Not many Starbucks in the Rhode Island and Connecticut areas. Lotsa Dunkin Donuts. Then, we saw these little hole in the wall shops called, Sip 'n Dip. My curiosity got the best of me. I had to try this mom and pop lookin' place. We tried the one on the bay, on the way to Colt State Park. Nice warm New England welcome from the young lady who was perspiring in the heat. We ordered a hot coffee and and iced coffee. She recommended the cinnamon twist. We honored her recommendation. It was nice and doughy crispy. Not a fancy place, but good ole service.

Sip-N-Dip while you bike A little donut, coffee and ice cream place right on the east bay bike path in Bristol. A nice place to replace those calories you just burned off on the bike ride. The donut section is a lot like a pseudo Dunkin Donuts but I think the coffee is actually better than most D&D's. Plenty of donut and pastry things to choose from to quickly get your RDA of daily empty calories. The other side of the store has I scream, 24 flavors in fact. Nothing too exotic but some fairly interesting ones like blueberry, tutti fruity and maple walnut. Of course they have a list of toppings your can add. The store has a few tables inside and a drive through so you don't even have to spend the energy and calories to get out of your car. Sip-N-Dip does get very crowded in the summer and pretty chaotic. The employees do a good job but on occasion service slows down to a crawl. I was in there the other day and a woman in front of us was actually counting out a whole pocket full of pennies to pay. Fortunately no one was behind her. But all it takes is one knucklehead like her and a place like this slows to a stop.

There's plenty of parking and usually a long line, but don't despair, it moves quickly. The menu is massive with so many different types of cold treats, not just ice cream. You really can't go wrong. My absolute favorite combo though was the coffee and Vermont maple soft serve swirled together and topped with walnuts. First time having soft serve that wasn't just your basic vanilla and chocolate--it's a must!

Service was good -- friendly staff and it didn't take long at all to receive our order. I got the Vermont Maple Soft Serve (small) and my son got Oreo on a Chocolate Sprinkle Cone (small). My daughter wanted the Mango Sorbet but they didn't have enough for a small cup. The girl that helped us offered the rest of the Mango combined with the Lemon Sorbet, which we happily took. My daughter was very happy with that accommodation, she was looking forward to the mango! There was plenty of outdoor seating under the tent just off to the side of the building as well as plenty of parking. Just watch for signage -- some parking spots are for the neighboring businesses. This establishment has been here for years and it's definitely a place we will come back to!

I have only been to their main location in North Smithfield so this was a new experience for me. They have a very metallic mobile home on wheels stationed right by the water with picnic tables around. There is a parking lot but it is shared with a couple businesses around so it can get tight. However, street parking is abundant. Both of us were eyeing the doughble trouble but didn't want to get the same thing, so I ordered the milk and cookies. I assumed milk and cookies would be synonymous with cookies and cream, and though it was similar to a classic cookies and cream, I felt it was slightly creamier and had lots of oreo pieces mixed in. I didn't get to taste much of the doughble trouble but from what I did taste, it did have more chocolate than I thought. The staff was friendly and the views were incredible, especially during sunset - I imagine. There are lots of great restaurants (most offering seafood) on the strip to accompany a sweet treat.

The shop in Warren is cute, some decent parking options and a patio meant for hanging out and eating ice cream while watching the traffic pass by. It sits right on the bike path, so you can take a leisurely walk after enjoying your sweet treat if you desire. The woman at the window was super friendly. She filled me in on some additional info about the shop. The flavors rotate based on seasonal cereals and crowd favorites. I asked for her favorite of the flavors on the board today and she suggested Golden Grahams, which happened to be one of my favorites from childhood. Before long, she presented me with my cup. It was so cute! Topped with more of the cereal crushed and a mini rice krispie treat, it was picture perfect. I was excited about digging in. The ice cream is super smooth and tastes exactly like the cereal. You may think this is going to taste like milk lightly flavored by cereal, but it actually tastes like you're eating the cereal in ice cream form. It was delightful, and the added crushed cereal broke up the smoothness with it's crunchy bits. They also feature a secret flavor of the day, and you can guess for yourself, or they will tell you if you don't feel like playing along. Even if you don't get that as your scoop, they are happy to give you a sample so you can give it your best shot! This spot was adorable and tasty. I'm glad I'm in Bristol regularly so I can take advantage of being close by for more!

Cereal Milk Ice Cream topped with your favorite cereal on top?! Yes please!…read more I've been to the Providence location years ago and really enjoyed it from what I remember. Found out about the Warren location when my sister moved to the area and added it to my list of places to go to next time we were in town! On this visit, we decided to take the kids on a bike ride to Tizzy K's while my sister and I ran with them on the bike path. Upon arrival, they had perfect signage leading from the bike path to establishment. Great advertisement especially after we had ran 2.5 miles one way, we were more than ready for a treat! The ladies scooping ice cream that day were very friendly and helpful! My kids and + I shared 2 scoops of the Fruity Pebbles and 2 scoops of the Cocoa Pebbles w/ Thin Mints (this one I wasn't sure of, but it totally worked!) Two scoops was more than enough! We got 2 ice creams so it was ALOT for the 3 of us to share. But no complaints, we polished it off and left with happy bellies! It wasn't busy when we first got there so there was plenty of outdoor sitting and what looked some indoor seating as well. Loved the outdoor set up and vibe. We will totally be back again!
