That ended up being a bad experience, which led me back to an online search where I found this Enterprise 1 mile away. I called the national number and was quickly connected to a human. That representative was able to confirm the vehicles were available at this location and I was able to make a reservation with ease. Upon arriving, I was promptly greeted and told that the rep would be right with me as they were helping another customer. As soon as it was my turn, the rep thanked me for being patient and quickly and professionally helped me out. The following day I returned the vehicle and was helped out by a different rep. As I was waiting for my turn, this rep was on the phone reassuring a potential customer who apparently had an injury I was otherwise not feeling very well and had concerns about their reservation. The rep was patient, empathetic, and reassured the customer several times. As soon as it was my turn, the rep took care of me promptly and professionally, with a friendly smile and good personality. A shout out to the entire team and management as this reflects a healthy culture. They shout out to Immanuel who checked in when I got there and Salvador who helped me when I returned the vehicle. I will definitely be coming back here next time I need a rental vehicle.

    TLDNR: There's an enterprise about a mile away with excellent customer service…read more I needed a rental car because my vehicle was in the shop. I was able to make the reservation online and received a confirmation to pick up the vehicle about a half mile from my house. I arrived at the site to find one customer in the lobby and nobody around to help out. I walked back towards the offices, where I found all the doors closed. About five minutes later person working came into the front door and upon seeing me gave me the head nod but didn't say anything. I actually found this funny as it was so out of character for any customer service. After I greeted him, he asked me what I needed. I handed him my license and the confirmation number and after a couple minutes was informed that they did not have any vehicles on hand. He referred me to the Mountain View location and I asked him if they could give me their number or put me in contact with them. He told me I could look it up online. literally no personality, no customer support, and it seemed like being at work was the last place this guy wanted to be. I went back into the Hertz website to try to get some help from them. After working through all the automated messages, I still could not connect with a human being at the Mountain View location either. At that point, I did another search and was happy to find an Enterprise which was a mile away. That was a five star experience!

Then asked us to follow her to the car. She handed us the keys when she found the car, and then left us, going back inside the Hertz store. There was no "walk around" the car to check for dings or scratches. This was really strange because every other car I've rented, from several other car rental companies, always did this visual inspection. The first thing I noticed was that the car was dirty. The painted part and also the windows. They made no effort to give it a simple spray of water to remove any superficial dirt. Opened the back door to the cargo area and the first thing I noticed was that the back of the seats were dirty (the seats were a light white/beige). The second thing I noticed was that there was no shade for the cargo area, to hide what is put in that area. Most SUVs have this? The next thing I noticed was the Car Registration in the glove box. It showed the registration had expired the month before. Went back inside to ask about it. She said the car registration was updated in the system (computer), but they haven't sent the registration paperwork. She also pointed out that the license plate had a "permanent" registration sticker on it. Fast forward several months when I decided to rent another car through this Hertz location. The process was a little improved since the last time. Overall, Hertz offers a decent price for their car rentals and I will probably rent from them again in the future should the need arise. .

I gotta say - this was a pretty seamless and straight-forward experience - something which is unusual and rare when buying a used car. Here's what really stood out to me from start to finish: - Greg was quick to respond to my initial text - We arranged a time to meet at his lot and when I showed up 10 minutes early, he was already there. Thanks for being early and not making me wait around on my lunch break. Appreciate you for that big time. - When it came time to deal, we had some negotiation, but it was not high pressure. He was informative and knew the vehicle and showed me how some of the storage and seats flipped up for loading. Very professional, good attitude. - We agreed on a price and sat down to sign paperwork. Wow, this is probably the fastest and easiest car buying paperwork I've ever filled out. He was very organized and presented the paperwork thoroughly and really didn't waste any time. The paperwork exercise literally took 15 minutes total, although he didn't seem rushed, just organized. What a time saver! Sometimes you don't realize how valuable your time is until someone works efficiently like this and it takes much less time than you expected. -I've had the car for a day now and there have been no surprises. I knew a bit about this model car before the purchase and it has lived up to my expectation. The car drives great and is in EXCELLENT condition for being a 100k mile car. It's just what I was looking for and I'm glad we could do a deal. It was very nice to meet you and a big thanks for making everything so smooth and easy!
