I enjoyed the food, we got a beef pepper rice, curry beef udon, and cheese fries. I liked the beef pepper rice and thought the curry udon was ok. I would stick to their rice options next time. There were a lot of cheese fries which was nice but it's definitely a lot for 2 people. Everyone was really nice and I want to come back to try more of their rice options!

Great food, always love their sizzling plates! Food arrived quick, and hot and sizzling (of course!). Walked in for lunch on a weekday and there were only a few other customers. Lots of booths and seating, and service was good. You order on your phone, but the waiter was very friendly when bringing us our food! We also had some customizations when ordering our dishes and they came out perfect. Will definitely be back, one of my fav places!

I tried Sizzling Lunch during weekend lunch hour awhile back, and it was pretty packed with a wait. The ordering process was straightforward and done by yourself at the table, and food arrived quickly. They specialize in lunches served on a grill platter, with an assortment of meat, rice, and toppings. You have to let the meats grill for a bit before mixing and eating. They have various sauces at the table to add to the platter so you can personalize, which I liked. They also served sugarcane juice (from Sugar Mama when I visited, not sure if that's changed), which helps make the meal lighter and more refreshing.

Solid place for a late lunch. I liked the garlic butter and that you can add your own amount of garlic shoyu and teriyaki sauce as you mix it in. Rice gets crispy at the bottom which is great. Service was efficient and friendly

My kind of a place and I walked in ready to fall in love but the food fell a tad bit short of my expectations. We got chicken katsu curry and chicken udon with garlic butter on the side. **chicken udon 3/5 I don't know if it's because I requested for the garlic butter on the side but the dish just fell flat and was super dry. Looks like garlic butter was not just the star ingredient but also the main source of flavor. **chicken katsu curry 3/5 The rice got extremely dry due to the hot plate, the chicken had a very thick and crisp coating. Even with the curry sauce the dish felt dry and difficult to eat. For close to $20 a plate, the quantities are definitely less.

I ordered the tonkatsu curry, it was good. The pork cutlet was crispy but inside was bit chewy . The curry sauce was rich, savory,.

Came here for a date night with my partner, and it was sooo good! He had the chicken katsu with curry, while I had the beef udon. The curry that comes with the chicken katsu is pretty good, and the chicken is juicy. The beef udon (my all time favorite) is very flavorful. The tables also have a variety of condiments to enhance the flavor! The service is quite good. We were kindly greeted, and was seated quickly. The only downside was that you have to order on your phone by scanning a QR code, and my partner and I had to wait quite a bit due to the poor phone service in the area. Other than that, was a great time!

Always a great place to eat with friends. The serving sizes are well worth the price and it's fun to have this sizzling plate experience. I actually come here pretty often because it's close to my church and has great food. The interior is big but sometimes there's a wait because it's popular, although it's never been a long wait. Can't wait to come back!

Sizzling lunch has addictive food, mostly because of the large amount of butter, garlic and salt. The food is fresh and flavorful and served very quickly. The service is fast and friendly. I usually get the garlic pepper rice or noodles. I often get the chicken karaage or the cold tofu. All of these are large portions and taste great. I did get the curry chicken karaage rice recently but I didn't think that was very good. Overall, the place is clean and comfortable. There's almost never a line to get in. Your clothes and hair will stink after going here but it's worth it.

We dropped by on a Saturday around 6 PM, and the place was about 70% full. With just one server managing the floor, we were impressed by his patience and clear explanation of how sizzling plates work (great for first-timers!). Ordering via the QR code was smooth, though a gentle reminder to hit "submit" would've saved a moment of doubt. When the food arrived--still crackling on the plate--it definitely made a great first impression. That said, for nearly $20 a dish, the portions felt on the lighter side, and the flavor needed a bit of DIY seasoning. If you're into hot, sizzling dishes and a casual experience, this place delivers a solid evening out.

Came here to try some sizzling rice and was pleasantly surprised. The dining room was clean and no waiting for a table. There were plenty of parking spaces outside. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the garlic beef rice and the beef udon sizzling plate. Both are very good. The beef was soft and tender and the garlic butter adds to the intense flavor. However, I highly recommend adding the teriyaki and shoyu sauce. The hot sizzling plate infuses all the flavors together and forms a crust on the rice. Both dishes were very tasty. However, the portions were kinda small for what they charge. More meat would be nice. Also, the dining room is very cold. Every customer was wearing their coats while dining.

The food was good, the place was clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. I was told i cook out my food at the table. The protein came out half-cooked; i finished the process with the sizzling plate. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and absolutely loved it. The burnt rice added an extra layer of flavor. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items.

While Clover Bakery tends to have longer lines, I personally have never run into a scenario where Fugetsu is packed. There is no seating, by the way, and parking can get a little hectic because of the nature of this plaza. I will say that over the years, Fugetsu has really stocked up on its selection and range of food. When you first enter, they have their stock of okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and generous bentos. As you turn the corner, they have sashimi, onigiri, dons, and more. Sometimes I get decision paralysis, but in a good way. That being said, whenever I am having a picnic, this is the first spot I think of when I want to stock up for my friends and me. What is cool about this place, too, is that half of the store is dedicated to food, while the second half has merch, trinkets, and dinnerware. They carry Sonny Angels, Smiskis, loads of Miffy items, some Sanrio, and if you're a Sylvanian Families collector like me, you'll really enjoy it here. The quality of the meat is honestly on another level -- super tender, rich, and full of flavor. You can really tell they focus on premium cuts and attention to detail. Service was also top-notch. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and made great recommendations without being pushy. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the overall experience -- food, ambiance, and service -- it feels worth it. If you're in the Bay Area and looking for a high-end steakhouse, this spot should absolutely be on your list.

Paired with the horse radish and the au jus, it was the perfect combination for bringing out the maximum flavors of the meat. Caesar salad- Can never miss! Perfectly savory and really opens up your appetite when you're hungry for what's to come. Popcorn crab- I liked this dish the most. The crab was perfectly fried and was accompanied with an extremely creamy aioli that I can still taste. The batter was nice and light and the chunks of crab were huge and sweet. You don't even need a sauce you can just pop it in your mouth on its own and it'll still be delicious!

The benches were not too deep and didn't cut into the back of my legs like most booths. Nice decor and music was a good accent without being over powering. It wasn't exactly quiet but you could hear conversations at your table. We had kaarage, an american waygu dish, miso soup, and so mich deliciousness (see photos). I forgot to take pictures until after we had started eating...I was too distracted by the gorgeous plating and the delicious food. Staff was very helpful and kind. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Thanks for our dinner tonight!

Let's start off with a positive. I love one dish in particular, it is the Miso Katsu! The katsu is…read morecrispy and the miso sauce is packed with flavor. The tenderness of the pork is really nice too, especially paired with the onsen egg and rice. My only gripe is the service and cleanliness is really lacking and disappointing. The staff are NOT attentive, no one asks how your meal is, and just asking for a refill of water takes what seems like forever. When they still had the tablets at the table, I remember ringing for a waiter/waitress to bring my mother a takeout container and I could hear the bell ringing in the kitchen. It was very quickly shut off, a sign that maybe someone would come shortly, but nope. I waited for 5-7 minutes and rang a second time and AGAIN they quickly turned it off with no one coming. I was tempted to grab the to-go box myself, but didn't want to risk being told not to do that and just wait for an employee... Finally, after what felt like at least 10-12 minutes, someone gave us a box! As for the cleanliness, when I was served my meal once, there was old food still stuck to my tray. While it was only the tray the dishes were served on, it made me question how clean the other dinnerware was. So, while I love the Miso Katsu, the past few experiences do not make this dish worth revisiting Yayoi. Honestly, the service has been so sub-par that I really don't know why I bothered coming back. Every time I go, I wonder how disappointing the service is going to be. So, try it if you must, but be proactive in making sure your server is attentive!
