My experience in the past here was good when this location was new. Today was not nearly as good. It started with me giving Ezra, who was taking my order, asking me if I wanted my change back. I guess the corporate policy won't allow a tip jar for the exhaustive work of taking orders so Ezra believes that it is okay to ask paying customers if they want to give him their change. I worked at McDonald's and made $2.90 an hour when I was 16 years old. I would have been fired on the spot had I ever asked to keep the customers money! As for the quality of the food, it had obviously been sitting around for a while since it was ready before I had even gotten my drink and walked to the booth. When this location was new it was really busy for lunch. Today was a small percentage of what it was then. Quality matters. Employees matter. read more

Visited the Happy Valley Rd location for the first time 5/14/25. Nice atmosphere, and nice young kid taking our order. Four strips meal comes with one tub of sauce so I requested a second flavor but I had to pay an additional .30 for it. The table we chose was not clean so we sat elsewhere. We were brought someone else's takeout order but soon got our food. Presentation was not bad, but the thin bread slices were visibly burnt. Chicken strips are skinny and were not hot. Fries seemed crisp but also were not hot. We tasted the bread, but after 3 hours there is still an awful aftertaste in my mouth that I'm still trying to clear. Highly disappointed in the food as it is nothing special and not inexpensive, so we will not be going back. Best of luck! read more

The food is always great and this is the first time we ate inside. To say the restaurant was filthy is an understatement . We were the only ones inside (Sunday at 3:30-4)and every single booth was dirty , I cleaned my own table. Bathrooms were disgusting and floor was so dirty as well. I'm have been wanting to try this place for a couple months and finally made it in today. The food and the service did not disappoint. The gentleman up front (I didn't ask his name, wish I had.) was really nice and very personable. I told him I had never eaten there and he gave me some great recommendations, and after he delivered my food he came back to check with me and make sure everything was delicious. I love fried chicken, I had the salad with the fried tenders. All the lettuce was crispy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. This place is proof that quick food can still be good and have a heart. It's my first time trying this restaurant, I had high hopes but the chicken tenders are very very dry it was like leftovers not edible even with a lot dipping sauce. The chicken wings are also very dry and they put the wings in the same box with my fries, the wings sauce got really messy. They should have put my French fries in another bag so it wouldn't get soggy. I also tried the lemonade, it tasted chemically taste to it like the employees didn't properly wash the lemonade container. I don't think I would come back to this restaurant again. read more

I was really excited to try this place as I'm a huge chicken tender fan, but after my last 3 experiences don't think we will be going back. The employees were incredibly rude this time and last, obviously they had us mixed up with another customer in the drive through today and 2 employees were super rude while we were just waiting for our order to be taken. The last 2 times we've came they forgot our sauces, which normally wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't pay 80cents additional per sauce! Went and ordered a family back tonight that's supposed to serve 2-4 and this is how full the large containers are. Not even 1/2 full. This place is hopping! And I can see why. Even though there's a line, it went by quick. The free cayenne chicken sandwich ( which I got by signing up for the app) was delicious and I like the kind of lettuce they use. Fries were excellent -- great seasoning, and I love the fact that they keep the skins on the potatoes for the fries. It's also nice that they give a veterans discount, and they make sure that tables are promptly cleaned off as soon as people leave. Meh, you're not missing out on much. Not too bad I guess, but nothing amazing either. Chicken is nice and well seasoned. Toast is toast, I personally am not crazy for toast but I've had better. Fries were awful though, wayyy overcooked. The only thing that makes them stand out is their choice of sauces which is nice. I feel like if they had a unique style of fry they would stand out even more. Chick-fil-a has waffle, Cane's has crinkle cut, etc. They should do something unique like that (but obviously, it's more important to have good tasting fries period. These were not good at all.) ordered thru DoorDash and food was lukewarm which I can't fault SlimChickens for. First time ordering from here. We got the 5 & 5 meal with an extra side. Tenders were on the small size but I appreciated the breading to chicken ratio and taste. The flat wings were great but the drums were a bit funky. A little skimpy on the sauce on the wings. For sides we had fries and fried mushrooms. Loved that you can opt for any of their sides in a meal combo and that they carry fried mushrooms as those are one of my faves. Good flavor - I prefer battered and these were more like a flour dredged but still tasty. The Cayenne Ranch and Mango Habanero sauces were the stand outs for us. We will def go back and eat at the restaurant as I imagine it would taste better when it's hot and fresh. read more

So I place the order through yelp which is grub hub. The order said it would be ready at 10:10pm. I arrive at 10:03pm the associate was putting cones in the drive thru and she saw me try to pull in. Okay, so I go to enter the fire she quickly came up behind me to let me know that they close at 10:00pm. I very nicely said i apologize I was unaware of what time they close and I placed an order and paid for it already. The associate said are you ..... yes well we have been waiting for you. She went in and grabbed my order and locked the door after handed me the food without even asking me if I wanted extra condiments. Okay, I felt bad they were trying to close up it's a Friday night they want to get home. I understand I use to work in restaurants. I get home my shake is not a shake it's a water down chocolate milk, the food was cold, no condiments for the chicken waffles luckily I had syrup. I was a little hesitant to try Slim Chickens due to some of the reviews I read, but my son went to the drive thru yesterday and he said he liked the food. I think they might still be working out some kinks since he said the drive thru took 15 min. But he said the food was good, so we had to try it today. Had the classic 4 piece plain and I have to say, I wasn't expecting much, but the entire family really liked it!! I was actually surprised that the family opted this concept vs. Raising Canes! The chicken was crispy and so were the fries. I like the fact that they also had Diet Dr. Pepper, a plus in my book! The inside was clean and before we even sat down (I was getting my drink) the food was already at the table. One of the servers/managers came to our table to ask how our food was, staff was friendly, price was decent, 4 meals for less than $50 including tax. Standard I guess. This other reviews aren't exactly being fair. The staff definitely doesn't have much experience or knowledge yet but they just opened yesterday. It's a decent sized place and it's incredibly busy so I don't know what they expect. One reviewer even said "they haven't been open very long" bro, they have barely been open for 24 hours, cut them some slack. Anyway the food was pretty good, got a decent amount for the money too. The ranch was awesome and as someone who really loves ranch, this was a nice surprise. To the guy who says he prefers canes, you're insane lol try eating a piece of canes chicken without their sauce, it's dry and terrible. This place has good chicken on its own and then it's made better with sauce. But doesn't rely on the sauce. Fries were good too. Good place and I'm glad they put it where it is. read more

Went to slim chickens opening night. I'm not impressed with the food. The 7 piece chicken tenders hungry meal with piece of garlic toast, side and soda was very expensive 15.49. Usually tenders are about 5" in length, but these were 3" and one was a 1" nugget. I ordered okra for my side instead of the fries. They charged 2.49 for such a tiny amount (about 1/4 cup). The only positive about the meal was that it was hot. One of the dining room workers was going to tables for customer comments. She came to my table and I explained that I was not happy and why. She just said sorry you were not happy and walked away (could care less attitude). Unless they imrove, I would not recommend the restaurant at this time. read more
