After a long day from work, I decided to order a NY style pie and some breadsticks that my little brother wanted. Once I ordered, I waited more than half an hour just to receive only my order of breadsticks. As I told the delivery guy and going back and forth that I was missing my whole pie, he claimed he forgot and that he would be right back in a few minutes. Again waiting for another 20 min I have finally received my pie. And to top it off, my breadsticks were very stale. How is it possible to forget a WHOLE pie and be given cold, hard breadsticks ?! read more

Purchased a Groupon for some New York style pizza and it did not disappoint. Got a half pepperoni and half grilled chicken pizza.

I've ordered from this place a number of times via Seamless and it's usually been a positive experience. I generally stick to pasta, which comes with breadsticks. Tonight, I placed an order for my usual pasta via Seamless. It arrived in a timely fashion, pasta pretty good on first bite....but I opened up my breadsticks to find mold on each of them. I tried to contact Seamless who reached out to Slice to, apparently, no avail. Might want to do a more thorough check on the food. read more

Fast service, great food, and don't forget to check in on yelp to get your free soda! We all love soda with pizza right? I ordered the white pie and the buffalo Stromboli. Both were very fresh. The buffalo Stromboli had just enough spice and flavor. Sometimes cooks go overboard with the buffalo sauce but Slice knows exactly what they're doing. I was pleased to find out it is the same owner as Blend on the Water. The business is up and coming. It's very clean and welcoming inside and the staff have no problem giving you what I call a food tour. read more

Place is called slice, they no longer deliver slices, even if it's 4 + an entree. Go figure. Tonight I walk-in order 3 slices one was vodka, which was sitting there. As I'm waiting for the slices to be heated a guy walks over to the counter guy and says he needs the vodka slice for an order he just took over the phone. Wait,what ? I ordered it before he came over and it was the last one. He says I can't have it. Are you guys idiots ? I asked for a manager. The phone order guy said he was the manager. I doubt that. Seriously. a very good pizza shop thats has decent pizza but the thin sliced chips are really good. i would like to see how the vibe is when the place is able to have sit in service as the outdoor seating deck area looks like a place you can enjoy your meal on a nice weather day or night. from pizza, pasta dishes, heros , calzones, etc, i was not too sure what to order so i go in the simple route and order two mushroom slices and a bottle of diet coke and i cant forget the thin slice chips for a late snack later on. the pizza is good , slices are decent size and the mushrooms didnt taste like from the can type and the chips were really good and when i come back i will order extra for my crew . prices are fair and the guys behind the counter are fairly quick so you wont wait long. plenty of pizza shops in astoria and slice astoria is one of them. read more

Normal Pizza, You can find the same anywhere on 30th in my opinion and if you travel you can fine better. Best pizza in Astoria? Hardly.... lol but it's not the worse. The customer service here is AWFUL. The pizza is subpar and overpriced so there isn't even a reason why you should deal with the bad customer service. In addition, was told it was cash only when they actually accept credit cards. The manager, cash girl, and her colleague were rude which makes no sense since the customers essentially pay their bills. But I guess overcharging for soggy, stale pizza pays their bills. So today was the worst experience ever at a pizza shop. I walked into slice the young lady behind the counter was eating her pizza. I placed my order pizza wings garlic bread and waited. She never washed her hands and grabbed my pizza that was strike 1. I explained to her what she did wrong and waited on my wings and for my pizza to be remade. After waiting nearly 15 minutes and telling her I needed to leave she noticed the cook receipt paper was out so my wings was never put on strike 2 I would of never complained but the fact nobody cared and spoke in Spanish as if I didn't understand i felt violated i would not be returning and I'll be reporting this with pics to the health department read more

This is my favorite pizza spot in the whole city of New York! The people working here are absolutely amazing! They are friendly and really care about your experience. I always get the white slice which is delicious but today I was eyeing their ala vodka slice and they just added it to me order NO CHARGE! Definitely worth the trip! read more

Ordered some slices (regular, sicilian, white), mozzarella balls, and wings for delivery. Even though the food arrived fairly fast (within 30mins or so), the food was not fresh and hot. Mozzarella balls were a first for me. I enjoyed it even though it wasn't as crispy as I'd hope. My main issue with this delivery was the pizza was soggy and very salty. Skip the veggie pasta, could probably make comparable zoodles myself. Chicken meatballs were also over cooked and I would have overlooked both of those things for convenience, but the "wild mushrooms" I added for $4 extra we're just large versions of the regular variety. Mozzarella balls still crispy and melty; thick eggplant cutlets and melted mozz - so crunchy, tender, and steaming hot. Tomato sauce is on point, the perfect balance of sweetness. The pizza is probably as bad as what a lot of people have been saying on these reviews but I don't even know because I never got a chance to sample it as the service SUCKS! Stood in front of the counter with an empty restaurant due to the quarantine. Literally ignored for 10 mins as 3 people are staring at the computer screen. Two cops walk in and suddenly they snap to attention and greet THE COPS. Even though I was in front of them and obviously the NEXT TO BE SERVED! I walked out. FUCK this place. Don't judge a book by its cover! In this case dont judge a wing by its crust! So originally I stopped by for a quick bite to eat once before and found myself in a rather unpleasant dining experience. I bit into raw chicken wings, so i decided to give them one more shot and reorder them once more. HAIL to the chicken wing the crust was super crunchy and the wing was tender, moist and beautifully cooked. I'm pleasantly surprised and couldn't be any happier with the overall texture of the wing they are still a little on the bland side but yet again I do have a rather stronger palette. Well tried to give them another shot since the food is not bad. But what a mistake did I make by ordering delivery. I was located about a 15 minute walk. Put in my order and it states that it will take an hour 725-745, was the window range. That's about average. 750 comes nothing, check status online and it states it's still being prepared !!! What!! Call Slice up and the lady informed me oh we just put your pizza in the oven, after it's done it will be delivered in 20 minutes!!!! Ok first of all you could have had the courtesy to let me know you were this behind or even notified seamless, but nothing. That is poor customer service. Not even a sorry on the phone. Better off ordering from somewhere else like Go Nonna, they have amazing food and the delivery and take out is always accurate on time. What can I say other than AMAZING! This place is my favorite pizza spot in Astoria. The decor is so appealing to the eye and bright. I think one of my favorite things is the fact that this place is extremely CLEAN. NEXT ... the staff is so friendly Melvin is the pizza legend knows the menu like the back of his hand and sends little messages on my pizza box. NEXT the food ... there is nothing I haven't eaten at this place that I dislike. I'm a sauce girl and this sauce is perfect not to salty and has sweetness to it! I love my sauces sweet! Another update from the same visit. As I finished, the manager and I had another good exchange. Although I felt it unnecessary, he insisted on comping the meal. He said a lot of the right things that reflects a strong background in customer service, but it is hard to overcome first impression. I did improve to 2 stars for service for the strong finish and am hopeful to improve the grade on my next visit. On a personal level, I appreciated his efforts to improve my experience and I am looking forward to my next visit. Last update on the service. I came in a few days later. Different person at the counter. Very friendly, attentive, and helpful. This was without anyone looking over her shoulder. Much better service experience. While I was reading the menu, she did explain some items might not be available because the cook had not yet arrived. I appreciated the information and honesty. The original manager was there working with some deliveries. Also friendly and helpful. Improved grade to 3 stars. I'm averaging my first visit with today's visit. Came in with a Groupon for 4 slices and a large fountain soda. We got two white and regular slices. They were amazing! The employees were very nice. They brought the slices over to our table. Would definately come back. We usually go to the Slice in LIC and fell in love with the pizza. This location is closer to me which is great! read more

The food is very good but the music is SOOOOOOO LOUD and horrible. Do you want to have a slice of pizza with ABSURDLY LOUD MUSIC thrumming in your ears? (And music loaded with profanity? They are usually later then the estimated delivery time, but tonight I placed the order at 9:30pm I waited 1.5 hours to before calling to see whats up, they said it was on its way with the delivery driver. Nice clean atmosphere and pleasant staff. First pie I tried was margarita vodka, probably the best vodka sauce I've ever had. Perfect blend of salt to balance the creaminess. Next one I tried was just the standard New York slice, which was okay but the high from the Grandma Vodka pie haunts me to this day... will be forever chasing that dragon. It's not on the menu, so you have to call to order it if you want it, but it's WORTH IT. Hopefully they make it a menu item. read more

Stopped by to try the pizza being a pizza lover, I have to say my favorite slice is the Margherita pizza. The regular slices are so good too, it was so good that i went back about 3 days later. Standard NYC pizza spot. They have great deals through GroupOn and are open later than most of the other pizza joints in the neighborhood. There is a nice variety on the menu but its not overwhelming. Also, the new outdoor space is awesome. The staff is very friendly and will always chit chat/give suggestions. All and all, one of the better places to grab some cheap/quick grub with friends. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at a pizza place in years! The counter person completely ignored us multiple times, when he took our order it was like he was doing us a favor. We ordered two chicken Parmesan dinners and a large Cheese pizza. The chicken Parm came out right away and was cold, the pizza came out almost 45 minutes later, and was in a to go box even though we were eating in, and it was cold and awful.
