Some of the best quality out there. The cordon bleu is the best with their teriyaki tri-tip a close second. Highly recommended!

I didn't mind waiting, but it felt like he was intentionally taking his time. When it was finally my turn, he asked me to meet him on the other side of the store, handed me my bag, and said I looked mad and could have the sandwiches for free. I told him I was happy to pay, and he responded by telling me to "fuck off." I was shocked and asked if he had really just said that, and he doubled down and told me to get going. I've been a regular customer for years, but after being treated like that by the owner, I won't be back. Ryan came across as someone who grew up with a silver spoon in Newport Beach and thinks he can talk to customers however he wants. Unfortunately, they just lost two loyal customers.

The lot was full, and the line stretched past the front patio and onto the sidewalk. We ended up parking a couple of blocks away and walking over. Despite the long line, it moved at a reasonable pace. One thing that helped was being able to grab drinks from the bar while we waited. They have a great selection of beers and seltzers, and it looked like a lot of people were picking up to-go orders as well. For our meal, we ordered the 4-6 person platter, which included beef cheek, tri-tip, ribs, sausage, chicken, pulled pork, six sides, cornbread, rolls, and pickles. We also added the 5-cheese mac and cheese. Everything was flavorful and there was more than enough food for our group. The sides were excellent. We tried the pit beans, pee wee potato salad, carne con chile, farro salad, and wild rice salad. My favorite was the warm potato salad with mustard, brown butter, capers, and dill...it was unique and absolutely delicious. The restaurant offers lots of seating with outdoor dining areas both in the front and back. They also have a private room with windows overlooking the main dining room. During our visit, it was hosting a private party of about 20 people. The kids loved their root beer floats, and by the end of the meal we were way too full to even consider dessert. That's definitely something we'll have to come back and try next time. Overall, the food was worth the wait, the atmosphere was lively, the world cup was playing on the tvs and even on one of the busiest days of the year the staff kept things moving smoothly. We'll definitely be back.

Almost everything was on point. The ribs were perfectly moist but could have used a little more smoke and bark (which is a personal preference). Regardless, they were delicious. The brisket was surprisingly good with the proper amount of bark and great texture. The sausage is the one thing that left something to be desired. The flavor on the sausage was great but it didn't seem like it ever got any smoke. A little time in the smoker would have made a huge difference. A little disappointing but it still has good flavor. Lastly, the mac & cheese was creamy and had a nice al dente bite to it. Heritage is the best BBQ in OC but these guys have it down. For an everyday BBQ fix this is my go-to from now on. Highly recommend.

Out of all them... the sausage was hands down the best item. Brisket was blah, ribs so so. Chicken decent. But the sausage stole the flavor pallet. It was super flavorful, perfectly fermented, and honestly one of those things you keep thinking about long after you leave. The meat was excellent too. You can definitely tell they use high-quality cuts, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I also ordered the peach soda cocktail, and let me just say... it's dangerously good! You can barely taste the alcohol, so drink it with caution because it'll sneak up on you. We also had the sake, and I loved that they kept it warm by placing the bottle in hot water. Such a nice touch! Just a heads up, this isn't an all you can eat BBQ spot. Everything is à la carte, which I personally didn't mind at all because the quality of the food made it worth it. The service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, the food came out quickly, and they were always on top of taking our orders. Even though this place stays busy, everything runs so efficiently that you're in and out without feeling rushed. The wait to be seated wasn't bad at all. I also loved the ambiance. It has that old-school Japan feel that makes the whole dining experience even better. The restaurant felt warm, welcoming, and just overall a really enjoyable place to eat. Thank you, Anjin, for such a great experience! You definitely gained a regular customer. I'll be back very soon!

This store is similar to the SB store as how clean it is and how much variety of proteins that you can try. They crazy item I found was a bag of frozen chicken hearts. HA! I like how they have a variety of beef, steaks, chicken, turkey, seafood, pork, and ground meat. Make me want to learn to cook more foods! They also carry exotic meats such as wild boar, kangaroo, yak, bison, duck, alligator, ostrich, quail, and one thing I found most interesting was rabbit and pork sausage mixture. One day I will try these exotic flavors. Moving on to dessert, I got their cheesecake, mini beigneits with mixed berries, and lava cakes. All quite good and easy to prepare for a quick party or small gathering.

I went on a Friday night and it was VERY lively! There was a band playing by the bar and it was packed! People were drinking, dancing, hanging out. All of this is happening in a supermarket! Lots of food vendors to check out and all of it looked delicious! I don't remember the names of the places my friend and I ordered food from, but I had a chile relleno burrita, seafood cocktail, and pozole. I've never really had chile relleno, so I decided to just go for it and try something different even though there were other options that were more my preference. It was alright. Good thing it was only $5. The seafood cocktail was delicious! They did not skimp on the seafood and everything in it tasted so fresh. Pozole wasn't terrible, but just like my burrita, it was a bit on the bland side. Maybe my palate skews too heavily towards salty, but I felt like a little salt here and there would've really improved the flavors in everything we ordered. Overall the quality/freshness was there! Regarding the market part, nothing special. Maybe a little more selection than your typical Northgate, especially in the liquor department. Their wall of tequila was impressive. I will definitely be back again to try the other foods! In fact, I may just come all the way out here to do grocery shopping from time to time. I saw a guy doing some shopping with a cocktail in his cart and I want to live that life. Bro definitely had the right idea.

During my recent visit, Wendy at cashier station 5 on 6.13.2026 at around 7:30pm provided extremely disrespectful service and openly stated that she did not care enough to learn the pricing codes while scanning items. Fortunately, the employee assisting with bagging demonstrated far more professionalism and took the initiative to correct the mistakes caused by Wendy's lack of attention and concern. I hope management addresses this issue, as customers deserve courteous service and confidence that they are being charged accurately.
