The salad bar has soup, spaghetti and meatballs, pasta, etc. The salad bar can be your entire dinner for $17. The three of us all had the salad bar and three full dinners for $65. It's a really good price for the food. Granted it's not top quality steak but the food is still really good. I wasn't expecting much coming here but walked out really impressed. I grew up going to sizzler as a kid back in the day. I hadn't seen one in like 20+year so decided to visit. Menu was still the same from what I could remember. Various steaks and a salad bar. Got the salad bar lunch, which includes a salad bar, hot food station, soups, desserts and cheese bread. Over all a trip down memory lane and satisfying. Service is attentive and they came around 3 or 4 times to check if everything was fine. I went to lunch with my mom, and I was surprised by how expensive Sizzler has become, especially after being a satisfied customer for years. Worst service ever these less than helpful people refused to seat my family a party of 7 according to them due to Covid restrictions but as you can see from the pictures that's BS because there We're plenty of people sitting together and not from the same family. My partner and I stopped her on our way back home. Good fast service. The line was quick and we were to our table within 5 minutes. Mind you this was 4 days before Thanksgiving and they were busy! Once to our table the waitress was quick to come by and assure us our food would be our shortly and if there was anything we needed. My partner requested A1 sauce and she brought it right out. Everything tasted pretty well. I got the steak and shrimp. DELICIOUS! All though next time I think I'll ask for medium. Well done certainly meant just that! We used to even go after prayer meeting with the group because the food was tasty, the place was clean, and the salad bar selection was always good, and the waiters and waitresses we're always super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately covid-19 has not been kind to this restaurant. The last two times that we've ordered delivery I've been increasingly disappointed. We had a rather disappointing experience at the Sizzler in Atwater Village this evening. On the positive side, the ambience was decent, and the service was friendly and efficient. My son and I both got the Tri-Tip Sirloin and salad bar. The steak was tough and stringy and not cooked well. My son ordered his medium, and it came out on the raw side of rare. We also couldn't understand why we were upcharged $3.29 when he ordered his baked potato "loaded". Since we purchased the unlimited salad bar anyway, we just would have gotten the sour cream and toppings from the salad bar (had we known that a charge would be added for potato toppings). read more

Had I known Souplantation would go out of business because of the Coronavirus, I would've given them 5 star reviews out of sheer emotional attachment. I grew up on restaurants like Souplantation and Sizzler, and the mere idea that these businesses would go out of business because of the Coronavirus has brought fear in me. I'm giving Sizzler 5 stars because I don't want this business to go out of business. Recently, I gave 4 stars to Noah's bagels, because of the fact I grew up with Noah's bagels. Here's the thing...If Noah's bagels goes out of business, I could always buy bagels at the supermarket. If Sizzler goes out of business, I'm totally screwed. My family often had family gatherings to celebrate birthdays at Sizzler and thank goodness, the Los Feliz Sizzler is still standing! Sadly, within the last few years, the four closest Sizzler locations from home closed down, and I'm hoping that this location remains open for many more years to come! 4 stars! Despite the large number of diners, service was pretty good and attentive, and it didn't take long at all to get our orders to our table. 5 stars for the decor and for the service on a really busy day. The food is classic Sizzler! 4 stars for the food! Where else can I get my favorite Sizzler menu item, Malibu Chicken? The tender breaded chicken just goes so well with the swiss cheese and ham slices, and it's definitely one of my comfort food items. Served with rice pilaf, I'm a very happy diner! My other go-to menu items at Sizzler include the salad bar, where I always make a taco salad and well as get my fill of their delicious and yummy fried chicken wings. Adding unlimited trips to the salad bar to an entree is now at $6.50, but it's still a pretty reasonable for the selection and variety. pretty good location. I really like to seafood. The seafood is super fresh and it doesn't taste like it was frozen. I like the salads as well. They have a really good dressing that they put on there. I've been here a few times recently since my last review. The Cashiers are very nice now. (I re-read my last review and I wrote about a mean cashier. Haha! I don't even remember that.) BTW, the ordering procedure here is that you place your order at the counter and get your drinks there. Then get yourself a table then you can proceed to the salad bar and other miscellaneous bars. As for the Mixing Station, no one was there. The few times that I'm in Los Feliz for fieldwork, I normally come here for lunch (during weekdays only). I only go to those hip places (e.g., Salazar, Home) when I am with co-workers. Salazar costs more and parking may be difficult. As for Home, for the one time I was there, I didn't find the time to write a review, but I remember that what I had was no good. Back to Sizzler, I always order the Salad Bar lunch ($9.99) primarily because I love their Dinner Rolls . . . and the Butter that comes with it. (The server will bring you only one Dinner Roll unless you request for more. I usually have 2 - 3.) The Clam Chowder is good too. The Salad Bar lunch includes other non-salad items like Mexican-type foods and I think spaghetti but I don't recall having those. So I only recommend their Salad Bar lunch and the Dinner Rolls and Clam Chowder that come with it. And oh, Dessert is included too with the Salad Bar. There are a few items in the Dessert Bar but I only recommend the Soft-Serve Ice-Cream. They have good ol' wafer cones and peanuts to go with it. Another oh! I forgot to compare Sizzler with Souplantation which is just across the street. I choose Sizzler because I really like their Dinner Rolls. And Sizzler is a couple dollars cheaper. Went here yesterday after church. We lucked out that the place wasn't too crowded with it being Superbowl Sunday. But we did end up getting the last spot in the parking lot and my friends had to park across the street. The menu contained pre-set meals to select or the choice to do the salad bar, which included hot items and dessert. I ended up picking the latter and adding a fountain drink. There are TVs placed here and there that had the game showing. The salad bar had a good range of greens, dressings, and toppings to put on your salad. And you have the option of having their salad expert mix everything for you in a bowl, but I just did it on my own. There were three different kinds of soup to pick from and the hot items, located across from the salad bar included onion rings, breaded chicken wings, make your own taco option, Mac and cheese, and a few other items. Their dessert options were limited, but included soft serve ice cream, and was located right next to the soda fountain. The food was pretty decent l, but some of the items were something I was hoping they would be, but weren't. For example, the breaded chicken looked like chicken nuggets, but when I bit into it, I found bones and realized it was a breaded chicken wing. Then the soup I got looked like clam chowder, but ended up being potato chowder. Both were good nonetheless. I had a little of everything, except for the soft serve that came in vanilla and chocolate, when it came to dessert since there was really only four options. They had a cookie and creams mousse that was just right, the banana pudding had nilla wafers and was pretty good, and the jello was cherry and good too. I saw a kid put his raw hand in the M&M's, and his dad noticed it and told him not to do that and they walked away instead of notifying staff. I have to deduct 1 half a star for the overall quality of the steak compared to Outback. And I must deduct 1 and a half stars for the Men's room. It was just not very inviting; bright fluorescent light, weird white hospital tile reminiscent of an insane asylum of the fifties. The restroom doesn't fit the rest of the restaurant. It seems like a truck stop restroom in the middle of nowhere. It should be redone with elegant wood paneling, and modern appliances. Decent size parking lot with residential free street parking and meters nearby. This place has come along way since then. Good family atmosphere. The interior is much nicer and the salad bar has been kicked up a few notches, probably to compete with the Souplantation across the street. Selection is much better and fresher. They even added an area where premium additions (chicken, quinoa, artichoke hearts, shrimp, etc) can be added by an employee. Service is the same, still good. Restrooms are the same as before, too, clean with two stalls. My folks like this place so we'll be back. (There are Senior and Children prices.) I actually think that one star is a bit Generous of my part . I mean seriously!? What has happened to SIZZLER? It has been reduced to mediocre food quality ! I had good memories of it . I remember the unlimited crispy Chicken wings and the crispy shells for tacos . Their ground beef was so good ! Now there's no more chicken wings on the menu. No taco meat and no shells of course . I ordered mashed potatoes but what I got instead was a hard pile of something that looked like mashed potatoes, Of course I sent it back and got the baked potato instead. I don't remember ever seeing chicken nuggets on the menu but now they do. They are horrible . Over cooked and dry. I showed them to the server and he said that's how they come lol .
