If I wanted Digital coupons I go to Amazon. Having workers hold the ground on using digital coupons by not giving us the coupons in store is frustrating. This fourth of July weekend is the worst. More coupons offers on the isle and no way to get the coupon. Heck I would bring in five carts it Smiths would let me have access to the digital coupons without have to go online. The concept is annoying. Please do not tell me the work i need to do to get the coupons. Let the checkers decide to give me the price. We will have a face to face experience. I can't get that on Amazon. If I am going to work on the computer to get digital coupons. Then I will learn to buy groceries on Amazon. Kroger strength is you still have people in the store, I believe your digital coupons will drive a wedge between me and Kroger. Admitting that I can almost fall out my front door and land at Smith's I simply cannot fathom a reason aside from convenience to visit; the prices all higher than Walmart and the selection no better. Cramped and crowded, though admittedly with a good number of cashiers and baggers hard at work I chuckled with amusement at the slot machines at the store's exit but less so at the anemic appearing celery at $1.49 a bundle, and even less so at the 99cent heads of lettuce that closely resemble the size of a Cabbage Patch doll from the 80s. Good in a pinch and apparently frequent to offer sales I'll likely be back when produce begins to run low and I simply don't want to drive anywhere, but alas this cannot be my grocery store of choice. read more

Open 24 hours...this grocery chain is excellent and more cheaper than other competition such as vons. Their store brand kroger offers value and quality that rivals name brands. I dont recommend coming on weekends because saturdays and especially sundays are packed! Try coming weekdays or late night if you can. I do love the fact they have self check out machines. This happened a few months ago and I just realized the review was still a draft: I just had probably the MOST DISGUSTING experience you can imagine and to top it off I was called a liar! About 2 hours ago I purchased a pack of razors from Smith's Food and Drug Stores , when I opened the package I was shocked, discussed and almost threw up when I saw that the brand new razors that I just opened myself had hair in them. I could not believe that I just touched someone's--hair. The only explanation I could think of is maybe someone used and turned it to the store which is shitty, but the store should inspect the returned products before sealing them back and putting them in the shelves. I drove back to the store, stood in the line and finally got to talk to the customer service associate. I opened the package and put the razors on the counter for her to see what I just had to deal with. Let me tell you this... I don't know if I was more shocked about the fact that the brand new razors I just purchased had hair in them or the fact that she stood back, looked at me from head to toe and asked me to pick up the razors and put them back in the package because she does not have gloves on and she's concerned about her health and safety. I said excuse me? How about MY health and safety? You are asking me to pick up someone else's hair that I got from YOUR store? Or are you implying that I'm a liar? I said fine, I'm not picking it up and I need to speak to someone about MY health and safety. Her manager came in and he said that's fine, I'll give you your money back. Guys, this item was on sale for less than $7 and the manager and the associate made feel like I just made up the story to get the money back. Can you imagine how humiliated I felt in front of everyone there? My time driving back there and standing in the line is worth A LOT more than the razors and I could care less about the f**ing $7. This was the worst I was ever treated. I did not know what to say... I just left, but I'm definitely never going back there. What a shame to treat your customers in such way Smith's. I live nearby and shop here for convenience. I wanted to post because this store continuously sells meat with way too much fat hidden in the package. Please see photos. Why I still shop here is beyond me! For the umpteenth time, I cooked a beef roast from this Smith's that was inedible. There was fat all throughout the meat and once I was finished carving it, there wasn't enough of this 2lb roast for one person let alone a family of four. It was disgusting. One other time I was choosing a pork roast and two workers from the meat depart told me not to get what was on the shelf. One went back and cut a nice roast for me. This, I guess, is what you have to do to get a good quality roast at this store. This is the same store that two years ago sold me a gift card that had already been used in California. I got my money back except for a $6.00 replacement charge which I really should not have been liable for since I was the victim of fraud at their hands. There are many other markets in the area. This store's listed closing time is 1 AM. I show up at 9:30, which isn't really a unreasonable hour, and most of the lights in the back where the dairy and meat is located are already shut off. l don't have any visual issues so it wasn't a huge problem but more of a minor hassle. However, it was tremendously off-putting to be honest. It just sends the customer the "we don't really want you here" message in no uncertain terms. I get it that you have unstocked stock and pallets all over the store, I can navigate around that. But turning off the lights in the freezer and refrigerated sections while it is three and a half hours from closing time is just horrible horrible, let me repeat it one more time, horrible, customer service. read more

Convenient, useful for accumulating fuel points, nice floral section and occasionally well-stocked bake at home bread. That's it. Other reviewers have mentioned the bumper car routine: true. The crowded entrance and produce section: true. The lack of milk (especially organic and eggs!): true. Vons has a way better selection of organic everything and their prices may be higher but I have had less spoilage than from Smith's. This location has some benefits, specialty employees: floral, wine, sushi, cheese and deli are educated and helpful. Cashiers get to know you and are really friendly. Perhaps coming from a cold and rushed city like NYC, we have different expectations than previous reviewers... but everyone at this location has been nice, friendly. They however cannot change the poor store layout: why in the world is the milk a 1/4 mile from the produce?! When I want to walk, it's outside... enjoying the sun, not in a store to grab five things in half an hour... Pro tip; walk into the store, go past the cashiers, to the books and pharmacy: there is the dairy and sundries, then swing back past the cashiers and there is the produce and bakery and you're at the self-checkout. Your half-mile walk done for the day! Also, for the life of me, I cannot understand why they group certain items together. For two weeks I looked for corn starch- for frying and cooking savory dishes. But I finally found it.. next to icing sugar! Not next to the cornmeal as it is in most east-coast supermarkets. Quality, that's another issue. For weeks I was returning items because they went stale on the shelf. C'est la vie..Avoid buying stuff from the center aisles if you can - not because of this store but in general. Flour, sugar, some grains and pasta. Never had a problem with that stuff here but honestly it's all we need from the center aisles. read more

This has been my store for about a year but I guess I will be going to a different one now. For the past couple of months, the bakery has been out of cherry turnovers. First I was told they had no lead baker, but would be hiring a new one. Now they have this "new" baker, and I still haven't seen turnovers for over a month. Mind you, that may seem silly to you, but it's my ONE treat for the weekend. They said they only order so much, etc. I spoke with the manager, who said he'd look into it-twice!! Still no change. So that tells me my bisiness isn't important to them! Say bye-bye to several hundred a month from me...just because your bakers don't know how to order! The checkers suggest calling and having them hold for me but why should I have to do that?? Just order enough product that all your customers can purchase...especially on Friday! read more

This West Charleston Smith's Grocery Store is the best I have been in since moving here in 2014 from the east coast. We have been in other Smith's but this one is the best. The staff members are so polite. Everyone that came across our path we received a HELLO. THE SEAFOOD DEPT. The black american gentlemen was very nice we did not feel rushed at all. I was in one of the scooters and while my husband and I was looking at the selection the gentleman said how are you today, he did not pressure us into buying anything he did say let me know if you see something you like. That was an A+ to me. Customer service is very important to me because I waited tables for 30 yrs. Needless to say we did not buy anything we had already bought salmon earlier in the week. My husband felt something slippery or sticky on the floor the Mgr. had just past him so he told him and immediately he ask an employee to take care of that. The Mgr. caucasian man was nice as well. The Caucasian man that worked in the deli department was not polite at all. He did not have any customers in his department. NO HELLO or may I help you. He did say are you ready as if I was annoying him from whatever he was doing. I asked for 8 thighs. I ask him are the breast up front and he said with a nasty attitude the breast are always up front as if I was suppose to know that. All throughout the store we kept crossing path with MARIA. My husband had ask her where can we find the baking soda. After that we kept running into her and we just kept laughing. I've only run in here a couple of times. I'm not a Smith's shopper. I'm an Albertson's and VONS shopper. But when I have been in here the store is clean and they have lots of items available. Honestly, the only reason I run here to buy stuff is because they sell these Elmo tablets you can put in your bathtub and they change the water a different color and my kids love it. They also sell bathtub fizz balls. I would give it more stars but I have nothing else to rate them on. The parking lot is a headache. read more

Smith's was my girlfriend and my choice of grocery stores. We loved it and the prices were better than other grocery stores near us. It was right next to the house and very convenient. Smith's has just recently changed to no longer accepting VISA. I've never heard of a place no longer accepting VISA and only accepting American Express and MasterCard. It's usually the other way around. Smith's has lost our business and that's really unfortunate. We are hoping for the switch back but for now we are moving grocery stores. read more

I love this Smith's and I drive across town just to go to it, despite having another Smith's nearby. The produce is always great, they have a good vegetarian section, nice selection of spirits, it's clean, and the staff is great, especially the night-shift staff. read more

Have been a customer os the Kroger Company for over 60 years....just walked out of one of their stores frustrated for the first time in my 60 years. I went in to take advantage of some AMAZING sale prices on some items. I discovered these item required a "digital" coupon. I stood and tried for at least 5 minutes if not more to " create an account" with no luck. Went to customer service where the young lady said they have no way to do that for me....I understand they want to market via email to me just wish this long time customer could have taken advantage of the prices given to more tech savvy people than myself....sad day will have to reconsider this relationship....off to Smart and Final no games, cards, or gimmicks to deal with read more

Love the store. I'm there all the time. The guy behind the meat counter has zero customer service. Miserable face, not wanting to help, felt like maybe it was a chore for him to be there. I get brisket there alot. Today, they had NONE out so I asked this man behind the counter if there's a 3 lb pkg. He brings out 2 6 lbers. Hey, can you have these cut? He tells me they can't do that. So since the Vons closed down the street, I've been coming here more when I'm in town. It's not a very large store, but it does the job for all your shopping needs. Being from Oregon, Smiths is owned by Kroger, who also owns our local Fred Meyers chain. Las Vegas NEEDS something like Fred Meyers. And since Smiths AND Fred Meyers are very similar in the way of groceries, they should consider opening larger Smiths that carry things other than groceries. This store has been remodeled and should be the flagship for other stores! Starbucks inside. Clean, friendly employees and they actually have a CHECKER FOR EVERY LANE!! Yes! When they don't have a line, they stand at the end directing customers to their lane! Love it, love it, love it! Employees have a good attitude and are friendly at this store. Never again. My wife had 3 mistakes made in 2 months including changing to generics without advising her and not in stock items. I on the other hand had an even worse problem. They improperly filled my pain meds twice in the last 3 months. Supposed to be 90 pills and only filled for 60. When I immediately before walking away from the counter asked the clerk Bethani to correct the problem and was told if I want to give them back I will refund your money. I said I'm out of my pain meds now her answer in the most snippy insensitive voice well you need to go back to your Dr and get a new script. This is a controlled substance and you can't get another script till next month. So for the last month I had to endure a lot of pain due to allocation of what was 60 pills instead of 90. Needless to say I as my wife has moved To Walgreens and will never return or recommend this poorly staffed mistake laden pharmacy. Beware of this pharmacy they will cause you grief then I go to pick up the last prescription because I had to they raise the price from $11-$49 and claim the cost of the drug went up I just got off the phone with my insurance company they say that's nonsense. I don't live close to this Smith's but have come here a few times. This is a large store that is always clean and organized. What I like most is the sushi, prepared fresh. It's a bit pricey, but it's nice to go there while it's being prepared and hasn't been sitting in the cooler for hours. Today they were giving samples of sushi, which was pretty cool. Their produce seems to be of good quality. The store seems very well-stocked and maintained. read more

I just moved to this side of town, from the Green Valley area (where I've always lived, the Henderson area). I used to be one of those, who believed that Henderson is much safer and the people more kind. Until I moved into the Las Vegas zip code & right by this Smith's store. I've always shopped with Smith's which is why I chose this store by my home in the first place. My first shopping experience at this Smith's store was hands down, the most amazing experience. I was greeted by every single employee I'd walk past, the deli dept. employees are so down to earth and friendly as ever. My experience with the deli dept alone was like having an experience of the TV show Cheers (where everybody knows your name). The cashier who assisted me was the kindest, happiest, sweet person I've ever met. When my card wouldn't work at first, I became embarrassed and uncomfortable but this cashier was so understanding and comforting. And then to top it all off, the bagger assisted me to my truck to help with my many many bags, since I had with me my 2 small children. I've never been asked if they could help me with my bags at ANY grocery store...EVER. But everytime I've gone to this Smith's, I'm always asked. I will never shop at a different Smith's unless I absolutely have to. read more

Overall, my shopping experience was good. However, the cashier by the name of Joe was not very helpful. My husband and I had to turn the carousel around just to pick up our bag of groceries. He went out of his way with the previous customer to make sure her grocery bags were handed to her and also assisted with placing them in the shopping cart. This Smith's is one of the nicer ones that I've been to. The bakery section has some nice bagels, especially the ones that have jalepeño, cheese and bacon. The prices at Smith's are about the same everywhere, but this one is very clean, and the employees are friendly. They also have free samples every now and again. read more

I went there April the 8th around 4:00 pm. I found a guy walking around holding his dog. The dog looked like it weighed 15 or so pounds. He had the dog half way in the freeze section on the pizza isle. I went to the manager and asked what the policy on animals in the store was. She went and spoke to the guy for about 5 minutes then walked away. The dog was allowed to stay in the store. The dog had no special vest or collar indicating it was a service dog. When i questioned the outcome they told me to go and say something to him. That is not my job to confront shoppers..I have been a Smiths shopper for 20 plus years but never again. read more
