Today's disappointing stars are brought to you solely by Slim Chickens. Tho I did order through Door Dash , the bad food and missing food items were solely on the restaurant workers and this is the 2nd time so I really felt I needed to update my review. Not sure if this location has staff issues but two times is cause for concern. Today's order via Door Dash was expensive $46.00 . The food took over an hour to get into the dashers hands and for the 2nd time the dessert was missing. That delicious brownie that I wrote about in an earlier review- so that is just really disappointing. I did call the store and spoke with a manager prior to posting this to be clear that this was a 2nd time I have had poor customer service and quality from this location in the last 3-4 months. I may update this sometime but I guarantee it won't be happening again soon. When I do, I will let you know how it goes . Just for today this place is a hard no for me.

Sauce everywhere and this was after I cleaned

This place, is okay. Fast chicken. I'm currently sick so I sent my husband to go get chicken tenders and fries for the kids. In the bag came 5 sauces we didn't order (none of what we did order) and one of them the lid came fully off so unboxing our meal was a MESS. My husband went back to get the correct sauces (picky kids iykyk) and requested food to be remade bc by the time he gets home a SECOND time the food would be cold not to mention covered in sauce. Manager wouldn't even come out. Mistakes happen, but how things are fixed speaks volumes. PS don't get the fried pickles, ours were fried to a crisp couple hardly tell there was a pickle in there. Tenders & fries good.

Just when I thought there were enough chicken places, along comes Slim Chickens. I've been twice and they've only been open a little over a week. So it's good. We went through the drive-thru the first time and sat on the patio the second time. Service has been fast and friendly, even in the drive-thru. When we dined there, staff even came outside to check on us. Now the food. People keep on comparing to others, but I think it can stand on its own. They have tenders, wings, salads, wraps, southern sides and some fun desserts. The chicken tenders can also be grilled. My first meal was the four tenders and fries and came with toast. This chicken is some of the most juicy and tender I've tried. The breading is light and not too spicy. The fries were skinny and seasoned, but I enjoyed them. I also tried the cayenne ranch sandwich which was good. I wish it had more sauce because the cayenne mayo was not coming through. I also tried the potato salad and enjoyed it. It has a bit of a loaded potato salad flavor. And best of all my picky toddler enjoys the mac and cheese. They have a ton of sauces, but will charge for extra. And even with four tenders, you only get one sauce. I hate that because I want to try them all. So far I've enjoyed the hot honey, cajun ranch and Korean bbq. I forget to mention, the prices are reasonable and lower than the competition. We will add this into our dinner rotation.

    Fried pickles. So amazing!!

Updating my review because I see the company does read what people post. We've been back a few times since my original post. I do agree with what others say about the food being salty. Our last visit (drive thru) it was almost so salty that it was inedible. And I like salty food - but this is crazy. With that said, the BBQ chicken wrap is really tasty as is the okra. The fries are not worth getting. They are just bad frankly. Ultimately though, they need to lay off the salt shaker!

This place gets a 5 star from me! Go check it out!! The atmosphere is very clean and nice.. The service that Kayla and Shamir provided was Excellent.. Kayla answered all of my questions with patience and a Smile! Thank you! I purchased the Cayenne Ranch Sandwich, Chicken and Waffle, and Tenders with Fries!! The Cayenne Ranch Sandwich was AMAZING! It did not disappoint! The tenders was golden crispy cooked to perfection and the bread was delicious! The waffle was mm mm good! The fries were not so great when they got cold. Oh please try that Peach Tea!! Every swallow was mmm mmm good!! I will definitely revisit again

We loved the make your own waffle and biscuit options. My husband made his cornbread waffle with fried chicken, eggs, pimiento and bacon jam, and I made my biscuit with fried chicken, eggs, arugula, gravy, and pecan crumble. Both were delicious, I can't wait to go back and try another combo. However, they are massive so definitely shareable if you just do one or take half home for dinner. The portions are truly generous!

The Wafflery is a fast-casual breakfast spot with a surprisingly extensive menu--think waffles, biscuits, and plenty of other brunch favorites. It took me a minute to decide because everything sounded so good! Everything we ordered was flavorful and hit the spot. You can tell they don't cut corners when it comes to taste. They have two locations, and we visited the Rozzelles Ferry location, which was a great choice because there was more parking available. Just a heads up--both locations get pretty busy on weekends, but the line moves quickly, so the wait isn't too bad. If you're visiting Charlotte or just looking for a solid brunch option, this is definitely worth checking out

My fiancé had the poppyseed pancake and omg let me tell you. It was perfect! Sweet but not overly sweet. Moist but not raw with a hint of honey in the mix. The syrup as well had a hit of honey and came out warm. This just added the cherry on the top. Walnuts decorated the tops of the pancakes with a nice crunch and lift sweet taste. The location is great, small yet cozy. If it were a tad bigger, I can see it filling up as well. If I could give this a 10, I would. Don't overthink it, come eat here.

It's like there isn't any good ventilation or something. I can't swing it. This most recent visit I had stopped prior to closing and ordered a coffee. I was inside no more than 3-5 minutes and the whole rest of the day my clothing reeked of their shop. I would love to come back with friends, especially on delay-days which we will be having soon I imagine, but to avoid smelling like their place all day, I will have to pass. The coffee is good, though. Their menu has tons to choose from and there is something for everyone!

This shop is not one of those (closing at 2pm most days) but I had reason to be in the area this morning and it was a good chance to try something new! This is a very cute shop with a small amount of inside seating and friendly staff. It appears there is outside seating sometimes as well with a canopy, but on my visit all the tables and chairs were stacked. The menu is extensive with both beverages and breakfast items, and it can be hard to choose. I wasn't hungry, so I didn't partake in the waffles, sandwiches, and soups offered, but they certainly sounded good. We ordered a Wacky Waffle hot latte and a Frankenstein frozen Oreo beverage. I'm not usually one for frozen stuff, but the Frankenstein was delicious and will certainly satisfy a sweet craving. We added an espresso shot to it for a little coffee twist and that was very good. The Wacky Waffle had a decent butterscotch undertone though it was heavy on the syrup which obscured the underlying flavor of coffee. I probably won't visit again for a while due to my lifestyle, but if I was a day walker I could certainly see this having a crowd of regulars!

But it seems we had three large families walked in shortly before us. So the wait staff was stretched thin but the manager and our waitress both apologized for any delay. Once we got seated and our drink orders taken things moved more swiftly. The restaurant itself was nice. Lots of tables and booths also a big bar you can sit at including a large outdoor area. To start we got a sweet tea and I tried one of their spiked milkshakes! The sweet tea was just right and the milkshake was very good. A nice hit of alcohol in it with real chucks of ice cream! As usual for me, I had to try the Chicken and waffle sandwich! There were pieces of bacon in the batter that made the waffle and a large piece of deep fried chicken. The sandwich ate a bit dry so I asked for some syrup to pour over the waffle. It did come with a maple aioli but I just prefer regular syrup. The hand cut fries were thick but hot and fully cooked. Very good! My mom ordered the build your own burger instead of getting one of their many signature burgers. Her meal came thick and stacked and juicy! An amazing looking burger and she loved the onion strings. Next time I go back I think I wanna try The Wanderer burger because it looks very good! We also ordered a burger to go for my dad and our waitress was so good, she put the order in as our meals came out, so when we finished the togo burger came out and it was super hot! Amazing service! Fun place to eat with lots of options! Check it out!

There are 3 high top tables and a total of 6 high chairs. Not a regular table or chair in sight. This is not a bar. You'd like to be comfortable and short folks can't be comfortable eating in here. My husband stated they probably don't want people to eat there and just take it to go. Highly recommend this place adds one regular table with chairs. That would make it more friendly for short people, seniors, or handicapped.
