Frustrating! I get all of us need to cut corners where we can, but this was ridicules! I hit the drive thru and got two 4 ways and two coneys. We were in a hurry and left once the food was received. While on the road my passengers opened to bags to find the food had VERY little chili, no utensils, napkins, crackers or hot sauce..... the drive thru window was pasted with signs saying something like they would charge for crackers, one packet of hot sauce, ect.... I spent $25 and couldn't eat it, we were on the highway heading out.... Are crackers, napkins and forks the hill you want to die on? I can't believe this saved enough to make a difference.... There are too many options for Skyline, I won't be back! read more

Over a decade ago I used to watch Food Network and Travel Channel food shows all the time, and that's how I learned about the Cincinnati chili. I finally made it to Cincinnati on a random weekend trip from Kentucky and knew I had to stop somehwre to try the famous dish. I tried ordering a small size of the Cincinnati chili since I just wanted to try it but not fully commit to it. However, my waitress said that small was like a kid's size. So I got suckered into ordering a medium size, which I thought was a big portion for two people. But hey, I'm not from the area so I see portion sizes differently from the locals there. The dish tasted like what I was expected, and there wasn't any wow factor. The amount of shredded cheese is unnecessary in my opinion. Nonetheless it's good though, and I would try to recreate it at home. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat as a late lunch/early dinner. My waitress was a lovely woman who checked in multiple times and brought my food out within two minutes (I was also one of the only customers inside). I did take away one star because a lady walked in just to use the bathroom and when she came out she said she slipped and fell. There was a wet floor sign, but the floors by the bathroom were definitely bad. They asked multiple times if she was okay and genuinely cared, even after she left. The rest of the restaurant was clean but there were enough employees on their phone to do something about the large spill. read more

First time having skyline and had no idea what to expect. Service was extremely quick, polite, and helpful even during the lunch rush. I got a 4 way, and wow do they pile on the cheese. When it comes out it honestly does not look appetizing and you feel horrible about yourself with every bite, knowing how terrible it is for you. But It tastes delicious and I see what the hype is about. I guess people love it or hate it, and you can put me much closer to the former category. I would go here occasionally if I lived nearby, but not too often as I don't crave chili that much, and I don't want to be 500 lbs. The restaurant itself was very clean and organized. I consider this a brand new Skyline location even tho it has been open for a couple years at this point. When I used to work in the area, the older much lesser location was still open up the road from this one..and this one was still being built..and I never got a chance to eat at it..so basically it's not new but it's new to me. That being said, it's a very nice location. It's pretty big, and they've done a great job keeping it clean and organized because it still definitely has a brand new kind of feeling. I had lunch there on a Sunday late morning/early afternoon..and it was pretty busy. Regardless we found seating right away and were waited on immediately. Our waitress was friendly, fast, and efficient. I had my go to of two cheese coney's with the habanero cheese and an order of cheese fries with the same cheese, only melted. I know the two-ways and three-ways are their signature dish, but I've just never been able to grow a taste for them since moving to Cincinnati. They were fun to have when I used to come visit family out here..but know that I live here, I'd just rather go with what my go-to has become. Everything tasted great. The food came out super fast and tasted super fresh. Between the nice clean atmosphere, the fast and friendly service, and the great tasting food I received (at crazy reasonable prices)..of course I would recommend this location if you're nearby and in need of a Skyline fix. read more

I'm part of the Skyline Cincinnati Chili cult! I have to admit, when I first tried SL in northern Kentucky a long time ago, I wasn't sold on it. I've since conceded and have found my niche/go-to here. Chili with spaghetti noodles, is how I remember chili from my childhood. My mom still makes chili with pasta. My husband hates the idea of pasta in his chili. So when I get SL, I get to reminisce back to my childhood. I always order the 3-way, which includes spaghetti noodles, the beef mixture and the shredded cheese and crackers on the side. I love that you can slowly add the cheese to it as you eat, or add as little or as much as they give you... which is a lot! Who can complain about too much cheese?! I visited this location a few weeks ago, just before closing time. My 3-way was still amazing and the employees were nice. I'd definitely recommend eating here over the attached restaurant pub. read more

Our group was torn on this restaurant. We figured we had to try local fare. We had a traditional 4 way with onions and a cheesy dog. Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good - If you like cheese, this is your place. The bad- The hot dog was probably more like a Vienna sausage and not great. The ugly- Our entire car has been burping nonstop for the last 4 hours. 1 enjoyed their meal but it was sloppy, we see why they offer a big. 1 thought it was ok. And 1 will never ever go again. After years of hearing friends from Cinci pine over Skyline Chili, I finally had a chance to try it. To succinct, I was underwhelmed. The cheese fries were soggy with a cap of partly melted shredded cheese, gross. The 3-way chili tasted good but the portion was tiny and the chili was sparse in the spaghetti (odd combination). This is a review of this location since Skyline has several locations throughout Cincinnati. The food is the same as all others. You either like it or you don't. So quality here was good. Space was clean and spacious. Parking is kinda a pain, but get over it....Service was quick and friendly. read more

While in the area on a mini-vacation, we stopped here because my mom had been to a Skyline Chili years before and remembered it being awesome. She and one of my sisters got the chili covered spaghetti, I got a hog dog with chili and a side salad, and my other sister got a chicken wrap (she's odd, I know). I guess I'm loyal to my beans and spicy type of chili, because I wasn't thrilled with this type of chili. It wasn't bad, it was just different. I'm glad I experienced it, but I don't know if I'll ever want it again, even if I'm in the area. My mom and sister loved their chili, though, so I know it was just my tastes and nothing to do with the restaurant itself. We needed to get on the road, but so we got an order of the funnel fries to go. The waitress said they cooked it a little too long so it was a little darker than normal, so she gave us a second order for free!! They were worth every calorie. Get them. Seriously. The location itself was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and definitely made the visit memorable. read more

We love this location! We moved to Fairfield in August, and this one has been our go-to since then. Even when it's busy, they're quick and courteous. They've never messed up one of our orders, and when we got a big to go order (for 6 people) a while back, they were so detailed about making sure everything was perfect. It's always clean when we go in, and even though it's in a pretty busy location, we always see folks come in who are clearly regulars and are friends with the staff, which is always a good sign. Loved it! Spaghetti Chili 5 way with extra cheese! Visiting from Seattle, I didn't know chili could taste this way. It is unique and definitely not Texas chili, but then again, it's so good in it's own way. If you're visiting, bring your appetite, stop and try it! I always give a place the benefit of the doubt and most Skyline locations are great but I have to say, not this one. I went through the drive through for food for lunch. I got to my location and realized my food had onions on it. Raw onions. Im allergic. So, because of my allergy, I cant keep something like this in my fridge,in my house (even wrapped in a bag), or in my vicinity. So, I was busy for a couple hours and finally got to call to this location to speak with someone. It was well after the lunch rush so no issue there. The food had been taken to a garbage can and thrown out because I didnt choose to spend the afternoon in the ER. So, I call and speak to a lady who didnt identify herself but said she was a mgr. I explained the issue and asked if I had the receipt. Im pretty sure the receipt was in the bag with the food I cant touch again. She asked me to hold (in a rude manor) while she found my ticket. She puts the phone down and goes off somewhere and comes back and asks what I had so I told her. She interrupts me asking if it was rice and beans. I say no. I again tell her what I had. So she takes my name and number and says she will call me back when she finds it. This was a month ago and I have yet to hear from her. She was very rude and acted like I was wasting her time by my simple act of breathing. I was courteous to her despite almost having to be in the ER is I had eaten this food. So, anyways. The next day, early, I call back to talk to a GM or someone who might be interested in actually helping. Spoke to an older gentleman who said he would definitely take care of it but needed to find the ticket and also heard what had transpired with the woman the day before. He said he runs that location and was the owner. He also took my name and phone number and no response EVER. Im not sure if I walked in there now if there would be something with my name on it as a replacement for my food or even an apology that I was treated so rudely or the fact that I was disregarded by two different people who both claim to be people in charge. I doubt I will ever come back here either. Allergies are serious business and apparently if thats the case, these folks here arent concerned. read more

Spaghettios are better than this and that stuff is terrible. People raised in Cincinnati love it but if you are from out of town, run far away. I drove through one of their locations and when I brought this to my room to eat, I was so disappointed. I'd say that home cooked Spaghetti with Ragu is 100 times better. People who live there grew up with it, so it must feel like they get to taste something that teleports them to memories of their past, but really, its pretty awful. read more

five stars. when you get this only once a year and it's as good as it is, it's tough to go with only five stars but hey, them's the rules. skyline is a cincinnati tradition -- a way of life. but, i don't go for the chili because i don't care for it. it's the steamed hot dog buns, the dogs, the yellow mustard and all that finely shredded cheddar cheese. and there is literally a mini-mountain of cheese atop each dog. "a lonely weiner-bun with cheese and extra mustard", if you will. anyway, that's how it's ordered there (and it's "lonely" because there's just one dog in the bun. a weiner bun has no chili so unless you order it lonely you'll get two dogs in one bun, and some people might like that). the location on dixie hwy is super close to my parents' house so that's our favorite but the restaurants are scattered all over cincinnati and thereabouts. super quick service and a lovely bowl of oyster crackers for you to munch on during the 2-3 minutes it takes for the waitress to return with your order. there are lots of variations to their chili and the menu is absolutely huge with them, including baked potatoes, greek salad, burritos and even vegetarian selections. the atmosphere is warm, friendly and homey and if you're a regular you don't even have to place an order -- they remember what you're having and at which table you typically eat it at. never, ever disappointing and they even have a drive-thru if you're simply too relaxed to change out of your jammies. note: dad suggests that if you order the 5-way extra juicy to make sure you ask for a bib before you dig in. i've seen it, and that is a very helpful hint! read more

This has got to be the worst skyline i have EVER been too. They must keep their hotdogs for weeks b/c everytime i have purchased a cheese coney from there the hot do is so rubbery u can hard bite through it, it is DISGUSTING! And im guessing they NEVER throw out their chili, because i have been there multiple times and everytime the chili doesnt even taste like skyline, it tastes like potted meat with chili powder. So finally i stopped going there and go to another skyline over in forest park which is far better. But the management at this location or ownership or whomever should be embarrassed to serve this garbage, and i mean its garbage! read more

The staff goes out of their way to make you feel part of the family, we have been regulars here for 3 years now and always receive excellent service and freshly made coneys and chili. read more
