I think they might be better enjoyed in person like I had the first time because the rice had no sear or crisp on it like it did before. The spice level I'd consider a medium, I liked it. My biggest issue and the reason for my rating was the beef...it was inedible. I sat and picked through all of it trying to find a piece that was chewable and it all wasn't. I eventually noticed it had also been cut with the grain, which definitely contributed to the negatives. It was a grainy like texture almost but then had these like...unchewable strings going through them. Idk what they are called but I gagged and just gave up trying to eat it. It's a bummer because they actually give a really good portion size of the beef. After reading other reviews on DoorDash I guess it's hit or miss when ordering from this place. You can order straight from the Ipad at your table and it makes everything so convenient. Every time I come here, I always order the same two dishes --the beef udon and takoyaki--and I never get tired of them. The beef is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth, while the takoyaki, though not the most flavorful compared to other places, still hits the spot with its crispy shell and soft inside. So excited that this location finally reopened after dealing with structural issues for the longest time! The table arrangement is a little different now, but overall still the same vibes. Upon being seated, you place your order on a tablet located at each table. When you pay at the end of your meal, you now have to go up to the counter at the front. You can tell they got new sizzling plates because they're still shiny and smooth! They seem to retain the heat extremely well, as my food was still super hot even by the last few bites of my meal. For the most part, the food still tastes the same. I usually get the Curry Beef Udon or Curry Beef Rice. The Curry Beef Rice now has cheese on top. Note: They have a check-in offer on their Yelp page, but when I tried to redeem it, they denied me and said that it hasn't been available for months...seems like something they should work on having removed on their page. They also offer Sugar Mama sugarcane drinks now. I got the Dragon Fruit sugar cane drink, but honestly, I wasn't really impressed with it. Service was great - we went as a large group and they did their best to accommodate us. However our group did have to sit in separate tables. They were also very kind to bring us extra plates and a knife for the cake that we brought since we were celebrating a birthday. The only reason for the 3 star review is that the AC was broken!! We went during a heat wave where it was over 90 degrees out and we assumed sizzling lunch would have AC, but we found out it was broken after asking the employee. The poor employees looked like they were so hot too. Management please fix the AC! It was so hard to eat the sizzling plates in 90+ degree weather given the hot nature of the food and many of us could not finish our meals due to how hot it was.
