if I could give zero stars, I would I already reviewed on Google because I don't think anybody should be going here if you want good nails my nails are three days old and they're chipping. The layers of gel are coming apart and I've never had that happen to me? They are a horrible shape. I asked for stiletto and they're pretty much round. It was $100 for the most basic design ever and it took 2 1/2 hours for me to get out of there their customer service was rude. It was an overall horrible experience and I left a very disappointed and upset.

My inspo nails that I wanted to do that was quoted $170!! I even said go shorter on the length too.

I am conflicted. I only recommend this place because for once, most of the people in there are actually good with nails and can do design. A couple of them are really talented... However, they are expensive!! I asked how much these nails would be (picture) and they quoted me $170!! Lmao. That's why your salons are hardly ever full. It used to be that you walk into a nail salon and it's packed with back to back appts and you had to wait for walk-ins. Now, I only see 2 or 3 people every time I go. Gone are the days when techs were good with nails because it's their job and that was the standard and they didn't price gouge every step of the way. There is no standard with all of these nail salons. Will do a crap job and just take your money but when you go somewhere that's actually good and can do what they're supposed to do, the prices are astronomical. So if you can't do your own nails and you want to splurge then this is the place to go to. It's a shame they think they're better off charging SO MUCH for nails when they would be getting way more customers and way more money if their prices were fair. Thank god I can do my own nails because it's getting ridiculous. And I get it, it costs a more for the extravagant designs and XL nails but not hundreds of dollars. Especially when people do their nails every 2-3 weeks. My guy, you're not saving lives here. You're also not Picasso. You're just painting the tips of my fingers. Also they need to fix their sewer problem. I went in there and I could barely tolerate the smell it was so bad and they're acting like they don't smell anything. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty salon and I'm glad to finally win the lottery-- I mean, find a place where they do a good job and the people seem nice but with these prices I won't be able to get my nails done on the regular anymore. And I was a weekly kind of girl too. And I'm sorry but if you think it's ok for prices to be this high, you are part of the problem. Charging a little more because product pricing has gone up is one thing but price gouging is another. Designs and fun stuff was always an extra 20-30 bucks. Not 75-100+!! Oh yes, and charging a lot for a pedicure that they still rush through and do a mediocre job with, just as they have always done. GREAT. 3 1/2 stars.

Slay Me Nails never disappoints! We went in today to get ready for our 4th of July party and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Winter did my husband's pedicure and, as always, did a fantastic job -- they're clean, detailed, and exactly what he wanted. Amy took care of my mani/pedi and absolutely nailed it (pun intended). The stars, stripes, and bold colors are perfect for the holiday. Both Winter and Amy are incredibly talented, professional, and so fun to work with. Highly recommend Slay Me Nails if you want creative, flawless nails every single time!

Kristy did my nail's. She is very patient and very good on details for ANY design you would like for your nails!!! She gives you ideas if you really don't know what you want to help you decide. This is my third time coming here and my nails last for over a month. This is my new nail spot for my nails This salon is hands down the best here in downtown Riverside. I came here for the first time since it's near my job. I had an appointment at 5:45 and wasn't seated till 6pm which I didn't mind. The man who did my nails was really nice and I loved the outcome. Came in as a walk in I was at a conference at the riverside convention center . Got the slay me pedicure plus an additional $20 for gel. I asked the person to help with an ingrown but she said she couldn't do it since the polish was on. It's been 9 days since my pedicure and the gel has came off. I got a gel manicure and she thinned out my nails so much, she also made them short without even asking me. For the quality of products, the gel started chipping after a week in (which it's supposed to stay for at least 3 weeks) and have even chipped from the bottom of the nail which is so unusual. I don't clean or do anything harsh with my hands to even affect my nails and so for it to be like this with me is very unusual. Overall, really bad job with gel nails. read more

The nail salons was beautiful and the nail tech was kind! But the pricing for my nails was honestly outrageous. The nail tech used clearly used nail files and sanding bands on me, popped off my old nails instead of properly soaking them off, and just didn't really do a good job at shaping them. My nails have no apex, they're flat and if looked from the side look wonky, it's just not sharp work. Mind you i paid $145....i can understand luxury nail salons setting those high prices for amazing work and quality, but slay me nails is not that in my opinion. It was my first time coming here since all the at home nail techs in my area were booked. These were supposed to be my prom nails and initially i was okay with my set, but after i really examined them i came to the conclusion that they just don't look like my inspo pic, even my friends agree. read more

Go somewhere else. I spent close to 3 hours from start to finish for a mani-pedi and waxing. The girl was on her phone the entire time! This is such a disrespect for the customer to not respect people's time. On top of that it was $130 dollars, for what you ask...mani-pedi no polish just buff hand nails and eyebrow wax. I wanted to like this place but after a few appts here and having to go back multiple times to get things fixed after just a couple days I won't be back .. While design wise it's good the quality isn't. I spent $180 on gel x set French tip and gel pedicure solid color just to have to come back two days later because one nail popped off completely like it was a press on and the other was cracked I went to have them fixed and was charged even though it's obvious it's the application wasn't done correctly and not my fault .. I just had another nail pop clean off it hasn't even been a week. My pedicure polish has peeled off twice now so it's obvious it's not being applied and cured correctly I won't be back I don't have time to waste to have to keep having bad work fixed .. read more

The technicians were pleasant and efficient but yet I didn't feel like I was being rushed through. The environment is very clean and beautiful. The only criticism is that parking was not good. We had an appointment on a Sunday for 3 full sets, Girls day!! The salon was understaffed when we arrived but they took the time to explain and apologized sincerely. One of my friends had to wait a while but we weren't in a hurry so it was okay, we enjoyed our time there. I had MK, he was so sweet and patient. I had a hard time picking colors out but he was so helpful and didn't rush me. I am very happy with my set, the art is so soft and pretty for spring. I will be returning next month! read more

racist nail (pedicure) technician ! she became offended because i asked her to scrub my feet more , i had callus & came in for a serious pedicure! so i requested for their signature pedicure ($75+$20 for gel) before she begin painting my toes i asked her to scrub more she said she couldnt so i did then she sends over the receptionist to explain why they dont scrub intensively (even though the description said "intensive callus remover" & he instructed for her to scrub again with cuticle remover ! they felt great after ! after painting and a lotion run she ended my pedicure, she did not do the rest of service (parrafin, hot stone, 10 minute massage) & said because she was told i was not going to pay i collected my things and headed to the front and begin to tell the receptionist what was just told to me he proceeded to tell me that her reason was actually because she was afraid of me! mind you not once did i raise my voice be aggressive or any sort, but shes afraid and feels like i wont pay! this description does no justice to the discrimination, disrespect & horrible service i experienced!!!! ohhhhhh & this black girl still paid for the services she felt i wouldn't pay! smh very uncomfortable environment and energy !!! if you're black and you speak up when you do not like the service tiu are receiving! avoid !!!!! 00000 stars!!!! read more

i normally go to a private nail tech, but decided to try to this nail salon out and i will be going back! i normally don't like nail salons because they don't do the best work, and use bad practices, but this place was not like that! the salon was soo nice and professional. i showed her my inspo picture and she told me the price up front which i really liked! i didnt get her name, but she was so quick and did my nails perfect! they are pricey, but its worth it for the quality and how quickly they work. i highly recommend! read more

I came here with my mom and made an appointment prior to coming . The person took my mom and left me waiting for 40 minutes !!!! When I checked in she acknowledged that it was for 2 people . She also took in a walk in before me !!! This place has no organization and horrible customer service . The person that did my nails didn't even do my nails properly. Original review: After researching nail salons for a couple of weeks, I decided to book with The Nail Salon. I scheduled my appointment through text and was asked to send a $20 deposit through Zelle, which I did during our conversation. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I didn't actually have one scheduled. I showed the text messages and proof of the deposit transaction. She explained that because I didn't specifically tell her the payment had been sent, she didn't realize the deposit was from me and never added me to the schedule. At that point, I probably should have left, but since they weren't busy and I had already paid the deposit, I decided to continue with the appointment. The pedicure was honestly very relaxing, and the massage portion was excellent. Unfortunately, the manicure experience was much different. I requested a full set, showed a couple of inspiration photos, and trusted the tech to choose the best products. During the application process, I noticed the nails were crooked and mentioned it. I was told they would be fixed, but the final result still looked uneven and nothing like the inspiration photos. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that multiple times during the manicure, the misunderstanding about the appointment was brought up and framed as entirely my fault, with no acknowledgment of the communication issue on both sides. I'm admittedly not someone who likes confrontation, so after bringing up the crooked nails once, I stayed quiet, paid, tipped, and left. I left disappointed because I had really hoped to find a salon I could return to regularly. The pedicure itself was great, but between the appointment confusion, the interaction during the service, and the quality of the manicure, I unfortunately won't be returning. I'll now need to pay another nail tech to correct the set.

They over filed my nails and only added gel after I requested powder. Maybe it was the language barrier. I'm not a nail artist so I'm not going to tell the nail tech how to do her job. I remember my nails burned under the UV light and that's probably because I had only gel on my filed down natural nail. The nail tech didn't seem to care, so I sucked it up and ignored the burn. Day 1, (Same day of service) slightly sore from the UV.. & my pointer finger nail chipped (a deep chip that forced me to cut off the nail to avoid further damage/ injury) because of how thin it was filed down. All my other nails felt weak. DAY 2, the rhinestones began falling off making my nails look tacky. Day 3, I've had to cut my nails because of how weak they felt when trying to open stuff, I couldn't change or shower confortably because my nails were bending by how thin they were. Not to mention the rhinestones scrape against my fingers when I wash my hands. I've hato file down the chipped off rhinestones because the piece that's still stuck onto my nail is sharp enough to pierce my skin. Day 4, my nails are now short (so much for growing and caring for them just to have to chop them off after a "professional" touches them. Never again. This review is to help other girls like myself that have natural nails. Emily shaped my one acrylic nail, the only one she put powder on, really pretty. I still don't understand why she didn't put powder on my other nails. My nails came out NOTHING like the color I requested.

While preparing my nails, he brought up again that he thought a full-color set would look better. Since I had already stated my preference, I felt a little uncomfortable being pushed toward a different option. Later, when it was time to apply the color, he asked, "Full now, right?" and I ended up agreeing because it felt like he was rushing through the appointment. I later realized I was his last customer of the day, which may have contributed to the experience. After I agreed to the full color, he proceeded to paint my nails but didn't clean up the polish around the edges or cuticle area. As a result, there was visible polish on my skin around several nails, which made the finished set look messy and unfinished. The service felt rushed overall. When applying the cuticle oil, he was standing and not really paying attention to where he was putting it, and the appointment ended with a quick instruction to wait a few minutes and then wash my hands. The nails turned out okay, but I left feeling like my original request wasn't really respected and that the service lacked attention to detail. I believe clients should feel comfortable getting the design they ask for without feeling pressured to change their minds, and I also expect the final result to be clean and polished.

After waiting a long time, we were finally taken back while my dad was asked to wait just a little longer for another technician. The frustrating part was that as technicians became available, they skipped over him and started services for other customers instead. This also happened with two technicians not just one. If we had been told from the beginning that we wouldn't both be seen at the same time, we would have left instead of waiting. We were there for over two hours, and my dad never even received his pedicure. On top of that, the technician who did my pedicure made me feel very uncomfortable. He was polite, but his behavior came across as overly familiar in a way that didn't feel professional. I also cut my pedi short and opted for no color cause I just wanted to get out of there. He also cut my right big toe picture shown The way he handled my legs and feet made me uneasy, and I left feeling uncomfortable rather than relaxed. Overall, the communication was misleading, the wait was excessive, and the experience was not what I expected. I won't be returning and hope the salon improves both its customer communication and professionalism.

I had a very disappointing and painful experience at this salon and feel others should be aware. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment, only to be told that my technician was running an hour late and that I needed to come back later. After returning at the time they asked, I was still left waiting because she was still behind. Once the service finally started, the technician appeared to be rushing through my pedicure. In the process, she cut the side of my big toe badly while working around the nail. The cut was deep enough that it bled excessively, and she was unable to properly stop the bleeding before sending me out. Since the appointment, my toe has become extremely swollen, painful, and appears to be infected. This was not a minor nick it was a serious injury caused by careless and rushed work. What made the experience even worse was that I was still charged for the service despite leaving injured. Poor time management is one thing, but causing a customer physical harm and still charging them is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

Best nail salon, hands-down. Modern, very clean, organized, with very polite and kind staff . I have been going to the salon since it opened and have been with Kristy and Carol since before at their prior shop. I always get gel extensions long with designs. I also get full pedicures, and sometimes just polish change. I've never had my polish lift, bubble, fade, or crack, even when I dropped a metal staple gun on my big toe. My extensions never lift or break despite me being very rough on them, have four kids, and typing chart notes all day. I can go 4 to 5 weeks in between polish change and extension changes. I pay about $135 for a full set of gel X size long, w/design and feet gel polish change and the pricing is perfect. You pay for what you get and they definitely give you that good work. If you're looking to pay any less, then you get what you deserved when you pay that price and I'll be sure to see you crawling through the door begging to pay their price to get it corrected!! My go to nail tech is Kristy she's awesome i actually followed her from a previous location she's good at what she does & always keeps my nails looking great. I go for something very simple which is luminary gel manicure.
