Sliver has since opened multiple locations and have more flexible hours than Cheeseboard. You can check online to see what the flavors of the day are for each location! I came once right before they closed, ordered 3 slices and they were so nice they gave me a WHOLE box! Most popular is the corn one with lime and their green sauce is *chef's kiss* I drench my slice of pizza with so much of the green sauce.. Stopped by this weekend after a day of thrifting on telegraph, and it's as good as I remember! The ordering process also felt a lot more straightforward than the Shattuck location, as it's not like a sit down restaurant where a waiter comes by to take your order. We ordered the pizza of the day which was the Cremini Mushroom, Yellow Onions Mixed with Green Onions, Mozzarella, French Goat Cheese, Fresh Herbs, Infused Chanterelle Mushrooms-Garlic Olive Oil pizza. Our DoorDash driver delivered the pizza and when we opened it, it was NOT the pizza we ordered. It was comprised of entirely different ingredients and looked NOTHING like the Pizza of the Day advertised on their website. We tried to call the location from which we ordered and all we got was a recording saying "Sorry, the mailbox is full." No one at the restaurant answered the phone. We even tried calling another location, the Shattuck location, to see if they might have another number for the Telegraph location, and when we called Shattuck, all the number did was ring about 20 times and finally connected to a recording that said "Enter remote access code." No one at this restaurant location answered their phone either. Sliver does NOT deserve to be on YELP's Best list. In fact, they do NOT deserve to be on the YELP website at all. Slivers is my go to pizza place after CheeseBoard. They have a certain type of cheese on all of their pizzas that makes it so delicious. My only complaint is that my favorite pizza of the day, which is the one with corn and Chile pasilla, are rarely offered. SLIVER or Cheese Board?!?! I wouldn't know since I've only been to SLIVER. However, it seems like everyone has a a preference between the two. I went to SLIVER on a Friday afternoon and luckily it wasn't busy at all. The place itself is pretty large and they have many tables throughout the whole restaurant. // PIZZA // Corn, zucchini, yellow onions, mozzarella, French feta cheese, topped with cilantro, garlic olive oil, and limes. I thought the pizza had excellent flavor. I could definitely taste the garlic olive oil and feta cheese. I like the crunch from the corn and the citrus flavor from the squeeze of lime on the top. I definitely suggest getting the sauces on the side to try. The green sauce and the orange looking sauce both had great flavor to them. I wouldn't say one was better than the other, but they both paired well with the pizza and I ended up using both of them throughout my meal. Overall, I would definitely return to SLIVER for another slice of their delicious pizza. My next trip to Berkeley will have to consist of trying Cheese Board too so that way I can give my opinion on which one is better. read more

Getting Sliver is almost never a bad idea, even if you're already planning on eating lunch and dinner somewhere else (I may have done this... a few times before... lol). My only gripe about Sliver is the one-type-of-pizza a day concept, which I know is kind of the defining attribute of the place. I like the concept itself, but somehow it seems like there isn't actually that much variety. The vast majority of their pizzas feature a ton of cheese and garlic olive oil, whether it's a cheesy mushroom pizza, or a cheesy potato pizza, or a cheesy corn pizza... the dominant flavor is always cheesy and garlicky. TASTE It was very original, thin crust, vegetarian pizza. It's good but it didn't fill me up with 1 slice. The green sauce is the bomb like what everyone says. The sauce gave the pizza so much flavor. We even use the sauce on our other dishes. TIP don't be a fool to order only 1 slice per person. You need at least 2 slices to be full. Food: 2 Value: 4 Service: would not return in pandemic This merchant had all individuals entering the store line up regarding of pre-order via services like Caviar/Doordash. Then, it was obvious my order was not even confirmed (I ordered via Caviar) until I checked in and I was then considered in line again behind all those who ordered in the store for my food to be prepared and ready for pick up. There were at least 15 individuals inside the store at one point - masked but very difficult to social distance the entire time due to people continuing to walk up and ask to show their pre-order (only to be asked to wait in that line as I mentioned before). I would not return to this location for such a poorly coordinated and unsafe pick up experience. Then, I come home to find that I'm pretty sure our pizzas were under baked (only lightly baked and required reheating) even though I ordered 2 fully cooked pies...after reheating my pie, our slices taste crisp (vs chewy and doughy), and I know I was right.
