Neat little restaurant with food that is addicting. Inside is nice and spacious with plenty of seating area and nice large TVs. Large outdoor patio area. Drive thru is often a bit of a wait but the food comes out hot and delicious so I'm never impatient on that aspect. We went here because it a friend of ours favorite chicken place. We had two adults and two kids. If which all love chicken wings. The service was good here-all very nice and prompt. I've been here before and loved it! The tenders were fresh, hot and awesome. Went back again, on a weekday around 2pm. The fried pickles were fresh and hot but the tenders and fries were not, tasted like they had been sitting for a while. I guess I won't be coming when it's slow. I enjoyed my meal along with my drink! I ordered a Chick Plate with Blue Cheese, and a medium Sweet Tea. I enjoyed the fries, they were very well seasoned, as well as the toast, the toast was VERY good!! The tenders were a tad too dry, maybe a little dressing or seasoning! We were just here for the first time we thought that is was awesome it will definitely be a place to stop for dinner on a weekend. I had the chicken and waffles and I must say it was the best. With all the chicken places from KFC, Williams, Canes, Chicken Express, etc., this is about average among them. The atmosphere is relaxed and the employees are great and attentive. Unfortunately the food is just OK. My sister raved about it so we went there, with her. All of us were disappointed. It wasn't bad but it also failed to stand out. First time eating here and wasn't happy. From the pictures it looks like the tenders are breaded, but mine had none. Looked and tasted like plain chicken tenders. There was no seasoning whatsoever so the sauces were crucial. The Slim Sauce oddly didn't have much flavor either. The BBQ sauce was your normal run of the mill sauce. Within a 3 mile radius there are probably 4 other chicken places and as of now I would rate all of them higher. Pretty similar to Raising Canes. They make the chicken fresh so it tastes a little longer but worth the wait! Fries are nice and fresh as well. The slim wrap was also tasty. The service was friendly but a little slow but as a new restaurant, that's to be expected. Overall food was fresh and tasty. Slim sauce is very good. Love that they have chicken and waffles. Newer to the area I drive past this place regularly and it always seems busy. So we decided to stop in for a quick dinner. While they have many sauces to choose from and a good soda selection the food left us underwhelmed. The portions of chicken seemed quite small and the chicken wings weren't very meaty. While the fries were seasoned well I was a bit disappointed the guy taking my order didn't ask if would like a side other than fries. I figured it out myself after we paid. Such a bummer. On the positive side the guy taking the order had many suggestions and was able to talk about the food. Also, our food was delivered to us right after we sat down from getting our drinks. read more

When this place opened on N. Tarrant Parkway I decided to take my kids to check it out. My kids are huge chicken strip eaters so I assumed it would be an easy win. When we got there they seemed to have an inspector present checking out the new place. The staff seemed too distracted by him to pay attention to the area or the customers, they were all just standing around. We had to clean our own table and booth because they were filthy. As we looked to other areas to sit, they all seemed dirty. The chicken was ok, but was a little pricier than I would want to pay for chicken strips. My kids complained about grisel in the chicken, which was an automatic turnoff for them. I think it would be ok if the staff focused on keeping the area clean and they got better cuts of chicken. read more

Southern delicious food!! This is better than any fried chicken place in the area. It tastes pan fried and tastes like grandma made it. Home cooked and yummy. The service is excellent. I've stopped being a fan of fried chicken restaurants like KFC or Chicken Express because I've gotten extremely sick so I never go out of my way to eat at a fried chicken restaurant. One day my husband insisted I try out this place because I normally let him venture out to new places first so he can let me know yay or nay. I'm sooooo happy I gave this place a shot, I absolutely LOVE Slim Chickens! I order the Chicks Plate, which is just the right amount of food, along with the Mango Habanero dipping sauce. That sauce alone makes the meal so worth coming back. I like that the chicken isn't sitting in a puddle of grease and with a very light coating of breading. Love the soda selection along with the sweet tea. I love that this place is just around the corner so we have lunch there at least once a week. read more

It was our first time there and I was very impressed with the taste of the grilled wrap that I got along with the side of potato salad which was also excellent in taste. Perhaps the greatest thing is that the side and the drink came with most of the meals instead of having to pay extra for them. My wife had the salad and was very pleased with it and the taste of the honey mustard dressing. I was glad to see several flavored teas as well although I didn't care too much for the raspberry one so I switched to the regular unsweetened tea and it was excellent as well. My wife got the sweet peach tea and thought it was too sweet so she added some water to make it better. Also, some of the employees checked on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. It's nice to have a fairly unique place come to this area.I know that I'll be going back for that wrap again sometime soon. read more

The Chicken Strips are the best,they are always moist and tender,I like them shaken in spicy BBQ sauce.Talk about tender,I can pick them up and they will start to fall apart,they are so tender.They give you plenty of sauces for the money, they don't nickle and dime you for the sauces like some of the other places.I eat here one to two times a week with family.Customer service is excellent.Once they made a mistake on our order.They didn't argue,they gladly brought out the correct chicken strips with the right sauce.We actually got 3 extra chicken strips.Talk about making Lemonade out of Lemons.I eat out all the time,and I always look for how a restaurant takes care of a mess up on an order.They will also give you an option, instead of ordering fries,you can substitute with potato salad or really good mac 'n' cheese at no extra charge.Their restrooms are always clean as well.I always refer people to Slim Chickens, because I know it will be a good experience for them.Brian the manager will come out as well as staff to see how people in the restaurant are doing with their meal,which is a nice touch.I think the owners for Slim Chickens are on the right track,to make this location a winner. Delicious chicken and waffles; the manager addressed me personally and took my order so that I didn't have to stand in line, even though the place was packed; I decided to go in and order take out because the drive through was very long and slow, and it wrapped around to where the parking lot was which made it inconvenient for the cars entering from the street; but I'm glad that went in, met the nice manager, enjoyed the service and the atmosphere, and got my food faster! read more
