The pizza was good. The ambiance not so much. Dirty floors, and the tables needing bussing..badly. Friday night isn't the best time to come. This was my fourth visit on a Friday night around 6:15, and each time I hope to see some changes. Small restaurant, so keeping the front of the house clean shouldn't be a problem. The staff is friendly, but didn't see anyone in the front of the house other than the staff bringing the pizza out to the tables. We did our own bussing. If you're looking for a really top notch pizza spot, come to Slice House. We've looked for so long for years and this is one of our favorites now. We tried a few New York Style pizzas with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Motorhead: this pizza has pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, bacon, Italian sausage, and little dollops of ricotta. It was so delicious. The ricotta was a nice creamy surprise and the flavor combination of the toppings was definitely nice. The crust is crispy at the edges and perfectly cooked throughout. Hawaiian Hit Man: this pizza has thinly sliced pineapple rings, smoked ham, Applewood smoked bacon, and honey. The honey complimented the savory parts although my husband thought it was too sweet. I loved it though. Pepperoni: we had to add salami since it's our fave. I would've liked more salami but this pizza was so yummy. The pepperoni was tiny and the salami was a good size and perfectly salty. The pizza sauce they put on is a perfect amount but if you like it saucy, try requesting extra sauce. The customer service was excellent. The workers were so polite and recommended the Detroit pizza. I haven't tried that yet though. When you go in, it's pretty crowded but I'm not surprised because the pizza is too good. I usually do takeout but would love to eat there next time. Try Slice House! I've been to Tony's in San Francisco, and Tony's slice house as well, and I was so super excited that a slice house by Toni had opened in my backyard. After getting in line to order at the counter, we were asked if we had been in before, and I said no, but we had gone to Tony's, etc., in the Bay Area, and asked if this is just as good or better. The gentleman behind the counter immediately snapped back that this is a slice house, which told me immediately he doesn't know anything about the owner or the other restaurants, and certainly would not be able to give us any comparison points. They have premade pizzas in the case, and you can order as many slices as you would like. The slices are pricey you can expect to pay around eight dollars a slice. We ordered three slices, two new flavor profiles to us, and one tried and true, which is our go to. After you order at the counter, they'll give you a number and go find a seat wherever. The problem is is that it was early enough in the evening that there were definitely plenty of seats, but many of the tables were dirty. They thankfully heat up the slices, and bring them to the table. We were asked if we wanted hot honey when we ordered, and we were handed a small container of hot honey, and the outside of the container was just sticky. We also were not told that we were being charged two dollars for the 2 tablespoons of honey or less that was in the container. Tony Jack- it's the deep dish looking slice, doesn't have tomato sauce on it, but we were told it had olive oil oil and all of the toppings with some ranch on top. It was mediocre at best. It was super heavy and ready and not like a typical Detroit dish, and the toppings were decent but nothing to write home about. Walkers is an easy go too. It has mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, it's just super tasty. I like the fact that it's generally cheesy, but this slice wasn't. The third slice, which wasn't memorable enough for me to remember the name, I was also pretty mediocre. The crust was not fresh, the ingredients/toppings were OK, and overall just kind of disappointing. The only service is at the counter where you order, and as I mentioned, the restaurant wasn't very clean, which is definitely a turn off. If you're in San Francisco, hit up Tony's there. If you're in Roseville, there are absolutely better places with Pizza that tastes authentic, it's delicious, and worth the money. $30 for three slices of pizza and pizza that's not even somewhat decent is a hard note for ever returning read more

Driving by, I made a wrong turn, saw this place, pulled in, and decided to give it a try. It has only been open for a month or two so let's cut them some slack. 40 years ago, I used to manage a Round Table, so I know a little about the pizza business--but I don't know much about New York-style pizza, and I want to say that up front. The employees were great: friendly, responsive, and welcoming. I ordered a slice of double-sausage pizza. First strike: nobody told me the sausage was spicy. I don't like spicy/hot sausage because it burns my mouth. I thought about taking it back, but I was already out in my truck, so I decided to deal with it. There were only two pieces of sausage on the entire slice anyway. But the real problem was the crust. I've had plenty of pizza, including New York-style pizza (in New York) a couple of times, and I don't ever remember the crust being this tough. The outer crust was so hard that I threw it away, and the crust under the toppings was so chewy that I felt like I had to chew forever! You know the difference between this slice of pizza and an old shoe? YOU COULD EAT THE OLD SHOE IF YOU HAD TO!!! Not a fan, but I do wish them well. It just wasn't my cup of tea. read more

Visited for the first time, on a nice warm Saturday around 11:30. We ordered 3 different slices and a salad to share. Pros: Food was really good. The NY style double sausage slice was huge and hit the spot for me. Wife loved her Sweet Gino slice. We took the Sicilian pepperoni slice home and it was a tasty snack later, straight from the fridge. The Craft salad was pretty good but was overdressed, so the balsamic sweetness overpowered everything else. I would order again but with the dressing on the side. Service was basic but efficient. Order at the counter then they'll bring out the food when it's ready. Cons: Nothing major. Verdict: We will be back for sure to try some different slices or maybe a whole pie. Recommended! read more

Great pizza, we got the extra large American combo pizza. The crust was soft but still had crispy bottom. Toppings were well balanced and tasty. Went back to the Thousand Oaks location a few years later and updated my review because it was not the same. Confirmed they changed suppliers and I could no longer recommend this. Went from the best to the worst in a single bite. So when I was in the Granite Bay and discovered there was a Slice House, I had to give this place a try in hopes of finding that 5-star plant-based pizza once again. HOW TO ORDER The pizzas come in only medium or XL. When I was in Southern California, it was cheaper to order a cheese and add the pepperoni. I didn't do the at-the-counter math because they had a nice line of people behind us, but that's how I ordered here too. There are vegan cheese options, but I've not found a stretchy vegan cheese that is delicious and pizza-worthy. So I recommend the non vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. Medium Cheese $22 Add vegan pep $3 THE VEGAN PEPPERONI The vegan pepperoni has that grease you'd expect from a pepperoni pizza. The edges curl up. And ultimately, the flavor could fool the biggest carnivores in your eating circle. THE CRUST Wasn't too wimpy and help up without flopping. Wasn't too cardboard stiff. Just right. Heard great things about this place. Was looking forward to this location opening up. Fast casual where you order then they spring it out to you. Line was long on a Thursday but went quickly. Ordered a variety of pizza slices: red Detroit pizza, granite and wise guy NY style pizza. Not really a fan of the Detroit style with super thick crust and small amount of cheese and sauce. Tony G-That name in the pizza world is royalty-If I remember correctly he has over 10+ pizza world championships and he is an expert in just about every style of pizza that's out there-he has opened more than a few restaurants across the country including Pizza Rock that used to be located on K street downtown.Sadly that restaurant closed during the COVID-era-I used to really enjoy Pizza Rock when it was downtown. Of course he got his start and his most famous restaurant is in San Francisco and has been operating there since 2009 and is widely considered one of the top pizza restaurants in the world.So when I heard he was going to open up a Slice House in Granite Bay offering slices in New York-Detroit-Sicilian & Grandma Style-I was more than excited and knew I had to go there asap. This location is located at Douglas Blvd & Sierra College Blvd is a multi tenant shopping center so that makes parking a breeze for this location. This is the kind of restaurant where you order at the walk up counter,whether u want slices or an entire pizza then take a number to your table and they deliver the pizza to you once it's done.The slices are already made when u get there-they just warm them up when you order them.I was doing my best to figure out which pizza was the freshest before placing my order but they all looked the same to me,so I just ordered what I wanted. I ended up going with 3 slices only because my total for 2 slices was just under the $15 threshold that I wanted to reach in order to get the $5 discount that is a welcome reward when you download their app and join the rewards program. I went with a slice of NY-Style Hot Honey($6.95) and a slice of Detroit-Style Motörhead($7.75) and a slice of Sicilian-Style Traditional($7.25). Way too much pizza for one person-I will admit that but I did want to take advantage of the welcome $5 discount and besides it let me have plenty to bring home to the wifey. Slice House just opened its Granite Bay location on Sierra College Blvd and Douglas Blvd. The pizza slice display is beautiful and appetizing. However, it was not smart of me to order slices after peak lunch hours. I suspect the slices might have been sitting out for awhile and reheating didn't do much to warm them up or keep the crust pliable. The Red Top Detroit Style Slice of the Day for Thursday had a yummy, fresh tomato sauce. Wiseguy NY Style Slice had a crust too dry and tough to eat. Slices ranged in price from $6.65 to $7.75 on the day I visited. Maybe I'll try the Sicilian Style Slice, Meatball Monday, or pasta one day. read more

Love that this place opened up close to me. Tony G has his main sit down restaurant in sf and there's always a line to get in. He has multiple chain locations like this where you can order by the slice or a whole box to go. They have multiple styles oh pizza that everyone will enjoy like New York, scilian, Detroit. They also have pastas, salads and wings on their menu. There are plenty of slices to choose from and they always highlight a different menu flavor per day. If you order a slice they warm it up for you. Their crust is unique with more of a corn meal/semolina taste that makes the crust a bit firmer and doesn't get soggy with the sauce. I also tried their little Italy with vegan cheese and it was delicious. Their vegan cheese is from a speciality vendor and it melts really nicely on the pizza. I could barely tell it was vegan. Also, one of the workers said their vegan pepperoni is really good as well. My husband tried their grandma slice and wiseguy. Totally different styles and he devoured both of them. I would also highly recommend getting their hot chili oil. YUM! The pizza here is SO good. I can't personally attest to their traditional crusts, but I'm highly impressed with the gluten free crust. The toppings are quality and prices are VERY affordable. For $6-7 you get a LARGE slice of hot pizza and quick service. My friends all LOVED the Detroit style pizzas. Bre helped me order today and she did a thorough job of explaining the differences between pizza crusts, topping combos, flavor profiles, and portion sizes. Then after I had eaten, one of the chefs, Trinity, came out and asked how the pizza is--Great customer service! They have a nice variety of beer, cider, and wine between draft, bottle, and can. The restaurant is very clean, modern, and bold in color--a quick serve--upscale sports bar vibe with 6 TVs to watch a variety of sports and streaming. Perfect for when you're short on time, but don't want to go to a fast food establishment. They have 10 seats outside to enjoy the beautiful California weather with plenty of shade and 4 quick park stalls to grab and go within 15 min. The place is cute and decently sized inside. Lots of tvs for sports. They serve pizzas by the slice and you can order a whole pizza. They offer beer on tap, wine and other cocktails in a can. There's a soda fountain to get your own drinks and next to that is cheese, red peppers and oregano in containers you can take to your table. The service was okay. We ordered off the special of the day menu. We had a hot honey slice and a motorhead slice. The slices are huge so I would say it's priced pretty good for the portion. However, it was just okay. Neither slice was warmed up enough and they were just kind of lackluster. The beers were good and cold. Not sure we'd be back but it was worth the try. read more

I really wanted to like this place. We had to ask an employee to wipe down our table because it was filthy. The pizza had good flavor but was so greasy I couldn't eat more than one piece. I really like the hot honey. I did enjoy the meatballs but not enough to make a second trip to try it again. This was my first time to this location. I normally go to the Folsom location. I got the medium Hot Honey Pizza this time, instead of the large. It wasn't as good to me for some reason. You would think it's the same pizza but smaller, but there was just something about it that wasn't as good. They also wouldn't let me substitute the sausage for Canadian bacon, which they always let me do at the Folsom location. The girl told me no, and wanted to charge me for a pepperoni pizza and add Canadian bacon, for a more expensive price with less topping and no hot honey. We weathered the stormy weather to come out to the grand opening of Slice House in Granite Bay, and it was worth it! The place was packed when we arrived, and looked like all the tables were full. We were getting our pizza to go, so no issues. Parking might be a challenge since they are located on the end of a strip mall, but there are a couple designated spots in the front for pick up/to go orders. I love that you can order by the slice ($7-8) or a whole medium or XL pizza (unless you get the "Motorhead" Detroit-style pizza that only comes one size for $40). They had a lot of different pizzas that all looked amazing. I decided to get a medium Motorhead pizza (regular crust, NOT the Detroit style) for $27 for me and my husband instead of us getting individual slices. I did end up trying my friend's Detroit style, and the crust was everything! So buttery and crispy but not oily or hard. I loved the toppings on the Motorhead: ricotta, basil, pep, salami, mushrooms, bacon, tomato sauce, and sausage. Crust was good with a nice chew and crisp without being burnt. The dough is great no flop the sauce has a nice zest to it and the hot oil on top cuts through the creamy and fattiness of the cheese the service was pretty good could be worked on a bit but the food definitely made up for it. This is a brand new location, for a highly praised chain of pizza parlors. In the interest of transparency, let me say up front, I brought the family after a young man came by a nearby business, and said that they were giving away free slices. I figured that the first would be free, and we would buy more (and drinks) for the kids. Well they would not take our money, and after we were finished, they sent us on our way with another large pie. At no point did they request a review nor any other consideration. I did tip appropriately. The quality of their food is truly excellent, and the staff could not be nicer. Prices are more than fair for what they offer. We will definitely return. If you want a deep dish Detroit style pie .. or a Neapolitan like they sell in New York, this is your place. There are also salads, great Italian desserts and other delights. I drink non-alcoholic beer, and they have me covered. Even vegetarian pepperoni. I urge you to give them a try. Very excited that Tony made it out to our area! We used to frequent pizza rock in downtown Sacramento all the time. This pizza is the closest thing to perfection. My wife always loves the Cal Italia, which won several awards and of course my combo pizza is always a go to. We can't wait to do their Sicilian style or Detroit variations. Slice house is doing what most others couldn't even think to do. They have every style pizza anybody could want. So if you want a pizza house with options, look no further. One of my absolute favorite foods is a Sicilian Sfincione (Almost like a Focaccia/Pizza). When I seen they had a Sicilian style pizza, I was thrilled. And yes, it's light, flavorful, and fluffy. Stoked that this opened up in GB cause the location is Folsom is even a little farther from me. The cashier was super helpful and answered the 20 questions from my guests (Sorry about that. ‍). Well I've been waiting and everything I've heard through the years is true. I just visited and ate way more than anticipated. I chose two slices. One Detroit style with mini cup pepperonis and sausage. This pizza was tasty. The crust reminded me of when I was a kid and pizza hut was actually good. But this pizza far far exceeds any pizza that Pizza Hut ever produced. Switching to the slice of the day this was a traditional New York style crust. Zero flop despite the amounts of toppings offered crispness each and every bite. I have no idea what was in this slice but it was heavenly. I'm a believer. I've always been a slice guy and in this region we lack slices. I'd put Slice House at the same level of Celestinos and Johnny's. Roseville pizza has come a long way. I went to their location in Santa Clarita a year ago and have been scouring the greater Sacramento area from Auburn to Davis for something close to as good. I couldn't believe my luck when this location opened. I order a whole pizza and a slice to eat while I wait. It's always packed, just like their location in Santa Clarita, because it's delicious. Counter service, expect about 40 minute wait for a whole pizza, 15 minutes for a slice. read more

The place is larger than I thought inside and the staff was incredibly friendly and competent for day 2 of business (and ultimately why I bumped it to 5 stars). I had the Sweet Gino slice. It's a square pie and honestly I don't remember what was on it, I think it was just simple sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil. It was really good. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me but the crust was crispy and tasty, and I could tell it was sourdough. It's not the best piece of pizza I've ever had but it's pretty good especially for this area and I like the variety that they have. We'll definitely be back to try some other pizzas. read more
