I only have here because it's been about 11 years since I've seen a Sizzlers and I wanted my teen kids to try the famous 'Malibu Chicken' that many of us grew up with in the '80's. It was really nice to see how the restaurant was bustling and how their salad bar is still around. My server was ok. Just took the receipt, brought bread and our order and never came back. Maybe it's because we pre-tipped him? *Not sure of other restaurants in LA but it's my first experience. When you pay via card for your order and add a tip, the cashier gives that tip in cash back to you give to your server. Weird. Anyways, I gave him our tip when the server took our order receipt.* Disappointed in the steak and Malibu dinner. The Med steak was cooked short of well and was tough. The Malibu chicken was eh. The cheese wasn't melted on top. Got the mustard mayo sauce but no more Sizzler's sauce?? And what ever happened to the Parmesan toast!?!? What I got was not even close to what it's supposed to be. Don't get me started on how it was plated. STAY AWAY!!!!! My friends and I went here for a friends birthday, and there were BUGS IN OUR FOOD, staff and management was incredibly rude, and about half of the salad bar was missing. We arrived and ordered, and the staff were dismissive and kept staring at us. We suspect that this was because we're young adults, but there was NO REASON for us to be constantly watched, as we were not causing any disturbances. My friend soon found that the Caesar salad had ladybugs in it, and asked the manager for a refund, as we didn't want to eat it anymore. The manager then tried placing the blame on us (for finding bugs) , and we had to fight for a refund. We had to talk to the rude manager for about half an hour to convince him to give us a refund, and he kept interrupting us. I do not remember his name but he was an older black man. We finally got our refunds, and he had the nerve to tell us that he hoped we would come back. WE WILL NOT! I only had the watermelon, pineapple, and honeydew melon, and right after we left, it made me very sick. Melon that is cut and sitting out for too long can harbor very dangerous bacteria! So insanely busy on the weekends! It was nice that this location is well ran. Buffet was constantly being refilled and because it was so busy, food was very fresh. Finally got me some HOT churros!! Jello here is consistently more gelatin than jello lol. Parking on the weekends can be horrendous. Limited Street parking. We ended up parking across the street in the Verizon plaza and walking over. Many, many years ago, I use to come to this Sizzler (and other Sizzlers) so much. Not sure why I stopped. I signed up to receive emails and occasionally, I get really good ones! This was a good one so I had to come get my free Malibu chicken. Still looks the same and still tastes good. The cheese toast still tastes good as well. There are many places to sit in this location, but I chose to take it to go and I got my order pretty quickly. My only complaint is that there is no waiting area. I had to awkwardly wait by the order area which gets pretty busy so I stood close to the dining area. I wish there was a place to sit. Sitting in my car wasn't an option since they don't bring the food to you nor do you know when your order is ready. The prices have definitely increased since I've last been here. Hubbie and I went there for steaks. I hadn't been to a Sizzler in decades. He had a larger steak than mine, but we both felt the same way about the experience: WAY too expensive for what you get. My small steak (about $18) was tiny and came with a nondescript piece of bread and two small sprigs of broccoli. It was the smallest dinner I've eaten in months. The plate looked forlorn. Sizzler has become a "steakhouse" that doesn't know how to cook steaks. Perhaps they should just go to the Golden Corral model -- buffet only. Ordered the ribeye ($27.49--the most expensive item on the menu) medium and it came out well done. Sent it back and it came out medium well to well done (in parts). Wanted to send back a second time, but by then my dining partner was nearly finished with their meal. Sizzler will not be an experience I repeat. The food in general was flavorless--steak needed salt as did the sides. How hard is it to put salt on something before/while cooking? Wasn't thrilled that they didn't offer a side salad as part of the side options--and they have a huge salad bar. Adding a small side salad instead of their boring, flavorless sides was $6.49. Not sure how this place is still in business. Some great (and better) American restaurant chains have gone the way of the dodo bird, but somehow, inexplicably, Sizzler survives. read more

There used to be a Sizzler less than a mile from where I live but they had closed down for business. Not a biggie though cuz I never been a regular. It's funny to think though that now I'm transitioning from being a meat lover to fish and veggie kind of diet, I somehow miss the salad bar. With that said, I come here to indulge on different salad options. For less than $12, I'm pretty satisfied with what the selections which consist of 3 kinds of soup, about 10 kinds of pre made salad, the make your own salad corner, taco bar plus fruits and sundae for dessert. My favorites are the clam chowder, cornbread, and garlic bread. The place is kept nice and clean. The waitresses are busy attending to the needs of diners. Someone is constantly checking and refilling all bowls and trays of food. One complaint though, please don't limit the garlic bread to one piece of toast. Make it unlimited! read more

Pleasantly surprised on 2 fronts about this Sizzler along Los Feliz in Atwater Village... The 1st being that it exists because most of the Sizzler locations in the area are no longer around. It's been a couple of years since the Burbank location has closed. The 2nd is how clean, new and bright the dining area and this location is. Honestly, I've come to not expect any updates as far as interiors go inside a Sizzler. But this location looks like it's had a refresh of sorts. I am glad to see it.... My parents go to this location from time to time so I see now why they choose to. I ordered the requisite steak and all you can eat fried shrimp ($19..99)... This is totally nostalgic for me. It was a total treat to have this as a child growing up. Sizzler was not a regular thing for us when I was younger but when we did go, it certainly came with fond memories. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium. It was medium plus in some parts and medium in others. It was fine. The steak was still good with the requisite A1 sauce. The shrimp was good... I managed to only eat the place that was served. I was too full for seconds or thirds. Love the cocktail sauce dipper for the shrimp. The lady got an 8oz tri-tip sirloin ($14.99) with steamed vegetables plus an AYCE salad bar (+$5.49)... She liked her order and the salad bar seemed well stocked and take care of. I know, its just Sizzler... But it was a GOOD Sizzler experience. We will for sure be back. Cheese bread toasted on both sides is always the pro-tip... I love Sizzler because it was part of my childhood. I still like this Sizzler, as it's right in my neighborhood, and am so glad it survived 2020. That being said, today I was disappointed to see they let in a dog. The women even put it in a booster seat at table level, as if it was a child. It was not a service dog, because it was one of those small, scruffy, yappy dogs. I politely complained and the manager was understanding and apologized. He said they legally cannot ask for proof when people claim an "emotional support" dog is a service dog. Personally, I'm tired of this increasing indulgence of pets as a substitute for children, or treating dogs as if they are children. They are not children. They are unsanitary animals, whose owners go to the buffet. If the dog was on the floor, it would have been better, as dog dander would have at least been lower. But no doubt it was floating in the air into other people's food. For all the worry about covid, you should be more concerned about dog dander in your food. read more

I have not eaten at a Sizzlers for years and decided to give it a try tonight. I ordered the ribs with unlimited salad bar. The gentleman who serve me the Entre was very nice. When I told him that the ribs was too salty (tasted like it had a ton of salt on it) he talked to the manager for me and got me a replacement - tri tip steak this time. The steak tasted less salty, but still very salty for my taste. So if you have high blood pressure or on a low sodium diet, this Sizzler is NOT the place to eat at. The salad bar was nice, with many different kinds of offerings, several different kinds of salad greens, and other kinds of chopped up vegetables (corn, beets, eggs, bacon bits, carrots, ...) They offered different kinds of salad dressings as well. There was also a soup bar with three different kinds of soups - chicken soup, clam chowder and what looked like minestrone. For dessert, I saw watermelon, fresh pineapple, and banana cream. The restaurant has nice ambience, comfortable seating. Don't sit in the booth if you prefer higher seat. I'm at one of the few remaining Sizzlers in Los Feliz. I got the salad bar and the ribs. The ribs are pretty decent, considering it's Sizzler, and the sauce is excellent. The atmosphere at 2 o'clock on a Saturday is mostly seniors hanging out--actually, I think Sizzler caters more to seniors. I'm OK with that. Parking is adequate, and the service is good. The waiters are nice, accommodating, and even cute, hehe. The mango lemonade is my favorite drink. The whole meal cost about $32, maybe a bit more. read more

This is by far the best Sizzler I've been to in the Los Angeles area. It's clean and well maintained. It can be crowded and sometimes the servers aren't attentive. The food was amazing! All kinds of cool stuff on the menu you could order. Bunch of space to sit, and cool booths! In my opinion my favorite is the salad bar... It has all kinds of food, like lettuce, carrots, lemon, and etc. They have very good spaghetti, and jello. The service is great. They check on you every couple of minutes, and the wait time for the food is not long at all. Behind the salad bar is also a drink and dessert station, it holds ice cream, the flavors are chocolate soft serve, vanilla soft serve, and then a mix of both of them. When my family first migrated to the U.S., they landed in the Atwater/Glendale/Eagle Rock area. I became familiar with a lot of the places in this side of town due to my childhood. One of my fondest memories of my childhood is when one of my uncles moved to the U.S. We celebrated at this very Sizzler, probably over 20+ years ago - and while most of the Sizzler's closed down, this very one is still standing today. I had granddaughter duties to drop of my grandma to my aunt's house in this side of town, and when I asked her what she wanted to eat she was unsure. We coincidentally passed by this restaurant and smiled at the thought of all the memories we had as a family growing up here, so we decided - why not relive those memories with a nice lunch with my Lola and I. It was lunch time, so it was poppin' with people (mostly elderly). Walking in felt like I was 9 years old again, looking up at my parents wondering what I can eat. The place has been updated, though the layout stayed the same. We ordered the lunch special, which was about $10. Food was okay, but for an AYCE lunch at that price, you really can't expect a five-star restaurant for that price. You'll find your standard salad bar (similar to Souplantation), with a few ready-made salads in case you weren't in the mood to make your own salad. They also have a hot bar where you can make tacos/nachos, grab some fries, and some chicken wings. This station is subpar, but again, not bad for the price. The best bang for your buck IMO is the cheese bread. It is the holy grail! Not quite as good as Clearman's, but reasonable for the price your paying for.
