At the same time, please stop telling customers that they're buying a "pint" of ice cream when they're really buying about a cup of ice cream. Label it something else, "Standard," "Regular," "Large" (compared to the pops), or whatever. It was very busy when we got there, but they had three employees working between the walk-up window and the inside counter, so the line kept moving. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, which made it easy for our group to find places to sit and enjoy our ice cream. Even with the crowd, the staff did a good job keeping up with the orders and everything moved along efficiently. If you're looking for a classic spot to grab some ice cream on a warm evening, Gronsky's is definitely worth a stop.

Wow! Anyone who visited this place before they reopened as the Sky Cafe will be surprised. They renovated almost everything! The kitchen is all brand new. There is now counter-style seating, and the dining area has been all updated. It has big windows that overlook the runway at Sky Manor Airport. It's really fun to sit and enjoy the view of the airplanes as they are taking off and landing. The food is excellent. I've had the opportunity to have both breakfast and lunch there (my job has me driving past that way frequently). Not only does the food taste great, but they give you generous portions. On my last visit I tried "The Aviator" skillet breakfast. It looked so good I had to take a picture. It was very hot when it came out of the kitchen and it was difficult to wait for it to cool down before I took my first bite. I was not disappointed at all. It was very tasty. A few days before I was there and tried the Avocado BLT for breakfast (fried eggs, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato). It was huge! They serve it on a ciabatta roll, which was very fresh and crispy. On another visit for lunch I tried the curry chicken salad. I'm not big on curry, but the guy sitting next to me had ordered it and he was telling me how good it was. It was great! Up in the sky of culinary experiences, Sky Cafe soared with excellence in flavor and taste, a spread worthy of a top-tier flight. The food, a symphony of flavors that took my taste buds on a thrilling aerial adventure, left me delightfully satiated. As I savored the dishes, the dance of planes on the tarmac below provided an entertaining aerial display that complemented the dining experience. Yet, even under these clear skies, there was a turbulence that marred the flight. Alas, our waitress seemed to have the demeanor of an unexpected crosswind, her attitude aloof and distant, as if my presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued passenger. Absolutely fantastic establishment. I came in with my wife the other day and we had a great meal. We came for breakfast and I ordered the Avocado Benedict while my wife ordered an omelet. We were both really impressed with the quality of the food, we found out they use local farm organic eggs which was a huge plus for me. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and personable. Im kind of upset that I haven't been to this place sooner. Also note, we were told that on weekends it gets really busy here especially after 10am, so we made sure for our first visit to come on a weekday. Really excited to come back here and we found out that this is the same owner who owns the Frenchtown cafe which was one of our favorite lunch spots as well! Cannot recommend this place enough! The view is fantastic. The menu goes on for miles, and when the food arrives it outshines even the view. In the background you can hear pilots, and passengers talk about their recent flights. The wait staff is friendly and effecient, and you can stroll about the airport after your meal. Weekends are hectic and often crowded, with many planes and helicopters coming and going just outside the wide windows. The runway and taxiways are close enough to see the pilots during take-offs and landings. Any wait you experience is worthwhile. This is not a fast food restaurant with pre-microwaved packages. Everything is cooked as if in your own kitchen, but better. It's too bad they don't serve dinners. read more

Just had a pleasant lunch at Sky Cafe in Pittstown, NJ. The location is ideal for watching planes take off and land, adding an interesting backdrop to the meal. We tried the Venetian Panini, featuring eggplant, Di Parma prosciutto, sundried tomato pesto, and smoked mozzarella on a French baguette. The flavors blended nicely, making for a satisfying bite. The Lime Panini, filled with chicken, guacamole, Mexican rajas, and queso blanco, was equally enjoyable, bringing a fresh and zesty taste to the table. We've been here a few times for breakfast and it's been fantastic each time. If it's crowded and you have to wait a bit they do a great job of moving people through so you won't be waiting long. The omelets are incredible (my wife is incredibly picky about how the omelet is finished and she will eat an omelet here) and the pancakes are perfect. The service is quick and attentive. The best thing about the restaurant in my mind is how creative the kitchen is at putting different ingredients together onto a plate that makes them so different from any other breakfast place. Very good food with excellent food at fair prices, check out the daily specials. The staff is very professional and the location is excellent with planes flying in and out. However, my recent Sunday visit was a vaguely "meh" experience due to some disappointing service. We found out the hard way -- only after being seated, handed menus, and perusing our options -- that they strictly observe their "Breakfast Only" rule on Sundays. I was really craving a sandwich (having already eaten eggs earlier in the day), but when I asked for an accommodation, I got a blunt "No, we can't do that. We only serve breakfast on Sunday." I mentioned I was lactose-intolerant and almost all of the breakfast options (omelets, breakfast burger, etc.) were made with milk or cheese, but our server said the kitchen doesn't like making substitutions. This felt especially draconian considering there was only one other party seated in the restaurant at the time. To make matters worse, once I settled on a two-egg breakfast platter, the server informed me they were out of my first two meat preferences. My dining companion's omelete was served without key ingredients she added (and we were probably charged for). Our server never dropped off a check, so I walked up to the counter to pay after finishing our meal. Our server seemed genuinely surprised when I handed her enough cash to cover what she said our total was.. plus a ~20% tip (which I paid in spite of the service issues because I'm not a barbarian). The food itself was alright once it arrived, but the service just felt disjointed and "off" the entire time. It's a decent enough spot for the basics, but between the total lack of flexibility and the service hiccups, I'll say 2.5 stars rounded down to 2 stars and definitely won't try again next time I'm in Flemington. PRO TIP: They don't offer complimentary tap water with your meal, but they are happy to sell you a 16 oz plastic bottle of Poland Spring.

Nice menu with creative interesting choices. My husband enjoyed an egg platter with eggs made the way he wanted, country ham, & excellent bread that was grilled instead of toasted. Eggs taste like they are from a local farm as well as the ham - score! I enjoyed a frittata with a side salad - excellent. They also have a nice bakery section with interesting enticing things to enjoy. Be sure to check this place out when in the area!
