I decided to try this new chicken place and I'm sorry I did. I got a kids meal and a side of okra and it was the worst chicken I have had. The chicken themselves were very very small, dried out and stringy. I took two bites and could not eat it. I also ordered okra, which was soggy and had no crunch to it. The Texas toast was hard and dry. Very disappointed overall. The sweet tea was good. This kids meal and side of okra cost me $15! Service was great, drive thru had no line. I didn't know what to order but the gentleman in drive through was a great help and helped me narrow things down. The chicken was hot and juicy a little seasoned but the sauce made up for things. Fries were on point, hot and crisp and made a great vehicle for sauces also. But the Mac and cheese is where things went south and the reason I can only give 3 stars. The Mac was good thick and creamy but after a couple of bites I found plastic in my food. Cooks need to do a better preparing food and make sure things are safe. read more

Tried the chicken club sandwich, fried okra, and fries. -Chicken was great but the ranch sauce was too rich and way too much garlic. -Okra was fine, nothing bad or special -Fries were terrible and barely warm. They need to change the oil more often. They reminded me of the old Wendy's fries before they overhauled them. Went through the drive-thru. Two people were outside taking orders slower than if they just allowed us to place the order at one of the two drive-thru speakers. They're going for the Chik-fil-a system, but failed miserably. I'll go back and try other menu items, but my expectations are lowered. read more

I honestly liked my crispy chicken sandwich dipped in honey chili sauce. This is the first time I ate at Slim chickens. The sweet tea was not too sweet which was fine by me and the french fries were pretty decent even though they could've given some ketchup and napkins in my bag. Just went here for the first time, I was exited to try it, but I wasn't blown away. I ordered a chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese, the sandwich was really small and the Mac and cheese serving was maybe 2 Tbsps. My other order was the wings (8 piece) but once I got home there was only 6, counting isn't that hard right? The manager did help me out so hopefully the second time will be better. Food here is amazing! Service was beyond any fast food around. They were quick and have more than a dozen sauces to try. Long line in drive through, probably about 20 cars but with having 20 cars in drive through I received my food in about 10 minutes... never heard of that anywhere! Keep up the great work. 1/16/24 I was excited to try this place considering the hype that followed through social media. I sat in line for about 30 minutes to see the options and was met with a menu that very lengthy and took some time read. At first I was confused about how the sauce plan works considering there are two choices from my understanding. I asked the employee about if the sauce automatically comes on the chicken or not? She replied with a snobby response of "what's not to understand?" At that moment I was drawn back considering how this is a recently established place. I let it go and decided to cling to the remaining little of the anticipation that I had of the food. I was given my food about 10 minutes later and realized it was light. I checked my food and realized I was missing two of my meals and the sauce. I circulated back around and waited additional 15 minutes to notify them of my missed orders. I eventually got the order 10 minutes later and there was still no sauce. Told the employee and he gave me a suspicious look and a few seconds of a pause as if I was lying. I showed him the bag with the meals and he said he would correct it. He gave me back the bag and offered a shake to compensate for the mistakes. I refused the offer. As I drive home I checked the boxes and there was still no sauce on the chicken nor sauce packets. By that time my meal was soggy and I just lost my appetite and decided to trash it. Tonight I decided to give it another try and waited again, 30 minutes in line. I ordered 2 wing meals and am met with the same experience. But this time they gave me "Alicia's" order. I am currently waiting in the lobby waiting for my order after realizing. As far as ambience goes, there seems to be no manager around and just your typical young kids laughing, playing around and on their phones as expected. Meanwhile there were other customers with incorrect orders waiting. I received my order 10min later and left the wrong order on the counter. No apologies, nothing. Overall, I would highly suggest not dining nor waiting in line for this establishment. Raising Canes is down the road, you'd get in and out about 15 minutes with quality service. read more
