The employee who assisted customers today, named Salem, was a poor example of customer service standards. Her behavior was rude and unhelpful, and she did not handle a simple question appropriately. Staff should represent professionalism and basic workplace standards when interacting with customers. This experience was disappointing and reflects badly on the store. If you're looking for cleaning supplies this would be the place. I went in looking for Mr. Clean & Floor cleaner, came out with a bunch more.....I also saw hand sanitizer, wipes, Bleach products but still no Lysol products. Plenty of paper products. Smart & Final has always been known for cleaning supplies & institutional size items. They also have a large selection of restaurant supply items or items you might need if your throwing a large gathering. They have camping items, outdoor chairs, disposable containers plus so much more..... The line is a bit long because of Covid, but they are trying to do the whole social distancing thing. 1 Line & lots of X's to move you thru the line until checkout. Mask required, cleaning station to wipe your own cart. Parking is kind of limited in front but plenty along side the building. read more

WARNING!!!! Went into smart and final to get some styrofoam plates and bowls. Noticed the bowls in each bag but one of them, looked like they were missing a lot of bowls. My plates were missing 5 and bowls about 20 of them. They're cheating people or employees are stealing from the bags. Count before you buy people!!! read more

This grocery store is only good for sales you see in the weekly flyer, but even those items are rarely in stock. Otherwise, groceries here are pretty expensive (up to 30% more than Walmart). If you're looking for things in bulk, it might be more cost efficient for you though. read more

Something is happening. Their prices are EXTREMELY high, and their selection is poor. The sanitary conditions are questionable, and they are showing every sign that they really could care less if they close up or not. Prices at times are so high that it wouldn't matter what store you went to (including convenience stores). Smart and Final is the perfect place to go what you need small items and don't feel like dealing with the crowds or parking. The cashier Monique is always very friendly/personable, helpful and on occasion has dropped what she was working on, to make sure we find our favorites. helpful staff - seems to have short of staff when I was in the store. Large selections - selling most stuff in bulk. the only down side, some particular item will be carried though out the year and all of the sudden, they are empty. Or out of stock for a long time,... ie: Instant breakfast. Store cleanliness and tidiness its depend, if you come in the morning, the isle look pretty nice, organized and decent... but toward mid day... sometimes are empty. Truly your one-stop shop for just about anything you need if you work with food. By "just about anything" I mean they carry ALMOST everything. They are near my work which makes it convenient for a quick trip if I happen to run out of an item before my next delivery, without having to deal with the larger crowds at supermarkets. The staff, for the most part, are well prepared, helpful, and friendly. They have stopped carrying many items that I used to buy from them on a very regular basis. I have come to this store for many years. I prefer the new one in Highland much more as the checkout clerk's are much friendlier and helpful. I just got done shopping once again at the Redlands store and was treated so rudely by the clerk (name tag said Marianne) that I really don't want to come back again. I was still unloading my groceries and she jerked the cart, then she let go and said I'll just get another one, and by the time she got back I was done and had moved my cart where she wanted it. She abruptly push the other cart away and went back to checking out my groceries. She must of been having a bad day and I wished her a better day. She clearly was not pleased. read more

If you shop here, check your expiration dates, especially on deli items and bakery. I have inadvertantly purchase expired lunchmeat and bread here more than one time and am now more attentive to expiration dates. Also, advertised meat, especially beef is more than likely out of stock. Don't know if this is a problem that is exclusive to this one location. read more

I'm so happy that there's a Smart & Final near me. This is the one place that I can go to for container boxes to hold my Christmas cheescake cupcakes. After searching EVERYWHERE for them (and not wanting to order online), they have a decent selection of catering containers. They don't have the exact muffin/cupcake container I needed but they had a good alternative that was nice looking and very easy to decorate for presents. It's a good place to get bulk items needed for mass cooking or for big parties. read more

With two growing boys, I shop here a lot! Good selection and I can generally get in and out quickly. Its a good alternative to Costco. I would have given a 4 star review, but sometimes their staff can be a bit unfriendly. However, there is one checker there (younger woman, cant think of her name, but she always has cool winged eyeliner..lol) who is always nice and friendly! I love the store when I want to skip Costco and get something's I need for work. The prices can be comparable to grocery stores and it's not always cheaper here. I had to knock off stars because there's been several times when the shelves are empty and I have to look for someone who works there to see if they had anymore items available. When I ask, I'll usually get the, "Hold on and let me check!" and after waiting and waiting, I see never see the person again or they are chatting with other employees. There is one female employee who is notorious for doing that. (A large female who usually is stocking the shelves with a grimace look on her face). If you don't like your job, then find another. You're not helping the company but hurting it, especially when several people where I work have had the same experiences. read more

do not sure the bathroom here!!! or any where outside your own home not covid safe this store does not have a lock pad and lets anyone and everyone use their bathroom they are not cleaned after every single use I asked a worker how often they are cleaned she said trash is taken out daily but as for toilets and floors maybe once a week gross! I walked in to the bathroom 1 no toilet paper waited for some bum to come out of the other bathroom who was smoking crack they need new fire alarm system he could have burned down the whole store as well as security this guy was eating stolen food and made a horrible mess in the bathroom when I notified and employee about the mess they said nothing can be done about the homeless people or thevies the company does not care about safety for its employees or customers and as for the mess he made it was un human corporate it is your job to fix this store or close it you can not have a store run by just 2 people hire more people!!!! read more

Bleh kinda small and scattered venue. Not really feeling the vibe in here. The selection is whatever and I feel like they can't decide whether or not they want to be a wholesale kind of company like Costco or if they want to be a small grocery type store. Had the pleasure of working with store manager Joel. Our company had a picnic for approximately 200 employees. I prepared a list of my desired items and took it to the store. Two days before my event, I went into the store to follow up with Joel. He assured me that they would have all requested items and if they didn't have it in store he would personally retrieve it from another store. The day of our picnic, I went to the store early to purchase my items, Joel was there and assisted with the transaction. I thanked him profusely and he humbly said anyone could have and would have gotten this task done. I told him it's beyond pulling the order, it was his great customer service skills, his genuine care and concern.
