods contain soy?

We don't use soy in our Saints vegan desserts, except for soy lecithin, which is in chocolate.

Are the gluten free items made with any sort of nuts?

Some are, but we have a wide selection of items that do not contain nuts.

Would you consider making some of your gluten free items also sugar free? For example using xylitol or stevia instead of glycemic spiking agave and sugar? Thank you so much!!!?

Hi Marie. I am sorry. As of right now we only use either agave, dates, maple syrup or coconut palm sugar as sweeteners, but I have been experimenting with erythritol a bit.... so stay tuned.

Loved being able to see the production room, and instantly knew with the amount of locals casually hanging around on a beautiful weekend day that this was a great find! Some tables outside, couches and chairs inside, cozy. Everything looked delicious! I ended up with a savory focaccia and a sourdough loaf with inclusion of garlic. Pleasantly surprised. There's no better bread than a sourdough from a starter. And the colors are beautiful! Once home I sliced up the sourdough loaf and was surprised to find garlic cloves, but the flavors worked. Paired the loaf with some apricot jam in the morning, quite delightful. I sliced up the focaccia and grilled up a tuna melt with a fresh tomato and it was oh so delicious. Looks like some online ordering may be available. Menu is online. A very eclectic variety of customers, but I can see why they all flock here. Good food, good people. Everyone seemed to recommend this place, so I figured it had to be worth the hype. Plot twist: I didn't realize it was vegetarian until I was already looking at the menu. Normally I'd be a little skeptical, but WOW... I never once found myself wishing there was meat on my plate. I ordered the Spicy Italian pizza, the oyster mushroom "calamari," and a glass of wine, and every single bite was delicious. That pizza though... It was hands-down the star of the meal. Crispy crust, packed with flavor, and honestly one of those pizzas I'd happily drive back to Venice just to eat again. The oyster mushroom "calamari" was also surprisingly convincing. Crispy, flavorful, and a really fun twist on a classic appetizer. And here's the real review: I took the leftover pizza home for my parents, and we all know leftover pizza can be hit or miss. Somehow this one was STILL amazing straight from the fridge. That alone deserves bonus points. If you're shopping on Abbott Kinney and need a break (or if you're just looking for a really great meal), don't let the vegetarian menu fool you. Even this meat lover left completely satisfied. I'll absolutely be back... mostly because I'm already thinking about that pizza.
