We went to this Sizzler when visiting many times in the past but this time we were not that satisfied as the food seemed much cheaper then in the past the steaks seemed thin small & over cooked, the veggies over cooked & even the cheese bread on burnt side. The most amazing unexpected divine experience that I have ever had in my 29 years of life. Truly a dining experience. I was told of this Malibu chicken it sounded like medley of unknown substances but let me tell you that it was a flavor combo that Julia child could not even top. Walking in I saw the price of unlimited salad bar I was quite stunned not knowing the the 1790 flavor combos that you can put together and create. It was truly was endless way more then salad. My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience (3/15/24). Since we no longer have a sizzler where we are from (Ventura ca) , we were excited to have found one in this town!!! The food was still great and so was the service. Our server "christina " was a great server , she made sure to be attentive of what we needed or asked for . It has been over 2.5 years since we have been into a Sizzler in Indio and during the pandemic they closed our beloved sizzler down for good. We were traveling on the 10 east heading back to Indio when we agreed to stop at the Banning Sizzler for dinner. They seemed busy, which is a good sign for freshness in food. We noticed the signage that they were offering potato skins as an appetizer along with calamari and another item that didn't catch my fancy at the moment. My husband ordered the 12 ounce sirloin steak and a baked potato with it fully loaded. I had the Mailbu chicken and steamed vegetables with trip to the salad bar. I ventured to the salad bar to get wings but this establishment didn't carry them. They had mini corns, tasteless chicken nuggets, meatballs and a nacho bar along with four types of soups to choose from. The cold section of the salad bar had a variety of veggies and dressings for your salad. There was plethora of cold salads with mayo and no mayo added. There were some fresh fruits cut up but those were not filled when I ventured out. I believe there was an ice cream bar but I am not into that portion of the "salad bar". When our potato skins arrived they were not what the picture looked like on the billboard. The potato skin had about 1/8 inch of potato on it along with being greasy from the kitchen. On top there with crumbles of unseasoned and flavorless crumbles of mystery meat. I know it wasn't turkey,as turkey is lean compared to these grease sticks. The bacon bits were crunchy and the cheddar cheese sprinkles looked just like melted sprinkles. Sadly, these tater skins were gross with the lack of seasoning and care that went into preparing them. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly, rare. HoW can one mess this up by overcooking the steak. He said it tasted great. But his baked potato was crunchy on the inside so he didn't eat it. Plus it has a 1/4 CUP of margarine dolloped on top of it. If you are into margarine then this would have be awesome for you!!. My Malibu chicken was good and the veggies were not over cooked. It seemed they changed their recipe for the Mailbu sauce, it wasn't quite right. When we did finally received our cheese toast it was the bomb. Just a note for all you future patrons of sizzler when my husband was entering the men's restroom the cook was leaving with his apron on. This is a HUGE NO NO. Aprons always come off before you enter a restroom and stay THEY outside of the restroom facilities. How would you like your cook to pee on his apron then wipe his hands on that same apron when preparing YOUR DISH!!How gross In my humble opinion management needs to speak with all the staff about entering the restroom with an apron on. We will not be visiting this establishment again. read more

Haven't been to a Sizzler Restaurant in a very long time. We were in the area and the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed so we decided to come here. My girlfriend got the all you can eat salad bar while I got the Classic Steak Trio. It comes with a 6 ounce sirloin steak, Malibu Chicken and some jumbo shrimp and a side. I got the baked potato. Steak was cooked perfectly and was good. The Malibu Chicken didn't taste like I remember. The shrimp were good. My baked potato was a little on the overdone side. So about a 3 out of five for the meal. The service was good as the wait staff made sure our drinks were kept full and was brought some toast to munc on before our meal arrived. Salad bar was good with salads, pasta, taco bar, spaghetti and fruit and desserts. read more

On the weekends they are very busy! So plan ahead. The salad bar always look fresh and very well stocked!

Another server kept refilling the buffet area. The only complaint I have is the salad buffet is a little pricey. Wonderful! I havent been to this place over 15 years. We ordered 2 salad bars for $20 and strawberry lemonades. Look how pretty they made the drinks! Totally worth $5 for unlimited lemonades. The salad bar was very clean and food prepped right. We were very pleased. read more

A group of friends make the drive from Palm Springs every two weeks on a Monday or Tuesday for the salad bar which we all really enjoy. And Monday and Tuesday they have chili as one of the soup choices which we all really like as well. This past Tuesday we went at dinner time rather than our usual lunch time. We were disappointed with the chili latter in the day as we all commented that it tasted thin or watered down and was not rich and hardy as usual. Had a wonderful experience at this Sizzler. We decided to stop by on out way home from the Outlets. Nicholas H., took our order, was super pleasant and very professional. Our waitress was also great.
