    Salad bar
    Josephine C.

On a Sunday afternoon in June, my family arrived at 11am. There was lots of people already eating. It's nice that they opened at 10:30am. The server was nice and good at cleaning plates from tables. Nice ambiance with TVs and people watching. There was wings which was crispy and taste good. The taco filling and shells were good too. Then the tuna salad which is my favorite taste so good. Lots of people so it was hard to take photo of the food. The restaurant is clean and I see staff refilling the food several times while I was eating. The place got busier at 11:30am to 12 noon. Free parking if available.

This Sizzler provided the most EXEMPLARY customer service for us today. Me and my best friend of seven years love dining at Sizzler and this location truly went above and beyond. The manager, Julian, took our orders and he made us feel valued and appreciated as guests. Our server, Angelica, was also amazing. Almost immediately after we sat down, she brought us our Ribby's Sizzin' steak sauce, toast, and the rest of our entrees. 10/10 would dine here again! Ps: If you come here, you MUST try the steak and lobster with mashed potatoes. Very delicious!

Good steak, Good Malibu chicken, and Good salad buffet! What more can you ask for? I love their cheese toast, too! The all you can eat salad buffet is reasonably priced for the amount of food selections, wings, spaghetti, tacos, soups and more. This location has a clean dining room, and typically very fresh food. The food stations are well stocked and maintained. The staff removes plates quickly and does a good job checking on the customers. Parking can be tricky on weekends but there is plenty of street parking.

Excellent service! I got the buffet and steak dinner with fried shrimps. Their toasted bread is so good! I'm planning to go back soon!

It is what it is right? I still enjoyed reliving the 80's by going back to Sizzler. Cheese bread was great and the salad bar was really good too. In fact, I'd only go back again for the salad bar. The staff that goes around cleaning up tables only does so when you leave, not when you're done with a round. So we ended up just putting in on the table next to us. Would be nice if they'd come around to clear the table every now and then.

We have always liked coming to Sizzler and this one is especially nice. It is always clean. The salad bar is always well stocked and taken care of. We like the salad bar and all of the choices. We shared the fried shrimp dinner and added the salad bar. Everything was delicious, however I have one complaint. Our entree arrived before we had a chance to get our salads.

Have not been here for a over a decade. I am happy I found a Sizzler location because there are a lot less now. Los Feliz location has about 40 tiny parking spots and rest are street parking (some are metered and some residential). This location opens at 10am Saturday morning. Service is pretty wonderful. I can still remember the toasted tasty cheese bread they always served. I opted for my fav the salad bar, $17.49 weekend price. Everything seems similar except missing mashed potatoes and gravy but replaced with other new items possibly the yams. Salad bar is still exactly the same. Tasty and lots to choose from. I like the spinach and adding my own twist to it. I loved the chicken noodle soup but the quality was not as I can remember. The little fried chickens are good. Clam chowder was worth while and don't forget t dip that cheese toast in the chowder too. Ice cream and banana pudding is exactly what I remembered. I had to slow down because this all you can eat hits you all at once. Thank you for the memories and great service Sizzler. Appreciate you for still being here. Will see you again.

Cheese bread - since I was a kid this bread has been #1

I remember going to Sizzler as a kid and really enjoying it. Unfortunately there aren't many sizzlers left around. I was drive in Atwater village and past by this one so I decided to check it out. Menu is classic as always. We orders the steak and lobster and steak and shrimp. For drinks we got mango lemonade and strawberry lemonade. They gave us complimentary cheese bread, which I absolutely love! I've loved their bread since I was a kid. It's literally the best. Then our dinner came out fairly quick. I had the lobster and steak. I am going to say this knowing that Sizzler is not a high end steak house, but there was a good portion of the lobster that was inedible. It had some weird black stuff on it, so I only ate a portion of it. The steak and mashed potatoes were decent as expected. The funny part is the cashier was asking if wanted the steak well done or medium well.. yikes. Medium is the most coked a steak should be lol so I stuck with medium. Service was good. The cashier and server were very kind. This is a cool sport o go to every now and then. Don't have high expectations. This is not some high end steak house. It's a normal dining restaurant that serves steak and some seafood. Overall, recommend.

    Good times...

Easy and somewhat affordable still. Food is plentiful and fresh. Service at this location is extremely fast. Ambiance is a little tired because of all the traffic running around. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

    Thanks, Vanna!!

Is the breakfast buffet still available for $11.99?

Yes, as of Sept. 3, 2023.

Can I just get the salad bar? And how much?

Yes, you can just get the salad bar. The price is about 14 dollars. It includes soups, and the taco bar, and desert bar. Drinks are additionally priced.

Are they asking for proof of vaccination at this time?

I called to ask about this at the Los Feliz/Atwater location on April 20th 2022, and the lady said they do require proof of vaccination as of this date.

What's is in the chicken wings? They are amazing .

Hostess was super friendly and welcoming. Somethings they can be not so much.. but she was just lovely The actual service was friendly. But like some other reviewers said.. maybe they were a bit over whelmed. I'd label the service and friendly functional. The waiter said we ordered the perfect amount of food. I'd say we ordered 1 too many items. Scallop crudo: a lovely starter. It came really quick after ordering. We were sitting at the cold bar so could see these getting prepped. Drizzled with ground pistachio and a citrus oil. Simple. But delicious. Over priced a bit at $23. Maybe. It was delicious. Who cares Peaches and farmers cheese. Wow o wow did this dish sing. It was just light and lovely. Just the way I love to eat THE cornbread. Could it live up to the HYPE?!? Yes. Oh yes. It borders on being under baked.. ours actually prolly was a bit. But it just makes it that much moist The outside is crispy. Inside moist. It was the single best bite I have had in years. I am in love All is good in the world with this cornbread Tomato Caesar. Our meal took a dip here after three unbelievably fantastic dishes. Were they fine. Yes. The toppings were so strong. I really couldn't taste tomato. While these look great, I'd say skip this dish. Order the green salad instead Next the steak : at $149. I was hoping for greatness. It mostly was. I took a the middle slice and it was great. Our bone marrow was a bit stingy. Only had enough for two slices. But it definitely enhances the steak! As we ate from the middle out. (Animals I know). It bacame apparent that everything but the middle slice was over cooked (ordered medium rare). This steak was cooked medium. So much so the outer 1/3s are dry. A bit disappointing for $150 steak. The server never solicited feedback on the food as it was served, even when we asked to box up half the steak. As they cleared plates.. we did get a "how was it,". Bit not a real check in as to how our food was The mashed potatoes were perfection. I did add some salt that was served with the steak to them as they were slightly....just slightly under seasoned. But still. These are pretty perfect mashed potatoes. We topped it off with cobbler (peach blackberry). It was great. And a small scoop of $9 ice cream .. cookies and cream. I'd skip this favor. Too much cookie. Not enough cream. Al in all. A really wonderful meal. The steak, even though it wasn't cooked perfectly . Was still delicious. That cornbread does live up to the hype. It is my best bite of the year for sure We have reservations again next week. I'm already looking forward to it!

It made it a little difficult to relax and have a conversation. Service: 3/5 The staff was friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed. The restaurant was packed, and it felt like they accepted more guests than they could comfortably handle. It took quite a while for someone to take our drink order, and the food also took a long time to arrive. Noise Level: Very loud Food: 4/5 The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing, and the food quality is there. That said, it feels like Dunsmoor has reached "hipster hype" status, where the buzz may be a little bigger than the overall experience. I'd definitely go back, though, because there are still several appetizers I'd like to try. What We Ordered: - Chicken Liver - 5/5: Absolutely delicious. The rich chicken liver paired perfectly with their incredible sourdough bread. - Green Chile Stew - 5/5: Outstanding. It was packed with large, tender chunks of pork, and the fresh flour tortillas were amazing. - Trout - 3/5: The biggest disappointment of the meal. While the fish was meaty and cooked well, it lacked flavor and felt very basic. - Famous Cornbread - 4/5: Good, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Final Thoughts: Dunsmoor serves some excellent food, especially the chicken liver and green chile stew, but the overall experience was held back by the long waits and noisy dining room. I can see why it's so popular, but I think some of the excitement is driven by hype. Even so, I'd come back to explore more of the menu.
