Although young and only her second job at Sizzler's, she was everything wanted in a waitress or server. Haley is friendly, professional. efficient, smiling, courteous, responsive, and a hard worker. We drive from Valley Center to Oceanside for a good steak. They hit the mark every time. The way they cook the meat, even their veggies are cooked to perfection! The staff is always nice. We like to slow ourselves down when we come to sizzler so we ask for them to hold our meal until we get our salads done. They are always amiable.. highly recommended! read more

What an amazing experience Shiloh Church had this month with the Sizzler staff! Manager Shiloh and server Leo went above and beyond to make sure our visit was successful. My husband and I brought our Sunday School group of about 25-30 people here for a family friendly social experience. They were anticipating our arrival and made everything smooth and easy from start to finish. Everyone in our group was happy and with so many particular food desires we couldn't go wrong with the endless salad bar and all the other menu choices. We will definitely return again! for my mother-in-law's birthday, I was dragged to a family lunch at SIZZLER under threats of physical violence. my protests which included everything you'd expect in a temper tantrum from a four-year-old were futile. resigned to choosing between going SIZZLER and sleeping on the couch for the rest of my natural life, I came up with a plan: order a small steak to bring home for the dogs and fill up at the salad bar. well thought out. well executed. epic fail. everybody else was busy chatting and I got funneled to the front of the line. doing a better job of sticking to my plan than I did sticking to my guns, I ordered a small steak and a salad bar. not a single person in the party, and my wife has four siblings there with their spouses, ordered an entree including my mother-in-law. in an act of either supreme heroism or supreme cowardice (I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide) three people, including my wife, did not even order food. my sense of betrayal was so profound, I came within a hair's width of crying openly before even sitting down. the salad bar was awful. except for the soft-serve ice cream, the kindest thing I could say about it is that it made me feel nostalgic for Soup Plantation. I have not been to a SIZZLER in thirty-one years, and this experience did not even live up to my lowly expectations. not a single, local Yelp friend has posted a review for this place. are they all smarter and more single than me or could they just not find the words to capture the true essence of such a terrible experience? it was a Saturday morning and the place was packed. This a is great spot. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. They always play good music. Not loud like other places where you can't even have a conversation. It is always clean. Everywhere. It is timely. The salad bar always fresh. All the staff was great. From the moment I walked in to the time I left. I had Hugo as the server where I sat. He is exemplary. Neatly attired and very polite. He greeted me on arrival when I sat down. I never asked for anything to be picked up. My drink order was timely. He treated everyone with care. Bad service from Zully left me with a horrible experience. I was there with my wife and two kids. we ordered 4 AYCE salad bars on top of a steak meal That's 5 meals for a family of 4. This disappointment came when Zully came and said her and her manager are seeing that we're "sharing" food. Ok so I only frequent Sizzler's during lunch for The All You Can Eat Salad Bar since Soup Plantation closed down...the salad bar and of course for Leo! Leo greets you like this is a Cheers joint! Ha ha ha He remembers you, remembers your favorites, etc.. His service is phenomenal! Not in the annoying type of way but in a manner in which is in perfect session timing...refilling drinks, another clean utensil, more napkins, extra bread, etc. Always with a smile and a welcome friendly demeanor! The salad bar is clean. I feel like there's a service person or two dedicated to just the salad bar, monitoring if anything needs refilling or if the counter needs to be wiped down/cleaned off. My wife and I have not been to a Sizzler restaurant in decades. We decided to give it a go. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. The steak was a little tough, but okay. (We generally prefer Texas Roadhouse) My wife and I talked about the meal and we decided that we still prefer Texas Roadhouse for steaks, but if you want an endless salad ($18.99) Sizzler would fit the bill better.
