I would give this place no stars or a negative star! It's filthy. The lazy river was so gross. It was a waste of money for my family out of town. I unfortunately have a season pass. I probably won't be back. The smell of urine and filth made me sick. I was afraid to swim. It was gross. It freaks me out seeing blood all over the changing rooms and hair all of the floors while there are workers just laughed it off. DISGUSTING! Needless to say we didn't renew our season pass. We went to 4 water parks over 8 days and this was by far the best of the bunch. It's worth getting there early to ensure you can experience the events you most want to go on. Clean, fun, great way to spend a hot day. I had a blast at Hurricane Harbour this Labor Day weekend. This was my first time to visit. It was not as crowded as I thought it would be. This was a big plus. The lines were not that long, although they got longer after 3pm. We got there right after opening and we were able to go on a lot of rides. The rides were a lot of fun. There were plenty of rides for my child to enjoy, especially the lagoon area. The wave pool is pretty timid, but that's great for smaller kids and pretty fun. The lazy river was great, but they don't provide inner tubes like some parks do. But that didn't ruin it. It was still fun. The thrill rides like the Tornado and Tsunami were awesome. Really I enjoyed every ride I went on. Don't leave without giving the Surf Rider a try! The parking price was steep ... $20 and 30 for preferred? Be prepared to fork it over or just have someone drop you off. The food and drinks are $$ but not unexpected. We paid $40 for a pizza deal to feed 4. So that was not a bad deal. I had no problem finding a locker either. No, you cannot bring food and water in. There were people getting very bent out of shape over it at the entrance. There were signs warning you about this. Don't let this ruin your experience. I did not find the bathrooms to be filthy. No problems there. We had a lot of fun this weekend and would definitely return. read more

Can be a busy place in the summer so recommend going early and leaving early. Very clean as they have staff walking around and picking up any trash there may be. Towards the end of summer the water doesn't seem as cold, which is to be expected. Meals I would recommend are the chicken fingers or the bbq brisket nachos or sandwiches. Good value and highly recommend getting a meal pass added to your season pass as it does pay for itself quickly. One thing is he sure to wear your shoes when waiting in line for good as the concrete gets extremely hot, which is also expected in Texas. Who hasn't been to Hurricane Harbor? I don't know of anyone. Well, anyway, I went this past Saturday, and granted the temperature was in the high 90's, the park was so packed it made it almost unbearable. The price to get in is reasonable, but they have went overboard with their prices on food and drinks. $13.99 for a plastic cup with refills the day of your visit are free, the next, time, refills are 99 cents. The food is ridiculously expensive, $10.99 for chicken strips and french fries......and I've had much better. They had to close the lazy river at one point, due to an "accident", which I can only imagine, and they closed the wave pool about every 20 minutes, I am not sure why. Overall, the kids love it, but I've been to much better water parks that don't try to gouge you with their prices. read more

My family and I have visited here for over 25 years and this was the first time that our family didnt enjoy our trip, the long lines to get in the wave pool only to make it in the wave pool for 2 minutes then we were asked to get out of the water and go outside the gate again to wait so that they could check the pool then we had to wait all over again to get in, the worst part about our trip to hurricane Harbor was trying to get our food that we had prepaid for waiting in the line for an hour while watching the employees throw food back and forth, french fries flying and chicken tossed across was disgusting to see and so many rides not up to par was offensive because of the price we paid to get in to the park, hopefully next year if we come everything will be up and going, thank you Henry and Tracie Walker read more

I love sixflags, so I decided I needed to try out Hurricane Harbor. This was a pretty great experience. The lines were long, but that was my only issue. I understand that there is not much that can be done about that, but it is annoying having to wait an hour for a slide that only lasts few moments. It is good for family fun. Fist time going today and my experience wasn't so pleasant . The lines are ridiculously long!!! 45 minute wait for 10 second rides. Went to the wave pool and OMG . Didn't feel any waves, kids horse playing and landing on top of me, and if you see someone on a floaty , MOVE because they will run you over. One of the rides we got on we got into a 2 person floaty . Let's just say it wasn't too pleasant and actually sort of painful . When we got off, one of the employees goes "it wasn't inflated properly. It was no good" really now? -.- That explains why it was a bumpy ride. The restroom is gross. Food/drinks are expensive. Some employees we're rude and just looked like they were over their job... And ladies, it's suppose to be a family park ! Save the "thong bikinis" for the strip clubs. Goodness! Will I be back? Parking gets packed and the lines to all the rides are always so long. The lazy river seems to have a ton of chlorine and burns the eyes if you open your eyes under water. The place is so dirty I couldn't imagine walking around this place without flip flops on. They have trash cans placed all around the water park that are just filthy and the one specifically by the lazy river stinks like throw up, I've been here multiple times and it smells like this all the time its just gross. read more

So I was in Arlington specifically for the six flags hurricane harbor park. We got here around 3pm and most of the lockers were sold out but luckily a very kind gentleman let us have his locker when he was leaving which was very nice. We were there for 5 hours and we only went on 5 rides because the lines are just ridiculous. I actually only got on 4 because there was a ride that just looked terrifying that I absolutely punked out on. I wish I took pictures of the various rides but being dumped in water with phones isn't a very good thing. My favorite was the one with the blue mat. I loved it. Before we left we did it like 3 more times. It was a fun afternoon. Would definitely try again. read more

I would highly suggest season passes. My husband and I went with our family and it was a fun outing. The lines were not "horrible" we were able to ride 5 of the rides. Though honestly I think a flash pass is the way to go. We arrived when the park opened, though we went on a Saturday which we knew would be packed. The trip was fun. Take lots of sun screen as Texas summers are brutal. We also had some of the food, the dip'n dots were great! Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly. We had a blast at Hurricane Harbor! There is so much to do and something for everyone. We have kids so it's hard to make everyone happy but there are kid 'thrill' rides, kids water park, and laid back rides. We were lucky and went on a day when they weren't too busy which was really nice. Lines were short and moved quickly. Concessions are pricy, but that's too be expected. There are lots of concession stands selling all kinds of different things. The park is so big that it's definitely an all day thing. We were there 5 hours and didn't ride everything, and that was with short lines. One negative is that the concrete ground gets really hot in the summer. Our feet were pretty burned. Wish they would put down rubber or water down the walking areas. We had a lot of fun though and will go again. read more

This is not what I expected from a national chain amusement park operator. The park needs to be renovated and at best cleaned. There is a horrible stench, especially apparent this visit and it is most noticeable when in proximity to the wave pool. There are many slides and a variety, including double riders, up to four riders, individual tube and even body slide, as well as a variety of designs. Many of the water slides require you to carry heavy rafts up many flights of stairs. That made me exhausted but may be usual for a water park. I heard other patrons, even men, complaining about it. The customer service isn't great. Don't think you're going to a Disney park or you'll be disappointed for sure. This visit I saw a teenage/young adult girl have what appeared to be a panic attack as she was exiting the pool at the bottom of a waterslide. The mother was with her and the lifeguards stopped anyone else from going down the slide but once she was out of the pool they turned back to the ride and went back to business as usual. I expected someone to follow up with the mother and child now standing near the ride still recouping but no one acknowledged them. I went to the mother and asked of she needed a manager, a chair or water. She said her husband was coming and they didn't need a chair. I would have liked to see someone from the park check on them at the least. We bought season passes this summer. We're new to the area and for the price of 3 visits we could buy passes. We have now been 3 times; of course we wanted to get our monies worth. We don't intend to buy passes again and now we understand why our friends in the area were not interested in buying passes for their families (some have previously and don't intend to again). The price is reasonable and similar to what you pay for smaller chains in the DFW area. Our Sept visit was the least busy we found the park and I would recommend going in Sept, before the park closes, if you plan to visit. I would be disappointed if I traveled to visit this water park. Six flags over Texas is worth a visit though. Pack a lunch if you go to either. The food is more expensive than it would be outside of the park, as you'd expect, but it's not as good as most fast food restaurants. We usually take our refillable cups for drinks, and free waters, and sometimes we pay the 1.00 to refill our popcorn bucket. The popcorn isn't popped very often, so it's somewhat stale but it's worth a buck. I've had the chicken tenders, various sandwiches and the turkey leg and none of those were worth paying for. read more

I never leave reviews really, but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a waterpark. For both me and my boyfriend to go, I paid $80 online for tickets and he paid $35 (literally more than a single ticket not including the extra fees they add in) for parking and it was $18 for a locker. They had no cheaper locker options, which was ridiculous for the small amount of stuff we had. Only about two rides were open, the wave pool and both of the kid themed pools were open, but everything else was closed including the lazy river. They didn't say anything about attractions being closed online or even at the park itself, giving no warning you aren't getting what you paid for. We waited one hour for a ride, where a girl passed out in line next to us because of the heat. The lack of shade and the hot ground was torture; half of the ground is painted to keep it cool, while the rest burns the skin off your feet when the weather is 100 ° + outside. Knowing that it's a waterpark where most people would walk around barefoot, it was horrible how hot the ground was that even an hour later, my feet are still sore. If the heat isn't enough to make you suffer, water bottles were 2 for $7, as if they hadn't made us spend $130+ on TWO PEOPLE already. We went from opening at noon and left at 2:30 because of how painful it was to walk around and there was nothing to do. Staff looked miserable and was severely understaffed. It was so crowded that the lines were horrible, the pools were full, and to be able to sit by the pools, you have to rent disgusting chairs that weren't getting used anyways, probably due to the pricing. This was such a horrible experience, I would not recommend this to anybody! read more

The waterpark is either too small or not enough employees for the amount of service. We were there for 3 hours and because the waits were so long only got to ride 2 rides. eh, not great. I've been to several water parks. the lockers are expensive 13-17$ parking is $15 and a line to park. very crowded, very little tubes available, unless you rent them for 9-10$. Every water park I've been to has had hundreds of tubes at each slide, you grab the tube from the bottom and walk up the stairs and wait in line on the stairs. Not so here. You will wait in line on the ground to get 1 of the 15 tubes at each slide, then you take your tube to the stairs and wait some more. This was my first time here, and I was very disappointed in the experience, I would never go back again, and I would highly recommend anyone thinking of coming here to go elsewhere. It was not a great waterpark experience. Oh and the lazy river has no tubes unless you rent one for $$$. so you just walk in the river with the current...unless you get some life vests and float on those, like we did read more

I've had nothing but great experiences here. The staff is friendly and super spontaneous. I love the monthly season pass, it is extremely cost efficient especially if you have the Gold Membership. The food is delicious, the nachos specifically, only wish the lockers were more cost efficient, a small locker starts off at about $14 (Hurricane Harbor) and the risk of living things unattended at a table is very scary. Six Flags lockers are affordable. The park offers great rides and the lines are 30 minutes typically wait time and move pretty fast depending on the day. I like how the wave pool is closed periodically for cleaning and maintenance. This is a great place for family, friends, or to take love ones. read more

All these people bitching about this is expensive that is expensive get out of here. What did you expect Wal Mart prices in exchange for 5 star gourmet restaurant food? This is a THEME PARK people. I agree, I wouldn't want to pay 44.99 for a family meal, but be smart about it. Here are some suggestions. 1. Bring a large cooler packed with ice, food and drinks. Go out to your car to eat and drink. 2. Walk your rear end to Quik Trip if your to cheap. $2 for 2 hot dogs can feed a family cheap. Their fountain drinks are cheap. 3. Give up you parking spot and go drive somewhere. Plenty of places to eat down the street or on Collins. 4. If you can afford it and plan on going multiple times buy a season pass $70.19 after tax even better buy a combo pass for Hurricane Harbour and Six Flags for $99.99 + tax. Also buy season parking $55 after tax and if you have a combo pass you can use it in both parks. 5. Buy a souvenir cup for 13.99. It won't be your best investment of your life but it will be a good investment. First day of purchase you get unlimited refills. Bring your old souvenir cups and fill them up with your free refills. I brought 5 old cups with the family and got 27 refills in a 3 1/2 hour span. I think I made my money back, also I can use the cup in both parks. 6. Don't rent lockers they are to f%#^ing expensive. Bring cash in a ziplock bag. Leave you cell phones hidden in your car. I bring a bag with lots of zippers and put my car keys and season passes with $3.25 for the refills. Get the spots out by the wave pool in the open and put your stuff under the layout chairs. Lay your towel over it. People are less likely to steal your stuff when it's out in the open. 7. Buy your inner tubes at Wally World, much cheaper then renting. 8. If you have a season pass come in the morning any day to ride most rides without having to wait to long. Come after 5 on weekends for a few hours when most people are leaving just to chill, lazy river, wave pool, waterfall massage, etc. I only stay about 3-4 hours max if I come when they open and only about 2-3 hours in the evening. 9. If you must buy stuff and have a Discovery card, use it. You get 5% off most purchases at park. Even online purchases. If your not a season pass holder, buy everything online. It's a little cheaper. 10.If your fat wear a one piece not a two piece. Even my wife agrees who wears a one piece these days. Call me an A-hole if you want. For the guy who stayed till exactly till 8pm, you sir are a douche bag. You are the dbag that walks into places at 9.59pm, when it clearly states at the door closed at 10.00pm and expect to be served. Why 3 stars? There should be a dress code! Guys wearing under wears should be thrown out, same with two piece wearing fat women. When I say fat I mean Xl and up. There are sexy bigger women. Fat guys like me please wear a shirt. Not all the rides are open when the park opens. Not all the jets are always running in the lazy river. Some times it doesn't move at all. When the lazy river, or pool is closed, with exception of the wave pool, they are usually checking the PH balance of the water. Simply means someone took a dump in the pool. We already accept that everyone has pissed in the water at one point in time of their lifes. Call me racist but the demographics of people that go there these days days definitely has gone down hill. Why isn't there an option to leave zero star reviews? This place is disgusting. I am so repulsed by my experience, I would not even give Six Flags an opportunity since it's the same company. Arrival - $20 parking- ok- no big deal, I grew up in CA and went to Disneyland with expensive parking. It's to be expected. Twenty minutes later, I couldn't believe we payed for parking when there was no parking available. "Oh great, we can park up there on the grass!" Nope. That's employee parking. Absolutely no parking officials guiding you to a spot like a professional park such as Disney. Seating/Food - I waited in line for so long and then when it was my turn, the lady disappeared. Another lady working another line, asked me if I needed help. I told her yes, and she said that the lime I was in had just closed because the gal went on lunch. Wow! She doesn't even tell me after waiting 20 minutes to spend an obscene amount of money on frozen food?! There was absolutely no where to eat our $30 lunch of cold chicken nuggets and fries with flies on them. The Atmosphere - this place smells like a mixture between a women's used period pad, farts and B.O. - so you can probably guess that that's exactly what is in the water you're in. I heard people just telling their kids to "pee in the water like everyone else does". SICK. My daughter went down the water slide in the children's area and can't swim so she had a life vest on. She shot out of the slide and the lifeguards didn't even acknowledge her she was just going under water and I jumped in after her to calm her down. They were just talking with each other. I don't expect them to watch my child by any means, that's my own job - but at least not is when the kids are being shot out and help usher them past the red line since we aren't supposed to go in that area. I want my money back! We didn't stay more than 2 hours and split after my chest got covered in what looked like black pubic hair! I want a refund! read more

Drove in for our first visit at Hurricane Harbor. Needless to say we will never be back. You have to pay for EVERYTHING here. $25 just to park? I got the kids there electronic speed pass which I thought was a good idea. Those are WAY over priced and the "stands" around the park that you have to make a reservation at (only 8 of them), well some don't even work so you have to go find another. One of the burger places was closed - on a Saturday? It took 45 minutes to get the family meal that I prepaid for and you only get small drinks. For a $45 meal? And no one was wearing hairnets or gloves. There are signs everywhere for pizza (which is what we wanted) but they don't have any pizza that I could find. We treated younger teenage grand kids & daughter to a day at Hurricane Harbor. The $24.99 admission fee seemed reasonable enough, however there is a $15.00 parking charge, a small locker is a must so add another $13.00. The lines for the use of the various rides are interminably long, especially in the hot sun. They offer a Flash Pass for an extra $25.00 per person which allows holders to cut the lines. This doubles the admission price and creates animosity with the folks waiting, in some cases over an hour, for there turn to experience the ride. "Ergo" the Flash pass is a must if one is to enjoy the day. Food and drinks are expensive and the place is dirty. This is not the way to spend a hot summer day. My family was disappointed and will never return. Spend your recreational dollars elsewhere, this place was "cruel and unusual punishment". read more

Second time there, went on a Monday thinking it would be less crowded but it was packed. $15 parking, $15 locker fee, no outside food or drinks allowed. The lazy river was booooring, tube rental was another $10 per tube so we walked the river..lame. it was jammed with people so barely any space to move. rode one ride, the wolf pack and it was fun but not worth the hour long wait. Food is way overpriced, got chili cheese fries for around $10, they were good. We spent most of the time there just floating around in the shallow pools...would rather be in the water than standing in line. Not worth the costs, will not be making a 3rd visit. The water was very dirty. The parking lot needs work too. Lots of potholes, for $15 a vehicle looks like they could make some improvements. read more

Just want to warn everyone that all of our stuff was stolen and the security guard stood and watched. He did and said nothing while he was watching the area. It was disappointing after a fun filled family day to end with everything being stolen. No cameras either. Every table in the that area with the security guard had something stolen. Went here with my 2 kids and husband on a Thursday in July upon opening time at 10:30am. Prepaid for parking and tickets online, which was the best deal. The park really needs to invest in more misting stations or pavement that doesn't heat up, because if you're not wearing footwear, the pavement will burn your feet. Many people were running from one wet pavement area to the next trying not to burn their feet. We brought flip flips, but my kids refused to wear them. Most of the rides do not allow footwear to be worn on the ride, forcing you to hold your shoes. There aren't as many rides as I would have liked. Being a weekday, the lines were only about 30 minutes long. They load the water with tons of chlorine. If you have sensitive eyes, I would suggest goggles. We used a large locker ($15) because there were no more small lockers in the cluster of lockers we were renting. There are lockers all through the park, so we could have easily went to another cluster of lockers to find a small one, but since it was only $2 more, we just settled for the large. We were able to fit a bag with 2 large towels, 3 bottles of sunscreen *this is a must*, the clothes and flip flops we were all wearing into the large locker. It was just big enough. Glad we didn't get the small...it would have been a tight fit. My kids (ages 8 and 13) loved the park. We rode all the rides. My least favorite was something called the Caribbean something. It was just a water slide that you lay down on...a few turns and it was done. Nothing to write home about. The Black Hole and Tornado were super fun. If you're not a fan of walking stairs, Hurricane Harbor probably isn't going to be a fun place for you. Each ride, you have to walk at least 3 flights carrying a tube. We bought one all day drink bottle ($14) w/ free refills and shared. You can also take these bottles back to Six Flags and/or Hurricane Harbor all season to get 99 cent refills. We also shared 2 large fries ($4 a piece) for lunch (which 1 large fries would have been plenty..they are pretty large). Overall, we had a great time. Season passes are the best deal...but not ideal for us, since I didn't think there were enough rides to justify coming back all season. read more

Lot's to do and everyone was super nice. It looks a little old but clean. We have 3 boys 4, 11 & 12 and everyone had fun. I recommend getting there early and not paying for premium parking. We noticed families eating lunch in the parking lot under canopies which is an excellent way to take a break and save a ton of money. We will go again and pack our lunch! We didn't have high hopes for the park as I hate crowds, but wanted to give it a try anyway. OK, so once you arrive, you have to pay for parking. Guess how much? $15 for the most basic parking, and it only goes up from there. After paying, they send you into the parking lot. There are few if any attendants, so you are on your own. You know how in most big amusement parks they have staff everywhere in the parking lot, and they point you exactly to the spot for YOUR car? Not here. Good luck finding a spot. When we left the park people were parking all over an adjacent grass hill, so I think they don't even care if more cars come in than capacity. Lines to enter were short. It took only ~5 mins to buy a ticket. So that was good. Once you're inside, you have to find a locker. The ones next to the entrance are all taken, of course, so you have to go looking around and we ended up having to ask guest services where more lockers were inside the park. Eventually we found some - guess how much? $13 for a basic locker, and they were all sold out. We paid $15 for a "large" that wouldn't hold more than 2 people's stuff. Now we could get on with the fun. Or so we thought... we were there from 11:30 until 3:30 and we rode in all of 5 rides. All the time between is spent waiting... waiting... and waiting some more in lines. The last ride we took was the highest slide, the Stuka, because we figured it would be too scary for most people. Well, the line was indeed shorter than others. But the pace at which it moved... it took us 1 hour to move 60 yards. Why??? Well, we had plenty of time to observe waiting in line. It turns out that although they have 3 slides next to each other, they only let 1 person go at a time. "A time" is defined as ~3 minutes... so every 3 minutes the line moves about 1-2 yards. It takes FOREVER to up to the ride. 15 years ago in Wet n Wild in Florida we rode the same slides and the line moved 10x as quick. Maybe the fear of lawsuits have changed things since then, but we had no fun at all just waiting in line. Oh, you want some food? Sure - that will be $9 for a hot dog and $4 for a bottle of water. You can't bring your own food, of course. Oh, the wave pool? They turn it on for 10 minutes, and then they make everyone leave the water for a "mandatory 15 minute break." Seriously? Gotta love the nanny state regulation. Many of the guests were just trashy too. Smoking where it isn't allowed, throwing their food leftovers into the grass. Save your money and buy a ticket to the Caribbean instead. read more

This was quite a disturbing experience. My fiancé and I traveled from Seattle to celebrate my birthday and our engagement at Six Flags. We planned to spend a few hours at hurricane harbor on Saturday and what we got was nothing but terrible and disgusting customer service. We spent a little over an hour trying to get parking. My fiancé and I are Diamond Members and none of the preferred lots were able to accommodate us. On the first pass, the attendant at the first lot told me the lot was full and I had to move to the second lot. Ok. I arrived at the second lot and was asked if I had a reservation. I had no idea that a reservation was required to park preferred and she explained the situation. She told me that I could come back at 1pm and find preferred parking. I made another full circle, sitting in a long line of cars and made a second pass at the attendants. This time, there were several spots open in the first preferred lot. I asked if I could be let in and the attendant asked if I had a reservation. No and this time she told me that they can't let people in till after 3pm. WTF?? First you tell me 1pm and now 3pm?? I searched the website for any information to see if what they said were true. I found NOTHING on six flags website stating what hours preferred parking members could park at. So who's making these regulations?? Are they just feeding me bullshit and avoiding to provide service? @Sixflags, you need to train your employees better and teach your staff the meaning of "customer centricity". In addition, you need to add a feature on the app to allow members to reserve parking. At the end of all this, we left the park, unable to enjoy the park and make full use of our so-called "Diamond" membership. read more

Hurricane Harbor offers many exciting and thrilling rides. It is always hot, so be prepared for that. Also, it can be unclean and filthy. Go to hurricane harbor if you want to spend an average amount on tickets, have a whole lot of rides to go on, wait in long lines, and risk stepping in someone old gum on the ground. read more

Can I give negative stars? As indicated in previous reviews the bathrooms are disgusting. At opening time there was already poop on the floor and toilet paper strewn about. The only good thing so far is the covered area for people to sit.instead of picnic tables, how about lounge chairs? You can fit more people. Even if was in this area again I doubt I'd waste money to come here. read more

I was at Hurricane Harbor yesterday. The park closed 10 minutes after we arrived. No refund for $20 parking or $16 locker or two tickets. Spent 2 hours on the road to get there and went on one ride. Was also told that they closed because they have a "policy" that they close if attendance is low. This is crazy-- the few of us who were there lost our money bc they weren't making enough money. The only closure policy published is for extreme weather-- it was cloudy yesterday. No lightening or thunder or wind. The only extreme weather was their treatment of guests who were thrown out of the park for no reason whatsoever. I'm very disappointed in the high cost and low regard for their guests. Next time, I will go to Schlitterbahn or Hawaiian Falls and will steer clear of Hurricane Harbor. read more
