I came in for a quick bite around 8:30 on a Sunday evening. I chose the French onion soup and a side of tater tots and queso. The French onion is not what I was expecting, it had a vinegar taste to it and was loaded with onions, barely any broth (the photo is once I was finished). The cheese was very yummy but I noticed it also didn't have bread. The soup wasn't bad but I don't think I would order it again, being the French onion fanatic that I am I've had better of this traditional soup. The tots came out much later than the soup and I didn't get the side of queso, eventually they brought it. The queso was curdled and had a kick of heat to it. We stopped by Small Giant and only ordered one beer and a burger. Unfortunately, the burger took about 40 minutes to arrive, which felt excessive given how simple the order was. After the food was finally brought out, no one checked on us for another 10 minutes. We also never received silverware or napkins, so we ended up eating the meal without them. Our waiter was very attentive to us. The drinks were great! We created our own pizza & it was so good. And since it was brunch time I also tried the Brunch Burger which was good but since I got waffles as buns after while the taste was getting to be too sweet for me. Finally tried our new neighborhood restaurant on WaterStreet Tampa. Great location..... I gave it 3 stars due to poor/slow service. We tried ordering drinks from the bar while we waited for our tables, the bartenders were not engaged and uninterested in making the patrons feel welcome (we were never given the opportunity to order drinks...). The food was decent- we ordered the Wedge salad and Pizza. I would order both items again. Our wine came out 20 minutes after ordering our food. Hopefully they can figure out their service! The pickle pizza is to DIE for. Splitting an appetizer and a pizza is perfect for 2 people. My husband and I split the wings as well and they were delicious. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. She said they were working on expanding the menu even more and i suggested a dessert pizza and she loved the idea! This is a great place for a quick bite on Water Street. I came here for some apps before a Jonas Brothers concert. The server was very friendly and attentive. The 3 of us had a terrible experience, horrible service from the bartenders. I've been serving for 10 years, my friend has been bartending for 10 years, and my boyfriend has been a restaurant manager for 15 years. We're very easy going and understanding. However this was the worst experience we've ever had anywhere. Crappy over priced batched drinks that contain small amounts of alcohol. Waited 25 mins to be greeted, and the bartender proceeded to not make our drinks after taking our order. Another bartender finally approached to take our order and he cut her off while she was speaking to me and quickly made my drink, but made it poorly. Cru cellars has done it again. This offshoot called "Small Giant" offers good value, good food, and quick service. The wine is impeccably selected. The food was flavorful. The wait was relatively short. The only thing i didn't love was the small nondescript room with a loud echo we were seated in. Please find a way to add some ambiance to that room. read more

The host sat us at our wobbly table. We moved ourselves due to the table wobble. The table that we moved to also was not steady. We sat at the table for nearly 5 minutes in an empty restaurant and no one approached us for water or anything. The host disappeared and there was no wait staff visible. I went in to Small Giant one Friday night with a co-worker. It was still kind of early so it wasn't busy and we easily found a seat at the bar. We sat there for a few minutes and the bar tenders didn't even say hi. I understood that they might have had other things to do so I waited... and waited.. but they never said anything to us. Went here for a Late lunch. Music was Quiet, which is totally fine if staff weren't gossiping lined up at the Host stand. I could hear conversations very clearly. Just went somewhere for some peace, not for todays "Tea". Keep Your laundry in the back. They obviously hardly ever have pizza if they have printed menus saying sold out. From Columbus here and was super excited to try this place. Now super disappointed. Our server said they usually only have pizza 1 or 2 days a month. That's not a supply issue, that's a management issue. Order the correct amount or change suppliers. You can make Columbus dough here in Tampa. Guess I'll go back to Donato's in Sarasota. read more

The place doesn't have pizza. It's a rouse. What restaurant with good management runs out of product every single day while demand persists?
