We come here a lot and I often receive coupons but every time we try to use them there is one reason or another why we cant. Very Delicious and convenient place to grab a nice steak dinner. Always order the 8oz steak medium rare. They always cook the steak to perfection never over or under. I've gone to more expensive steak houses where they over cook it to just medium, I Iike it bloody but slightly cooked still. Cheese toast is bomb. Salad bar is always full with the freshest vegetables as well as a wide variety of vegetable. I love my vegetables!! Come here often so far nothing to complain about. Great food! read more

I have not been to Sizzler before, so this was my first time. The whole experience was "A-OK" since the price of the salad buffet and an appetizer was pretty decent. Basically, me and a family member entered and walked right up to the register to place our orders for two salad buffets, two lemonades, and a Chicken Breast/Broccoli appetizer. We were then informed that we could sit where we wanted to sit. The buffet consists of soups, salads, a small Mexican style selection, some dessert, and ice cream. Our entree and drinks were brought to us shortly. Overall, the salad was very good and the buffet, while good, could have around two more choices for the price paid. However, my minus two stars aren't for the food, but for the service and parking. Their parking lot is pretty small, and coming during lunch did not help much at all. Also, the waiter/server only came by two times and was nowhere to be seen during the intermittent periods. I had to flag the waiter down if I needed anything. I think this location should hire more waiters/waitresses. I have no gripes about their attitude; they were very polite. Anyways, those are the only two issues I experienced here at this Sizzler. This was the place where we went to dinner for everyone's birthday when we were young and ghetto. The place looks all fancy now (when you think about the way it looked before). I think anything in Montebello is probably the worst most undeveloped city in all of Los Angeles. So it gets 5 stars for 1) my memories of the place, 2) being in Montebello, 3) Looking nicer than before and 4) hmmmm.... no other reason is needed. This seriously isn't the place to go for a top of the line steak but at the end of the day, who cares. Can I say "Hip Hip Hooray!" So glad it is finally up and running. The place is updated and clean. The fanciest decor in a Sizzler that I've ever seen. They have mahogany walls now. They servers were attentive. They now give you a Big A$$ cup for your drinks so they didn't have to refill it. Even though they did ask. The workers were also cleaning and refilling the salad bar. Love their nachos! The cheese had a good taste, the chips were thick and crunchy, and the Guac was really good. I'm not Hispanic or anything but to my standard it was good. I had to knock off a star for not having clam chowder! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I thought was standard for every Sizzler. They had 4 types of soup and no chowder? That didn't fly with me. This was by far one of the cleanest Sizzler locations I've been to. The kid's all you can eat salad bar was perfect for my daughter. All you could eat salad bar its not what it sounds like it's more like all you could eat wings with carnitas and some menudo or beef stew or other soups. Not too many of these nowadays. This particular location is in Montebello and it gets crowded on the weekends. Came here on Sunday. We had a large group and had to wait a bit. We ended up sitting across from each other but it worked out. The manager was very patient with us and helped to expedite the ordering. The food came out quick and the quality was good for Sizzler. The salad bar was clean but had a few of the popular items like onion rings and wings in low supply. That was probably the only downside to ordering that option. Got to be one of my favorite lunch spots. Sizzler used to be a POS back in the day, but they've improved tremendously. What you'll like: 1) Any of the burgers $ 2) Cheesebread (free) 3) Endless Shrimp and steak $$ (shrimp is a little over breaded. Just rip it off and eat the pea sized thing. Its all you can eat!!) 4) Endless Salad $ This is probably what they're known for. They have a well stocked salad bar. If you want fried chicken, thats available. Pasta, Mac and Cheese. Brand new rebuilt from the ground up so everything is shiny and new. Their parking lot sucks though. I'd avoid it if I can. I think they put fresher food in the lunch buffet. I had their dinner buffet tonight and all the hot food items looked like they were there since lunch. :( When I've had lunch everything was fresh (well, as fresh as a buffet gets). Their soft tortillas are never soft though. I always hope they're not hard as a rock even though they're in their little plastic baggies. No more dinner rolls. Just cheese toast. :( read more

The buffet is awesome! They have fresh salad and many fresh ingredients. There is also a taco/nacho bar, chicken wings, spaghetti, and various soups of the day. Another cool thing is the ice cream machine. Don't expect too much. Just decent food at a decent price. They also have friendly and good service. Very pleasant service. The only complaint I have is that the hot food isn't. I always go for the salad bar. I was there for an early lunch this week, about 11:30 AM so any hot food should have been still warm. There was hardly anytime for it to cool down. I served myself a plate of spaghetti. The pasta was stone cold, I hoped at least the sauce with meatballs would be warm, but no it was also cold. To me virtually inedible. I asked my server to pop it in the microwave, which he promptly did. But when he brought it back the food was just as cold as before. The cheese I spread on top of the spaghetti was half melted, so I could tell he did microwave the dish for me. I think tamales would be a nice addition to that section of the salad bar. Something that is filling, easy to serve yourself and enjoy. Especially appropriate in heavily Chicano/Mexican American Montebello. read more

Don't know what happened but this Sizzler went downhill . Spend $28.95 for steak and shrimp skewers plus side salad. The shrimp was old and smelled foul. It ruined my meal with the smell. We were a party of six and the steaks were not cooked well. The waiter was given too many tables to service everyone adequately. He tried to give me "fruit" for the shrimp issue , but I refused and politely asked for the fried shrimp to replace it that way at least my co-workers can maybe enjoy it. I was not expecting much from Sizzlers since I've been to one before. But I had to admit, this one is the best Sizzlers I had ever ate at!! All the workers there are so nice and came around a lot to take away our plates to give us new ones. The endless salad bar was amazing as well! It's not your typical salad bar that consists of just salad, fruits and side dishes. There were also other ones such as onion rings, chicken wings, make your own nachos/tacos with meat, etc. The only downside is that the parking lot is small. came for a cousins sizzler event and was not disappointed. our usual sizzler in alhambra closed so we yelp searched the coolest sizzler around. montebello had a solid 4 stars, so off we went on an early sunday evening. we arrived around 5pm and our party of 11 was quickly seated. beware - even at 5pm, the line is pretty hefty. the majority of us ordered the endless salad bar with entrees (in my opinion, the best bang for your buck). the salad bar is legit, you, of course, get salad, chicken wings, onion rings, taco bar (meat, guac, onions, salsas, hard and soft tacos), mac and cheese, spaghetti, a variety of soups (chunky chicken noodle, menudo, and clam chowder the night we went), desserts, soft serve ice cream, fresh cut fruits, and im sure theres more but i'm blanking right now. oh and cheesy bread! yum! everything is hot and taste good. would def recommend. -0.5 star because the raspberry lemonade was waaay too sweet. felt like 75% syrup and 25% lemonade. no thanks. -0.5 star because the parking situation is ridiculous. theres like 30 spots available and the entire time we were here, there was a line. parking is inadequate. read more

The minute we walked though the door we were greeted by Ashlee who was very pleasant and had a great personality. Ashlee explained the new menu, took our order and helped us to our table. If I could give this place no stars I would. The MANAGER Imelda has one of the worse representations of customer service skills that's I've experienced. New to Sizzler and didn't understand how there structure works. She was at our table and just ignored us. Instead of breaking it down and explaining it to us, she was talking shit to one of her servers in front of me and complaining to her of why we were at the salad bar. Unbeknown to us that it's an extra charge. No problem we can pay for that, instead of having the proper manner of letting us know at our table, she's going off on one her servers. I'm a manager myself and whenever I have a confused customer I do the most in my power to help the customer understand and make sure he/she has a premier experience. How she got to become a manager baffles me. Not friendly and no leadership skills at all. Again, server was amazing and helped us through our confusion. Imelda the manager needs to be demoted to HOST. Sizzler should do a better job on who they choose to represent their franchise. read more
