The initial scheduling process was frustrating. However, after attempting for a couple weeks Angela called to schedule me. After the visit, she offered to be contacted directly with any future inquiries. I'm glad Angela was able to see me a lil after I came in. It is an urgent care facility with a very small lobby. I've done microdermabrasion facials but never a peel. Angela was informative pre-treating and during. Explaining what every product was and what it did. I arrived at 8:45 am and was welcomed by receptionist and informed her that this was my first time ever having microneedling. She reassured me that I made a great decision. I was then taken into a room for pictures of my skin. After the pictures I was taken to the procedure room and did my medical assessment by zoom with the physician assistant. After being cleared the receptionist brought me a bottle water and advised me that Perla had just arrived and she would be in momentarily to go over everything. I waited less than 5 minutes and Perla came in and we had a great conversation about what I wanted to achieve with my skin and my problem areas. Perla then put numbing cream on my face and advised that she would leave it on for 15 minutes. I was really impressed because every question I had about the process she answered and explained everything step by step. After the numbing cream she cleaned my face and put on an astringent and began microneedling. I thought it was going to be painful and that I was going to bleed. It actually tickles in some areas of the face and neck but I did have a little discomfort on the forehead and nose area. After it was over Perla did show me the areas that I had some redness but stated that would go away within a few days. Perla also advised me to use tinted sunscreen and gave me her recommendations on how to care for my skin. I immediately seen a difference and will be scheduling another appointment in 6 weeks for another session. I was really satisfied and highly impressed! Oh! I almost forgot after my service was over I was trying to redeem my Groupon deal and the Groupon site was having problems. I tried to access it several times and the receptionist tried on her end to access the site and nothing was happening. After 20 minutes the receptionist inquired if I would allow her to stay logged into my Groupon and she would take care of it and call me once the payment cleared. I felt bad for leaving unsure about the payment because I had never used Groupon and wanted to make sure that the business was paid for my services. About 10 minutes after I left I received a call from the receptionist that the website was up and running and she was able to redeem the Groupon payment. The nurse who did the laser was very nice, but I realized that she misunderstood what areas I wanted done, and she didn't do an area I'd wanted. At the time, I thought maybe that area wasn't included, but then I researched, and it should've been. I figured I'd let them know, go back, and get it done. Makes sense, right? Not so much. I emailed them the day after my Brazilian and basically said there seemed to be a miscommunication and I was hoping to get the treatment that was missed. I got back a super rude email back that wasn't helpful at all and totally insulting. All I wanted was to go back and get the treatment I'd paid for. They told me I needed to either come in or send a photo, but why would I send a photo of my hoohoo to some person who was already hella rude to me? So I could see my junk show up online somewhere? Pass. I went back and forth with them via email for several weeks and it was ridiculous! I finally got an appointment to go in, and they told me to leave the area unshaved, which I did. When I went in, I was scheduled with the head nurse, who clearly hadn't read the email chain. She started basically investigating how many times I'd gotten a Brazilian and her demeanor was argumentative. I was taken aback because I didn't expect this to be such a huge deal. She asked me if I'd shaved the area, and I said no, but I forgot to mention that Sev had advised me not to. She made told me she wasn't going to do a "courtesy" treatment and sent me on my way, baffled by such horrible treatment. I PAID for treatment I didn't get! And drove to La Jolla, prayed to Omar the Parking God for help (he answered, thankfully), and was confronted by someone who just seemed to be kind of power tripping OVER HAIR REMOVAL. WTH?! So I'll finish out my upper leg package with Sev La Jolla, and then I'll go to another location and get anything else done because why wouldn't I want to deal with this unprofessional and rude behavior again? Sev's pricing structure is great, and all the other treatment I'd gotten was lovely, but this was a dealbreaker for me.
