As similar to other reviews they tried to overcharge my grandparents. My grandparents being in their 70s were quoted 24k total worth of dental work WITH INSURANCE. They attempted to persuade my grandparents to apply for a credit card to pay for this ridiculous unethical amount. They declined of course. I would give 0 stars if I could. The dentist here is incompetent and has scammed my mother and sister for her braces. My sister has had her braces for 5 years and seen no significant progress. They charge her $140 a month JUST to change the color of her lace and don't even do a routine check up. Do not go here - waste of money and time read more

RUN!! Do not waste your money here. I am having to get their work fixed because the $1,000 crown I got done here was fit loosely and is causing pain and discomfort. My new dentist disappointedly asked who had done my previous dental work. And they're crooks. After not visiting for over a year, I took one of their calls, and it was Jackie trying to schedule me for a regular annual follow-up. When I told her I found a new dentist that offered higher levels of anesthesia (I am a nervous gal at the dentist) she tried to shame me saying no one needs higher levels of anesthesia for a root canal, as if she knew better than I what I (the patient) needed. After realizing she could not convince me to return, she nonchalantly said "oh by the way, it appears you owe us money still, we made a mistake in your billing and you owe us about $500, you will receive a bill in the mail." I received it almost two years later. Honestly, at first, I refused to pay it, but it wasn't worth my time in the end, and I paid it to get these guys off my back once and for all (plus I didnt want this to affect my credit score). If that's not bad enough, I got my wisdom teeth pulled here, and they brought another dentist in that was able to provide laughing gas. I opted not to get bone grafts in because I did my research and didn't need bone grafts. (Plus, they were like $400 each.) Jackie tried very hard to sell me on these, but I refused. Well, while under laughing gas, Jackie tried to once again convince me to sign and agree to bone grafts!! Luckily, I had enough wits about me to deny once again, but that is so unethical! Not to mention illegal. My new dentist is Dr. Cho in Long Beach. Less expensive, amazing, long-lasting work, higher level of care. He is AMAZING. Personally, i'm not too experienced with going to the dentist. But let me tell you, that i wish zero stars was a rating on yelp, because these dentists and employees are scammers, and will try to convince you of extra dental procedures that you don't actually need. They lied to my face and said i "need" something called sensitization which is complete bs. i only needed cavity fillings and x rays, and the lady i was speaking to sounds VERY unsure about her information, so bad that she even had to pause, think, and ask ME what day it was!!!!! And, their walls are all torn up and the rooms are messy, the trash cans have debris hanging from the hem, not fully inserted into the trash, which causes cross-contamination, SOMETHING WE NEED TO BE PREVENTING DURING COVID19 PANDEMIC!! I tried this dentist without seeing the reviews on yelp and boy did I regret it! I can see why it has such a low rating. They charge you for extra things you don't really need, used scare tactics to basically force me to pay for dental work that is unnecessary and costly even when I specifically asked them to not do anything that was unnecessary. One of my major issues is making "recommendations" that are unneeded. And really recommendation is not a good word to use because the way it was pitched to me, the proposed treatment plan was what I HAD to get done because my mouth was in bad shape. For example, the dentist recommend one root canal and possibly a second one. I expressed my concern about how I was afraid of root canals and worried about the expenses. The dental assistant who reviewed my expenses with me said that the porcelain crown, which my insurance did not cover, was better than the metal crown and though the metallic one was cheaper and covered by my insurance (which she did not tell me, I found out after calling my insurance), she expressed that I needed the porcelain one because it will be better in the long run. I really felt like she pitched the porcelain crown as it was a better choice health wise and not that it was basically just a difference of a cosmetically aesthetic preference. I'll chuck that out to maybe I didn't ask more specifically if it was just a cosmetic difference, but when I asked if there was any charge that could possibly skip out on because I was worried about the cost, she didn't even pitch the metallic crown as a feasible option. What really upsets me is that the dentist said I really needed a root canal even though I had NO PAIN. I thought this was fishy and sure enough when I went to another dentist, he did not need to do a root canal! The other issue that really upsets me is that they recommended a deep cleaning, which I wasn't surprised, but they were charging me 1,000$ for it and I did not have all the money so I opted for just doing half the mouth (522$ to be exact) and asked that if there was anyway this could be cheaper. They said the only thing they could do is either offer to get me a financing option or split the cost and do the work little by little, but she responded, "we don't recommend pushing off the work because the longer you wait the worse everything will get." Understandable, but again a deep cleaning for 1000$ sounded so expensive. I called my insurance to see why they didn't cover this, but it turns out they did cover the procedure. However the cost was because the dentist office was charging me for irrigation and antibiotics which again they did not tell me was an option to not have, I thought it was a standard part of the deep cleaning procedure. But when I went to my other dentist, they only charged me 70$ for the other half of my mouth!!! Which was because the irrigation and antibiotic was not necessary! They had also charged me for using a "needle-less" anesthetic during the deep cleaning procedure (which my insurance does not cover) but they MOST DEFINITELY used a needle and honesty I was so turned off by them that I just did not have the energy or patience to go back to complain about this 25$ expense. I had already paid for it and had only found out about this after when I called my insurance. They were nice but they definitely did not take into consideration my financial situation or offer me choices when I shared with them the costs was something that prevented me from doing dental work. I even said I preferred to not get this mouth wash they were charging me for but they said it was necessary to make sure my mouth didn't get infected after my deep cleaning... i feel like i just got pressured to get work done and I felt like they took advantage of the fact that I had no knowledge about dental work and what my insurance charged. Called in on Thursday spoke to Adriana, she was fabulous was able to secure an appointment on Friday. Please note that I'm so scared of the dentist. Went in due to a toothache, after X-rays and scan which was not has bad as I thought it would be. Staff was very patient with me and allowed me the time I needed to get through the process. Everything was explained and I never felt judged (had been a while since I was in that dental chair) I was encouraged that I was addressing my current situation. My toothache was resolved (there was no way of saving my tooth) I have several appointments in my future however I'm very much pleased with my experience. Very professional, compassionate, patient staff - hope this helps anyone that is anxious about going to the dentist. read more

I have to admit I haven't been to the dentist in a long time because I previously had a bad experience but due to severe pain I had no choice. All I have to say is that I was not only pleased with staff but most of all my teeth look great. I had crowns done, cavities filled and a night guard was made. This place is a dental chop shop, they will rip you off. If you want to pay $150 for a little numbing gel, this is your place. First and only visit, seen by a female dentist, looks in my mouth, this tooth has to go, needs an implant, this tooth has to go, needs an implant, this tooth could possibly get a buildup, our specialist has to review and determine your treatment but she only comes once a month and was here yesterday, You need a deep cleaning (which is covered by my insurance) Quoted $550, get this, $150 for numbing gel, anyone ever been charged for numbing gel, probably $3 worth. $400 for "flushing" I guess they will be using a water pick! I say no, just standard deep cleaning, she tells me the dentist will not see me unless I get full treatment. (Blackmail much?) Went to a different Dentist, 3 standard crowns, including a root canal, less than $1500. Save yourself a lot of money, Go somewhere else. Keep in mind, oral anti bionics are covered, so when a Dental Hygentist wants to share you hundreds of dollars for an extra 10 minutes of her time and using a syringe to apply an antibiotic, remind her her she is not a heart surgeon, so an average of 1500 to 2000 dollars an hour for her service is just out of line. read more
