Everyone at the security gate was friendly and they got us right through respectfully. The stage is in the far side of the bar and had a sizeable area for folks to stand. The new place is nice inside, it's huge and basically identical to the former venue with a stage for music. The menu is diverse with pub food geared towards more of a southern style. For lunch I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. The sandwich was quite tasty. It had a wonderful crunch to it and some strong heat. The pickles and lettuces were refreshing accompaniments. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Had a semi private event here after a wedding and the door guy singled out one person and wouldn't let him in claiming the guest in question was "too intoxicated and he was concerned for his safety" - guest in question does not drink. When he asked why he was not being let in the security said he was getting aggressive, which was not the case, so we asked for the manager. I understand that as management you have to back up your staff, but you also have to evaluate the situation at hand. If you and your staff are trained properly, you easily could have recognized that he was clearly not intoxicated. Poor judgement initially on the part of the door security, then doubled down on the poor judgement from the manager. Turned what could have been a great experience into a negative experience for the whole party, especially the person footing the bill. Another thing to note - after this happened we were standing outside and two Foxboro police officers were standing nearby so we struck up a conversation. They were confused about the situation stating "they wouldn't let HIM in?" - just as confused as we were. Poor judgement, poor management, poor experience. 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more

Food and service were excellent! We had the catfish and chips and the short rib Mac n cheese. The short rib was perfect fall apart beef. The catfish was well cooked but not dried out. Our waitress was very nice and prompt. The food here is much better than Toby Keith's was. Toby Keith's was good when it first opened but they slacked on the food quality over time and the general upkeep of the building. This revamp of the space is exactly what this spot needed. My only suggestion to this restaurant is to add a few more items to their menu at a higher price point, like a good sirloin steak or ribs. read more

Came here because it was the only place without a 30 min wait. That should have been our first clue. We ordered a pretzel(not worth $12) Nashville hot chicken sandwich($16) and the six string burger($15). Service was slow and the waitress wasn't the most attentive. The Chicken sandwich didn't even have chicken, it was nothing but breading and maybe a small trace of what was once a chicken breast or thigh. The bottom bun was soggy mess and the only nice thing I could say was the pickle was good. I upgraded to waffles fries only to receive them cold and hard. My husband had the burger and for the price they charge for it , you would expect it to be a decent quality.... it just looked sad.... We didn't bother to complain Bc we ate half of it. Only Bc we waited so long and were hungry and trying to be some place on time. Worst experience ever. So my husband and I are not drinkers. But we happened to be out for a work event and our company stopped by. We got in and ordered drinks for the table. It was loud like a normal bar should be but apparently the bar tender said we were intoxicated...... We do not drink lol. We had been there for under 5 minutes and we again do no drink. Second time here, seated right away, outside as we requested. Waitress was really nice and attentive.. wife went with the Southwest salad. Great size with lots of avocado and a nicely seasoned grilled chicken on top. She didn't finish it so I did . I went with the six string burger. It was perfectly cooked, only downside was I wished the bacon had been crispier. This was the same for the fries. I like mine crispy, and these were cooked, but nit very crispy. I first came here over the summer and had a pleasant experience and pretty good food. However, I went there again today and it was a different story. The host and server lacked basic customer service skills. There wasn't a greeting when we came in, they didn't even get off their phones as we stood there waiting to be seated. The restaurant smelled of weed, which I personally find pretty unappetizing and unappealing. My boyfriend ordered the fish tacos and got awful food poisoning!! Personally I loved the restaurant! The service was great our waiter didn't rush us but was attentive. It's a bit of a loud atmosphere but a nice experience to have all the same. If you like more quiet dining definitely not the scene for you or ask to be seated outside. Food was great I loved the burger and the pizza delicious even tho it was there specialty. The food is underwhelming at best. Very overpriced, a burger will run you around $20 or more if you want bacon or any additional toppings and they will come out like hockey pucks. Me and my wife went there for the second time last night. Both times we went to see Timmy Brown and the venue is excellent for music but that is it , it stops right there the bartenders are friendly but the food absolutely is horrible and the drinks are way overpriced. So if music is your thing, I would strongly recommend eating before you go to Six String Grill and if you plan on going there for food just avoid it all together it's overpriced and below average. A draft domestic beer is 6.50 for a 16 oz water down draft beer. read more

A friend of my brother, who frequents Foxborough recommend "Six String Grill & Stage to pre game. His friend gets points for effort, but the place was okay. It's located right by the stadium. It's a big place and very popular. Rightfully so, they land big artist. They have Brett Michaels coming there for a concert and the half time specials on the large stage in the back of the restaurant. Patriots fans love that it's full of the faithful, however, Giants fans expect more from their meals. The turkey club was okay. It was lacking on flavor and bacon. Also it was a bit light on mayo. I didn't want to complain so I finished it. The sweat peas also lacked flavor even with pepper poured on top. The burger was cooked perfectly and my brother said he enjoyed it. He just didn't enjoy the fries, it's not like him to leave a plate full of fries, so I know he really didn't like them. I mean as far as sports bars go, I would definitely watch games here! It's huge and has plenty of TV's. Also like I said before, they book some legit music artist. But if I had to eat, this wouldn't be a place I would recommend.....well not to Giants fans. read more

Big venue option right outside of Gillette. The line moved quick on the outside but they seem to let too many people inside. It's hard to order a drink and nearly impossible to find a place to sit unless you arrive two hours + before the game starts. Bad first experience. I start by selecting a drink that is apparently a summer special, yet it is still on the menu in January. Ended up getting a very bad margarita. I order the BL and Fried Green Tomato sandwich only to find out they do not have any green tomato. They gave me the incorrect side with my sandwich and the sandwich tasted like mayo and bread. Me and the fam came here during their grand opening weekend for lunch. Didn't look too different from when it was Toby Keith's. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very nice. We ordered a couple of pretzels for the app w/their mustard dipping sauce which was delicious. However, it did take longer then it should for our app to come out. For my meal I had the chicken and waffles. It's a fried chicken boneless breast on top of 1 waffle. They put a cinnamon butter and a bourbon maple syrup on it. It was good but a little too sweet for me. The chicken was very dry. My wife ordered the baby iceberg salad. Her blue cheese dressing was VERY watered down. She added steak to it, and she wasn't very impressed with it. My daughter ordered a burger, medium rare and it came out very pink. Also too a while for our meals to come out and they were not busy at all so not sure if the cooks were moving in 1st gear or what the deal was. Overall, we were not impressed with Six String and based on the food quality, we won't make it a point to go back. With so many other dining options at Patriots Place, they definitely need to step their game up big time if they hope to last here. read more

We got here at about 5:00pm on Wednesday, a few days before their grand opening. I have been here many times before it changed hands and it remains largely the same. There was a large staff working at the time. There is a huge bar, seats well over 50 patrons. There are 4 Draft beer stations each with 16 choices, although it appears that it is the same 16 choices at each station. They serve two sizes of draft beer, 14oz and 20oz. Prices are not posted and they vary with brewery and size. There is a beer list in their menu, but beer prices are not posted here either. I paid $6 and $7 for 14 oz drafts which is competitive for the area. I like the menu. I had the Hawaiian Flatbread, it was $14 and delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly though still in training mode. It was not very busy when I was there so it will be interesting to see how they handle a full house. In preparation for visiting this restaurant I spent some time looking at some of the reviews. There seemed to be a mix of good and bad. Our experience was very good. Our server was fast and attentive, keeping an eye on drinks and food. The restaurant/bar itself is really big, granted we were there in the afternoon so it wasn't as full as i'm sure it is at night. There were lots of TVs to watch whatever sports were on. We ordered several apps and then split a main dish. All food came out very quickly and hot. While I wouldn't say it was the best food I've ever had, it was definitely solid. In my opinion, it's the perfect place to come with a group of people and have fun and share a bunch of food.
