a person slicing up a large roast duck

Our favorite spot for roasted pork and duck. It is a family ran establishment and they are always friendly and patient with us whether we order 1lb or a whole pig. I believe they have better pricing as well compared to others in the area. Their location is a little hidden and you'd kinda have to go out your way but I always feel it's worth it. Over the years their menu has also become very limited but we've always only ordered the roasted pork and duck. Maybe once or twice, the chicken. The combo plates are also very good. A substantial portion of fresh food. Nothing processed. And for a great price!

I have been going to this place for a lonnnng time. The meats are good and flavorful. I always get the roasted duck from them. The prices are relatively reasonable compared to other places. For example, I paid $13 + tax on the 2 meat with rice plate. It's very hard to find anything under $15 nowadays... and it was delicious!

I came to Sky BBQ after reading reviews on Yelp. It's located inside the supermarket on the leftish side, where the food court and supermarket meet. They accept credit card only for purchases above $10. I ended up ordering a pound of roast pork, a whole duck, and whole soy sauce chicken. Service was friendly and they quickly chopped up my items. Prices weren't too expensive. I probably spent around $40 total, which ended up giving me at least 10 meals worth. The skin on the pork was the perfect amount of crispy and somehow still managed to retain its crispiness after reheating it the next day. The duck and chicken were both flavorful and moist. The accompanying sauce (my gf said it was some kind of plum sauce) was also tasty and I ended up using the leftover in other meals I made. I would definitely come here again for more of their roasted goodness :)

Char siu & soy sauce chicken

This place is located inside of the ASSI supermarket on Pleasant Hill Road (off of exit 104). located all the way on the far left hand side, but within the supermarket itself. They have the criteria to be a real Chinese food place, as they have the hanging char siu (Roast pork), Siu yuk (Roast Pig), peking duck, as well as soy sauce chicken. The 'bodega' is quite small, and has a kitchen in the back, however the real good food is the one that is hanging in the window. The prices are reasonable, and has an "A" rating...(which doesn't mean much to me, especially coming from NY where ratings meant nada! 2 meats, veggies over rice is around $8.00 if you have more than 3 people, i would recommend ordering ala carte, as you will get more for your money. There is a small sit down area outside of the supermarket, where there is a small food court.

I was a huge fan of this place when it was strictly Japanese...and was quite bummed when I heard…read morethey changed this restaurant from Japanese to Asian fusion. In any case, I finally decided to check out the place for dinner. Well, right away, I saw that they added more tables. Even with more tables, the restaurant still seemed pretty spacious. I've always loved the spaciousness of this place...but I find the layout a bit awkward. Unless you come with a group of 4, you'll most likely be seated in the open area...where there's just this utter lack of privacy. So yeah, as nice as this place is, there's a certain lack of comfort and coziness? I also noticed that their menu/menus looked quite different. Initially I was handed just this Korean-Chinese menu...and when I asked if they had Bento Boxes, they handed me the Japanese menu, but I didn't see any sushi rolls on the menu (??). I should have asked, but I just let that go. In retrospect, I really regret not asking. But then again, I wonder why they didn't hand out ALL the menus right off the bat? Who knows...Maybe they had a third menu with a list of sushi rolls?? ANYWAY, I ended up ordering their Bulgogi Bento, which turned out to be quite substantial in portion, and well presented. The thing I didn't like was the bland, undercooked Bulgogi, with excessive fat. I've been getting served a lot of Bulgogi like this lately around town..and it has somewhat turned me off to Bulgogi in general. I personally prefer a much better cooked Bulgogi, with less fat. I enjoyed the Japchae, as well as the fried sides, but frankly, all the foods were all lacking in full Korean flavor. Some of the sides in the bento just seemed off...like these lackluster Avocado Sushi Rolls and a generic Salad (??). I felt that for the 32-dollar pricing, the sides should have been much better. This bento also came with Egg Drop Soup...but again, too bland. Guess I should have poured some soy sauce. As usual, the service was really good though. They even added this complimentary post-meal drink...this might have been the best part of my entire meal? I still think this is a really nice restaurant, with a lot to offer. I just didn't like how it got rid of many of its stellar Japanese menu items. Also, unfortunately, I just didn't like what I ordered. Again, the Bulgogi was too mild and too fatty...and all the foods in the Bento tasted a bit too bland. If I was to return, I would definitely not repeat the Bulgogi Bento. If they really don't have any sushi rolls, guess I'd order something Chinese?

Can we talk about the prices?!?…read more Wow! I have never had a Banh Mi before and decided it was time to change that. I had to order through Uber Eats and the options were endless. I had which tea two times in the last week :) I was so impressed with the pricing. I still am. How can you get this much food for $11? When I first ordered I was thinking I would receive a little sandwich but this sandwich was PACKED! The combo is $11 with anyyyy drink! That's amazing. The food is delicious and fresh- considering I couldn't eat this on the spot. I tried the Vegan option and the beef Bulgogi! Both were great. FINAL VERDICT: I will definitely be back and hopefully in person. It gives a nice twist to a regular sandwich and I'm glad I finally tried one!

Service was efficient. We got the Thịt Heo Nướng and Banana Coffee. The Banana Coffee tasted really good on the first sip. You can definitely taste the banana. Toward the end of the drink, it started tasting more like a strong coffee. I tried a small bite of the Thịt Heo Nướng and it tasted good even though I am not a fan of char grilled pork as the meat in my banh mi. My boyfriend was a big fan of the banh mi, though. I would come back here to try other items on their menu! I usually get banh mi in Doraville/Chamblee since there is a lot of good Vietnamese food, so it is nice to have this option in Duluth.

The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the General's chicken, brussel sprouts, Elf Fuego sushi roll, and the salmon carpaccio. Our waiter, Zacqui, was attentive without hovering. He checked on us at just the right times while giving us plenty of space to enjoy a wonderful date night. We sat at one of the two-top tables with swivel chairs overlooking the chefs making dumplings, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Not to the point anyone waited a long time for a correction and with a party as large as ours I think they did a great job. The food was good. We were served three appetizers [chopped salad, bourbon glazed brussels, seafood fondue] family style. I don't eat pork so I loved that the bacon was on the side for the brussels, which were delicious, and the chopped salad was equally as good. I don't eat shellfish either so I didn't try the fondue, but everyone around me who did, enjoyed it. The entree I had at the restaurant was the pan seared chicken which was pretty good although it could have used a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon. I also had the cacio e pepe to go and it may have been my favorite thing I've had thus far from here. I did not order any beverages other than water, but next time I think I'll try a cocktail as they looked tasty. I live an hour plus away from this location so I probably won't be returning soon, but if in the area again I would definitely eat here again.
