First, the employees are aways friendly and eager to help, that is not the issue I encountered on 5/22/26. My order was made as requested, except the bun was so charred that it was stiff, crunchy and hard to eat. I only managed to eat half of it before putting it down and giving up. My fries were so short that I felt like I was eating crumbs. I know people love this burger place but I don't understand what the hype is all about. Every now and again I treat myself to In and Out! A classic spot to get a burger and fries! All the employees here and so nice every time I stop by. We usually park in front and eat inside, mostly due to the fact the take out line is very long. When you choose to eat inside, it's definitely going to be a lot faster to get your meal. I'm not much of a meat eater (never actually have red meat) but my nephew loves this place and I admit that their burgers are high quality and good tasting (I'm told). So we went to celebrate my arrival for a visit. I was impressed with their in store service and all the options for someone just having fries and maybe a tomato or side pickle! I had a few of the toppings and could put that into a make shift salad, and found it was plenty. The flavor was good and I did notice that everyone else inhaled their sandwiches! I also appreciated they will give a lettuce leaf for those who are gluten free, so that's great. Definitely a good spot to stop if you like yummy fries (they were quite good) and are looking for a tasty casual burger joint. read more

I'm not a big fast food fan, but road trips require a break from the norm. I'm so glad we stopped here! From the adorably retro-uniformed order attendants to the cheerful service, the staffing model must be working here because everyone we encountered seemed to be having a great day. We noticed a sign for wages starting at $16/hr, so that might have been helping. Already, this was a totally different experience to any other. After placing an order with an attendant who came out to the cars in the drive-through line, we received cute paper lap-mats while paying with a cheery guy at the first window, then waited only a few minutes at the second window for our food. This is where my expectations dissolved - no squished-in paper bag of greasy food here! We were handed a cardboard tray, carefully filled with each food item wrapped perfectly to eat in the car, napkins and receipt folded around. We were offered ketchup, and though they couldn't offer mayonnaise they did give us a paper bag filled with refrigerated burger sauce, which was a great dipping alternative for non-ketchup fans. On to the food: definitely no complaints here! The burger bun was perfectly toasted and crisp, the patty perfectly cooked, and the whole sandwich carefully constructed without any leaking ingredients. The fries were well seasoned and tasty. Definitely not your typical fast food experience. In-N-Out gets my vote for any future road trips - worth skipping the meagre to-go offerings around PHX to get on the road and head here. read more

A must visit when you come to Arizona. I absolutely love In and Out as I really only eat this max once a year. I got the double cheeseburger combo which comes with a drink and fries. I also get the sauce packets on the side for my fries and to take a few packets home too! Service is always friendly and fast here. If In-N-Out burger isn't located in Southern California the quality just isn't there sometimes. We've had issues in the past with the Phoenix locations and after this last visit a review was warranted. This location is always crazy busy as it's the closest one to the Grand Canyon. But it has disappointed before and this last visit was no different. This time we received a unique burger, one that was missing half a meat patty. I really enjoyed this location today. My friend and I were exploring around the area today and decided to stop here for lunch after being out in nature all day. The line moved fast, the people taking orders and at the windows were nice and overall this In N Out had a good set up in terms of going in and out... haha. Everything was very clean, when we ate there we were 2 of 8 total people in the restaurant. Order was taken quickly and efficiently. The service was friendly just like any other location. The food came as ordered without issue. The only thing I noticed that could possibly be improved is how fast you get your food. We love In-n-Out in general, but this one location, the one closest to us, has a chronic problem. When we order their vegetarian sandwich option, a Grilled Cheese, off their not-so-secret-menu, nine out of ten times at this location, it comes with various amounts of hamburger grilled into it. This doesn't happen at other locations, just this one. The consequence is, we've had to forgo our local In-n-Out and utilize other local restaurants for months at a time. We do, however, occasionally visit other In-n-out locations when traveling or in other parts of town and have NEVER encountered this problem. Only at this one location. After a many months hiatus, we gave them another try for lunch today. One sandwich had beef crumbs across one edge that were easily removed, the other one, pictured, had sizable chunks of beef cooked throughout it. We've previously had discussions with corporate about this issue many times. And although they understand why this would make the sandwich unappetizing and be evidence of cross-contamination, they apparently can only take our report and send it to the local restaurant's management. Nothing gets resolved, this location continues to serve the Grill Cheese in this contaminated fashion. We have to assume then, that serving this sandwich in this contaminated condition is condoned by the store's management. Nice employees. Employees are hustling to keep up with demand. We went during the dinner rush, and the drive-thru was overflowing with cars. Inside the restaurant was less than half full. No wait at the registers. Going in was probably the quicker option. Burgers are what one expects from In-N-Out. Lettuce, tomato and onions were fresh. Frankly, they are so busy nothing has time to go bad. I know I am in the minority, but I don't like In-N-Out fries. Eating them the moment they are served, or taking them to-go, they always seem stale to me. Even animal style. This is at all location I have tried in both Arizona and California. I know, I know, in the minority. They just aren't my thing. I ordered some for my kids. I stick to the burgers. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. I didn't eat all day and I just got in n out after work and as I'm enjoying my French fries (haven't even ate my burger yet) I see something odd in the fries so I pick it out and it LITERALLY WAS A FRIED BUG!!!!!! I will add pictures. I have no idea how that's even possible if you're changing the oil or literally any reason why a fucking bug should be in the food you're paying for. Coming from the east coast, In-N-Out had some big shoes to fill, and they did not disappoint. I will say this, it's still not my favorite of the burger wars, but it's got a lot to love and shouldn't be frowned upon for many things it actually does BETTER. I got a double cheeseburger with onion and fries. Burger was incredible, fries were pretty good, I think they get too much flak for how bad they are. But the two things I think they really shine on better than some of my favorites are there service and value. All the staff was super friendly and checked in on our party even though it's just a fast food place, I've never had that! And as for value, I don't know anywhere you can go for a burger that size, that quality, and with fries and a drink, for that good of a price. I would have expected double at least. The drive thru at these busy locations can definitely turn into organized chaos. The menu is short and simple the have 3 meals a double double (which is a 2 patties), cheeseburger, or a hamburger. They will ask you if you want onions on it, it's raw onions not cooked, it's to powerful for me. I love their secret menu toppings it's called Animal Style, which they can add on your sandwich or fries. On your sandwich they will add grilled onions, pickles, and extra spread sauce. The sandwich already comes with tomatoes & lettuce on it. I love the spread sauce it makes it taste better. It's like a thousand island dressing. There's only one size for the fries. I love how they have verses hidden on the bottom of the cups and the back of the fries container. They do have seating outside as well. They are usually open till 1am during the week & until 2 am during the weekend. read more
