First of all, let me preface this 5-star review by saying it is based on the value-to-experience ratio. Is this as good as Maestro's or Bavette's in Chicago? No, but show me where in a major city you can get a steak dinner this good for this price. I've paid $50+ for a steak that was far worse in NYC than the $24 New York strip I had tonight, and it came with a baked potato and free cheese bread! I also got the seasonal veggies, which were good, not great, but better than any vegetable side at Texas Roadhouse. To top it off, the host who took my order and my server were super friendly and attentive. I wish I'd known about this spot sooner for the nights I'm stuck in hotels near LAX. It's like having a nice home-cooked dinner in the Midwest. Steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, baked potato could have been hotter and was obviously cooked hours before I arrived, BUT UNDER $25 for EVERYTHING! You can't get a burger at any of the hotel bars up the road for that. 17-minute walk from the Renaissance. No ambiance, but clean and not sketchy at all outside. I visited the Westchester (Manchester/LAX) Sizzler on August 10, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., expecting the same friendly service I had experienced over the years. Instead, I encountered one of the most unprofessional customer service interactions I've had in a restaurant. The cashier, Brisa, never greeted me, made eye contact, or acknowledged me in a welcoming manner. From the beginning, she treated me with a dismissive attitude and repeatedly asked for my order without any attempt at basic hospitality. Before ordering, I mentioned that the floor directly in front of the register was extremely sticky. I wasn't complaining--I simply thought someone should know. My comment was completely ignored. During the ordering process, I asked what my meal would cost with an added item. Rather than answering a simple question or offering an estimate, Brisa insisted she couldn't tell me until the entire order had been entered. There was no effort to be helpful. When I finally asked why she was treating me with such an attitude, she told me it was because I had asked for the restroom code when I first entered the restaurant instead of greeting her. I had simply come in needing to throw something away and use the restroom. As a customer, I don't believe it's unreasonable to ask a question upon entering. Hospitality begins with the employee welcoming the guest--not expecting the guest to greet the employee first. When I asked to speak with the manager, Brisa told me the manager was in a meeting and could not be interrupted for approximately thirty minutes. Rather than offering to relay my concern or let the manager know a customer wished to speak with them, she told me I could either wait or leave because she was "not going to put up with" me. Deescalation was not her intention, she just needed to be right. I heard her blaming me for the interaction with someone as I left. At that point, I chose to leave. I never placed my order. This is a great Sizzler location. One of the rare cases where when I order a steak medium rare they actually sear it correct! I ordered their steak, shrimp, Malibu chicken trio combo with a side salad. Boy was I impressed and mightily satisfied! The salad bar here is really kept in great condition! I'm so torn about what I want to write about my trip to Sizzler, but let's give it a shot and see what I can think of. I stopped at Sizzler a few weeks ago with my wife because I've been wanting to try the salad bar since moving to California and figured it was as good a day as any. Walking into a Sizzler in 2025 takes me back to 1999 when I was frequently going to a place called Ponderosa on the East Coast. You walk in, order at the front register, and then get to sit down and get whatever you want from the salad bar. Why did I want the salad bar? THE CHICKEN WINGS BABY! My all-time favourite chicken wings are from that place called Ponderosa and these bad boys looked the exact same, so i loaded up a plate and sat down to dig in. Now, the chicken wings themselves are exactly what I wanted and tasted really, really, really good. These are at least what I think, the same wings from Ponderosa back in the day and I'll absolutely be coming back to eat them again in the future, but let me tell you, they did make me feel awful and by plate two I was ready to tap out and get out as fast as I could. Overall, Sizzler is a solid enough establishment with steak, a salad bar, and whatever else this place feels like making. For three people we ended up paying $61 and for one of the entrées, the chicken and bun were burned. This used to be one of our go to places, but unfortunately it's declined. Service was terrible. 4 of us went for dinner on a Sunday at 6:45 pm. There wasn't a line to order and the dining room was probably 1/4 of the way full. They brought us water right away, 10 minutes later they brought cheese bread, 10 minutes after that they came and asked how everything was (referring to the cheese bread and water I guess). After 20 more minutes we still didn't have our food! We got an unlimited salad bar and a Fisherman's Platter between 2 adults. The Fisherman's Platter came with cheese toast. Not sure if unlimited salad bar was also included in this entreé - wasn't made clear to us. As a first timer to Sizzler, I was amazed that we were only given a single plate to reuse at the salad bar, which is highly unsanitary. The unlimited salad bar also included access to the hot bar and soup bar, so that was nice. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively. I informed the cashier that my order was wrong and I told her I need too speak the manager, when the cashier was telling the manager of course it's in Spanish what happened. The manager told me she has to refund my money back on to the card. She didn't say sorry or offer me any other solution. They honestly exceeded my expectations! I'm classified as an unpretentious foodie. This is the same great value I remember from years ago. There aren't any Sizzlers in my area but this place is next door to our hotel so we both felt curious. The place was immaculate and comfortable. We both had the ribeye with crispy shrimp. We also both wanted salad so we got the salad bar option. The salad bar had tons of options and between my hubby and myself we tried almost everything. Overall, thumbs up! Our food was brought by our lovely server who was professional and friendly. The steak was quite small and a little tough but tasty enough. The shrimp were good too and I think they make the cocktail sauce in-house, it was that good. The tiny steak just left room for more salad bar! Five stars for service, two stars for the meat. We went for dinner here because it was close to our hotel. Staff is friendly and welcoming and the place is fairly clean and comfortable. Our server was especially nice - patiently explaining what was included and checking up on all the customers frequently. My herb chicken was nicely seasoned but also tough - about 15% of it I had to spit out because prolonged chewing wasn't breaking it down. The worst of it is that the brand "Sizzler" has NOT even acknowledged that this was a very disheartening experience for someone who grew up with this establishment. I have never posted anything on social media, but because Sizzler chooses NOT to acknowledge this, I feel it's my duty to share my personal experience. 2/10/2024 Today service from Alicia was horrible. We usually get the salad bar, so our expectations are very low: 1.bring entree, 2. refill drinks, 3.bring toast. 1. She did that. 2. Took awhile, hubby had to flag her down. 3. Asked 4 times, never got it, but I did watch the table next to us that just sat down get their toast (Ouch! I stumbled upon Sizzler one night after work when I needed a good meal without breaking the bank. The restaurant was very clean inside and the service was quick and accommodating. I had the ribeye, a little fatty but tons of flavor I would say. The sides were good too, I recommend the cheesy broccoli! It's not a Charlie Palmer or BOA steakhouse but it came through in the clutch when I just wanted a steak without all the fluff. 3.5 stars. This sizzler is a good place to stop by for dinner if your group can't agree or is undecided on the meal choices. They can get some burgers, salad, soup, salad bar, meat, seafood or chicken if they want. Heck, they have some desserts too. I picked Sizzler when I wanted to eat many things..e.g. I go for their salad bar. For around $15, you get unlimited walk ups to their salad bar to grab whatever you want. They have really basic pasta and meat balls, wings, some taco shells (dont expect high quality, some selection of soup, salad and soft serve ice cream+sundae toppings bar for you. Plus, you get the cheese toast, too! The one thing though is the salad bar look isnt always appetizing. Sometimes if you happened to stop by after someone selectively picks out something (for example, wings) ..the selection doesn't look as great. They do try to refill though. Sodas/drinks are extra..although i find soda a bit expensive (e.g money making for them) for $2.99 unlimited refill. Overall, a decent place to grab dinner. The place is huge and I never had to wait there. Staff seemed sparse..but they tried to help if they see you needing something. Every time I went there, i was stuffed leaving the place..last time my stomach was so full, it was so uncomfortable to get home :p Bonus: salad during lunch (not sure if weekends applied though) is slightly cheaper as well. read more

I have mixed feelings about this location but what made it it a five star rating is the five star service I received. I was apart of a party of 15 although only eleven showed. My order was taken promptly and I was treated with much dignity and respect. My waiter Raquel went above and beyond. I'm not saying that in flattery, I'm stating this in facts. Everything my party wanted or requested, she remembered and didn't have to be asked a second time. Although things became a little overwhelming, she never lost her cool. She gave me the impression that our happiness is what mattered to her. Another thing that I appreciated about this location is the extra restroom that they provide for the elderly. That's a provision I've never seen at any other location. That is beautiful. We actually had someone in our group that was up in age and she started going for the normal restooms and one of the staff members pointed out the restroom that was made just for her and she was quite grateful. Parking is plenty but can feel skimpy on a crowded day which looks to be Sundays. Now for the aspects that gave me mixed feelings. The salad bar. There were plenty of goodies but with no labels. One in my party wanted salad dressing for her salad. She seen something that resembled ranch dressing only to find out it was spicy. She wasn't sure what it was that she picked up. I myself seen what appeared to be toppings for the slices of pound cake that was provided but again with no labels, I wasn't sure what they were. The salad bar not only needs to be labeled but it needs consistent attention. Speaking of this consistent attention, the ice cream machine needs to be monitored as well. I'm not sure how often but it needs monitoring. Every sizzler location I have been to seems to carry this issue. I haven't found a location yet that provides ice cream without any issues. Besides those aspects, I have to admit I walked away a happy customer. I just wanted to address those issues but it wasn't such an irritation to me that it would reflect in the rating. Growing up in Chicago, my parents used to take my sister and I to Ponderosa...if you don't know...it's kinda like this type of place that we don't have in Miami, so when I drove by...I knew I needed to stop in and give it a try to see what's changed. You basically line up and order your food from a cashier, and then sit down anywhere and a server will come and bring your drink and food along with some Texas Toast if you wish. 2/5 Steak and Lobster $23.49 PLUS $11.00 for an upgrade to Ribeye for a total of $34.49 is ludicrous...for a few dollars more, you could dine at Lawry's Prime Rib. The meat came in overdone at first so it was sent back and a new one was made for me; this time the temp was just right but the meat was so chewy even when done rare which tells me the grade of beef was probably select. 5/5 Salad Bar Unlimited $12.99 is what it will cost you if you only stay on the salad bar...and $6.49 if you add this to an entree. The choices on the salad bar looked pretty good, but still not the best quality of all. I didn't add it as I wanted the best possible experience here. 5/5 Service was excellent; our server just had a baby and was really working hard to take care of us; when I asked her how she can work her after having a baby and not knowing if the patrons will tip or not (most of the patrons in here looked like they would leave more than a dollar) she responded with with tipping is an option and although it's not expected, it's appreciated. First time eating at Sizzler after a decade or so and first time at this location. They were not implementing wearing of masks so we were able to fall in line and order without wearing them. I normally did the buffet before but this time I got the manager's special of half dozen shrimp and fries for $7.99. Great deal and taste as I love Cajun fries. Also came with garlic cheese bread on the side. Our server was very attentive and made it a point to check on us every so often.
