We visited this Sizzler location for a late lunch. So glad we did! What a super experience! I normally won't take time out to write a review on Yelp, but it was such a overwhelming positive lunch I felt compelled to write this. Actually happened to run into and meet the operations director Mr. Danny Rosa. We were able to express to him how nice dining room looked and the salad bar appearance. Our server was Michelle. She took great care of us and in talking to her she mentioned she has worked at Sizzler for 18 years! We ordered steak and malibu chicken and my wife had a salad bar. The steak was cooked to perfection! (Michelle asked to cut into my steak upon placing the plate in front of me) I had never had a server asked me to do that before. I thought it was brilliant! My rice and toast were perfect as well. My wife's salad bar experience was really good too. She commented how clean and how fresh everything looked. Michelle kept checking back on us. Our first waitress was so so, but the 5 stars is given because Katrina took over and noticed our steak was not correctly cooked and had a new one made for us to take home. Then, when the new steak was ready Yeni had us see if it was to our liking and it was still too rare. Yeni returned it to the kitchen to have it cook for a few more minutes and included a baked potato to take home with it. Awesome duo they had working tonight!!!!!! The last time I go here,the chicken from the salad bar was over cooked, thats all i ever really want when i go. Got the 3 baby back meal too and the ribs were mostly fatty,also the server was noticeably unhappy. My wife and I eat here at least once a month. The surroundings are clean, fresh, the staff friendly and attentive. The food is consistently good and flavorful. Their salad bar has a little better selection in the summer (summer fruits are available). The bread is always hot, fresh and flavorful. They have a wide selection of meats (beef, chicken, pork, and seafood) and we consider it great value for the price. There are more expensive steak places in Bakersfield, but not many more flavorful or friendly. They have a good selection of soups and desserts available as well. Parking CAN be a little difficult due to location. read more

I feel like the food is alright at best, the service is pretty average but the main reason I wrote this review is because they allowed a like 7 minutes sex scene to play on all the tv's. I get that it was something else before, but they really let the whole scene play out, even when a few of the employees were watching it too. I'm always happy with sizzler. My favorite has always been the Malibu chicken. I mostly get the unlimited salad bar because I can't eat a lot of food anymore. Vernon location We were served by "Dianna", who made sure we had drinks and any other condiments we needed. The Sizzler on Real Rd. Is lacking many of these traits. Honestly the only reason this place got three stars because the service is great! The food is not exactly what I would expect for the price, my parents love this place so I was a bit disappointed when my husband and I made it a point to go. The salad bar was on par with any truck stop café buffet, The steak was prepared nicely, but it didn't seem to be the best quality meat. My last 3 experiences their my family chose that resteraunt and Nothing is ever fully cooked, our salmon wasn't fully cooked only grilled on one side, my son's pizza dough was raw 2 times, my chicken was pink inside and my baked potato was ice cold.
