What a dream this restaurant is. We decided to visit Six Seven for Thanksgiving since it was just going to be the two of us and after some research, it seemed to be a good spot to go to. We made reservations more than a month in advance; but had to settle for a 330 reservation. At the time I wasn't thrilled, but today it was the perfect timing to be seated to watch the sunset view. The decor is very much a lodge style, with fireplaces throughout and bark/trees curving up the walls. For Thanksgiving there was a prix fixe menu with 4 courses. I chose the mushroom risotto, winter salad, king salmon, and lemon ricotta cheesecake. The risotto was interesting with hints of sour, but really good. The winter salad was amazing and I wish we had more. The king salmon was so good that I stopped eating so that I could save some for later. And the lemon ricotta cheesecake....well, let's just say that I stopped eating it and traded it for my husband's flourless chocolate cake, which was amazing! We were lucky enough to sit next to the window during our visit; but I don't think you can request it. Also a note about the check--there is a service fee for the care of the floating restaurant. Apparently they work on it every winter. This place has limited valet parking, but if you're willing to walk there is street parking across the train tracks. Loved this restaurant. It was part of the hotel Edgewater where I was staying. What a great place to watch the sunsets on clear days. Today, the water was a calm as can be. The restaurant is located in the Edgewater Hotel. The restaurant has stunning views of the water. There is also a bar/lounge area for casual bites and drinks. The food and drinks are priced higher. Dishes average from $15-$20 for breakfast and $20-$30 for dinner. I tried a weekend brunch menu and a breakfast menu during my stay at the hotel. On the weekend, the menu is slightly different then the daily breakfast menu. My husband normally orders the salmon omelet on the weekday but it was not available for brunch. He raves that it is good. I tried the avocado omelet, clam chowder, chicken and waffles, steak and eggs and the salmon plate. My favorite dishes were the salmon plate, steak and eggs and the chowder. There was a ton of cream cheese, capers and salmon in my to go container. I ended up eating half of it for lunch and the other half for dinner. Delicious! The clam chowder was rich and creamy. I didn't care for the sourdough bread since it was burnt. The steak and eggs were amazing. The steak was tender and flavored well. I asked for no potatoes and they were able to substitute a homemade pecan pastry. The pastry was flaky and melted in your mouth. I did not care for the avocado omelet. I wasn't a fan with the cheese of choice. The chicken and waffles weren't anything special. My husband would order drinks here and he enjoys the selection of alcohol they offer. Fantastic location right on top of the water. Located inside the edgewater hotel. The feel is modern lodge...which doesn't make sense but it works. Lots of logs, wood, stone and metal. It's a great look. The fireplaces are cozy, the seating is comfortable and the food is great. The staff is friendly and fun. We were able to score a window table probably because it was in the middle of the day. The drink and food prices are pretty high but most people save this place as a special occasion experience. It's a beautiful atmosphere and in an awesome location right on the sound, the views are spectacular. I'll start off by talking about the drinks. There's a lot of good options, top shelf is not our norm but this places offer just that so why not. You can sit at the lounge and have some small plates plus drinks, or you can sit in the dining room and stick to the dining menu, however, if you want to eat regular dinner that's available at the lounge as well. The restaurant is located inside the Edgewater Hotel right by the ocean, so the views during sunset were breath taking! We weren't able to get a table right by the window, but we still got an amazing view of the sunset. We started off with the bread bowl and the lobster mac and cheese (since everyone was raving about it!), but unfortunately, the mac and cheese was brought out after the entrees. By that time, we were too full to even eat half of the dish. We ordered the filet mignon, while my brother ordered the cedar planked king salmon dish, and I ordered the mole braise beef short rib entree. We were probably eating our second slice of bread when all of our entrees came out, so the food came out very quickly to our surprise. Food quality. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly with a hint of blue cheese. I specifically ordered the braised beef dish because included were white cheddar grits and I love grits! I absolutely loved my dish! All of the flavors and supporting vegetables and carbs were amazingly meshed together. The salmon was definitely undercooked, but my brother liked it. He gobbled all of the mushrooms, potatoes, and vegetables on his pretty layed out platter of food. Not your average hotel restaurant. Six Seven is located in the Edgewater Hotel. It is nicely decorated, has friendly staff, and delicious food. The space is split between the indoor dining area, the outdoor dining patio, and the spacious bar. I've been to Six Seven for breakfast, lunch, and happy hour (Sun thru Thurs 3 to 6pm). For breakfast, I found that the chef was accommodating when I made a special request to fold crispy bacon into their waffle batter and put a soft-cooked egg on top (P.S. That's an awesome combo). For lunch, I sunned myself on their outdoor patio and enjoyed a nice glass of wine with my meal. For happy hour, I selected their "animal style" mini cheeseburgers (yum!!) and opted for the pineapple martini. Two of those make a very happy hour indeed. Great happy hour selections and they are open 365 days a year! We made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner. Pre set menu with several well thought out choices for each course. Crab cake were actually all crab! Not a lot of breading. Delicious! Salads were fresh and dressed just right. Main course was the short ribs for me. And filet for the wife. Both cooked to proper temp. Short ribs were seasoned perfectly and were moist and tender. Fork split. Food and service are exceptional here. We have been back many times since. Being in Seattle my brothers and I were very clueless about where we should eat for my brothers 33rd birthday. During the day I strolled the city and being the chatty guy I am, I asked several people walking the streets for food recommendations and Six Seven was the most common response. Our waiter Justin was top notch, running down the menu, and giving ideas to us. We ordered drinks, wedge salads and they both came out within 5-10 mins. The drinks were tasty and strong, and the salads were dynamite. The candied bacon ontop the salad was something I will now have to try and make at home because it was so good. For the main course we ordered the Cod, salmon and chicken. Justin brought out the food quickly, and even brought us their special sauce he said people loved to eat with the chicken. He brought out a garlic Chimichurri that was truly amazing with the chicken dish, and my brother used it for his Salmon as well. We tried the gnocchi and black cod and enjoyed the food. Though, I was slightly disappointed with the creme brulee we ordered. We had their fried chicken waffle, bacon avocado omlet and Marion pancakes. We are absolutely full! Each dish is a great proportion, was delicious and beautifully platted. The Marion bourbon syrup was very sophisticated in its taste and pairing with the chicken waffle. And the Marion pancakes was the perfect fluff, texture, and crisp. I'm very happy with how we were treated. I worked really hard to save up and treat my love one to this restaraunt and I left knowing I got my moneys worth. I was only a little disappointed by our coffee. We ordered a mocha and cappuccino. I mean, the coffee was of quality, but we didn't like the taste. It was not like a Storyville Coffee. Yelp brought us here with a search for a memorable waterfront restaurant in Seattle and its great reviews. We couldn't have been more pleased; From the approach to this regal hotel restaurant, to the beautiful entry, to meandering in the lobby on the way to Restaurant Six Seven. We visited in late April and just before sunset we were looking forward to a beautiful view of the waterfront. Regretfully the first table we were directed to did not have that. We noticed a few outdoor tables available. We quickly got moved. The weather was beautiful and we ended up with the BEST view of all. There were a few heat lamps out on the patio but they really weren't needed that evening. Looking over the menu we were thrilled to find few things on the happy hour menu we wanted to try. My favorite being the tempura fried veges served with a memorable remoulade. The company, the view, the happy hour all so memorable, we ended up staying for dinner even though we really weren't hungry. And we opted to stay on the patio, even though waterfront tables inside had opened up by then. Best decision. The view really was breathtaking. The food exquisite. Started with a delicious arugula pear salad and a memorable fois gras and fruit platter served with crostini to share. Surprised to enjoy the very best salmon I had EVER experienced, served on cedar plank. Also tried a bite of my niece's lamb shank which was melt in your mouth delicious. Both of us made a mental note, "must return here soon!" Located on scenic Alaskan Way, close to the aquarium, and convenient to downtown Seattle, the location couldn't be better.
