How are ratings accurate when they come with a freebie? Let me guess? You found these guys through Craigslist? And when you got there? They asked for a review and you get a free oil change? Which is pretty much buying your review right? Ok so that's what they do. Like most dealers; they sweeten up the deal and make you feel extra special, but once they've butter you up? And you drive out... That's when the problems begin. It's obvious these cars are not inspected, have been involved in car accidents (even though they don't show up on the Carmax). They really do have major mechanical problems so... they make sure that car is drivable ; And would probably make it past the 30 day mark. All you have to do is check the back of their lot. It's full of corroded cars and the damaged cars they'll send to the front of the lot once they've fixed them. MIKE, will sit there and lie to your face for months about how they're doing everything they can after they sell you a LEMON! They sold me a crap lemon car, they knew they sold me a crap car, they also gave me a ton of trash loaners that also broke down. They will then forward you to another dealer who is just as shady as they are, all to find out they're all working together. Mike for starters; gave me the runaround for literally 2 months, claiming that The finance company (Sol Acceptance) wouldn't get back at them with the available replacement cars available for the lemon they gave me. Claiming that they struggled to get in touch with the company and that it took a while to get the cars because they had to drive them from a far location when the GPS showed them in the same city literally right on the other side of the freeway. If I had the ability to give them a negative star, I would do so in a heartbeat! They buy used cars from CL and auctions. Do a quick fix and resell them. But they know their lemon car will trash out after 30 days. They claimed they did me a favor by letting me borrow 3-4 cars that also broke down while getting my car fixed, but truthfully they were just trying to cover their tracks. Drivesmart works directly with Sol Acceptance and other little hood dealers to scam people who have low or bad credit. Alex is just an employee who takes orders from above, but Mike? That's a whole other shade of "shadiness". Don't let the friendly demeanor fool you. If I were you? I'd look elsewhere. Your 5 stars for a free oil change isn't worth the hassle. I contacted Brian Ponce at 3pm on a Sunday and scheduled an appointment to meet with him the same day at 5pm. I've had my fair share of dealings with car salesmen over the past 20 years but I always go in with a positive attitude. I arrived at the dealership and notified Brian that I was outside. Honestly the only bad thing I can say is their lot is small which means the selection isn't what you would call bountiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond the call and got me financed when no one else would. I got there around 2 and by 6 I was on the road in my "new" vehicle. (I even found $1.21 in change in the glove box. Call that a cash-back bonus.) Everyone was willing to chip in, there's no slick sales tactics. I used to sell cars, so I appreciate people who shoot straight. A couple people even bring their dogs. I have a service dog and they enjoyed meeting each other and playing together. I recommend this dealership to anyone with "iffy" credit, especially if you've been turned down at the big dealerships. With used cars from a small lot it's always a little bit of a gamble. We bought a car with a sunroof and when we took it home the sunroof wasn't working. We were bummed but otherwise happy with the car. We told them about it, thinking that they weren't obligated to fix it so they probably wouldn't. After driving my 2001 Honda Accord into the ground. (God bless her she had almost 250,000 miles on her and a cross country road trip under her belt she was going to be put to rest.) I needed something new. I knew gas could go back up to four over night. This is California and gas prices do wacky things and are more volatile than anywhere else so I needed a Hybrid. I did a quick search on Cars.com and found a Civic Hybrid 2006 with 86,000 miles on it. for $7900. I bargained down $500 and they even gave me $1000 for the old road warrior. I really wanted to bargain down further but $6500 For a Hybrid Civic with only $86k. Already a terrific deal! Most Civic I was seeing online were like 113k for about $8000 and They weren't even Hybrids. They let me drive it off the lot using the old Honda as a down payment. Also looking around the lot I saw plenty of pretty good deals. There was beautiful Mini cooper that looked great on the lot for $7900. That actually looked like a steal.
