They take walk in's. Upon arrival, there was an customer ahead of me. I waited 5 minutes before they took my car in. Once they inspected my car, they told me I would fail because of the check engine light. The technician told me he would run the test and see what the issue is, then recommended me to go to my mechanic, get it fixed and I could bring my car back to get re-tested, free of charge. Everything else was fairly quick, I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Thank you to the technician, he was honest and straight forward. That's all I ask. I've been here before...I believe this place was called something else and run by one guy. I didn't remember the or recognize the name, but I think it was owned/run by one guy...perhaps he sold the business or retired...matters not. I do however remember the location well. I remembered the big hump you need to get over at the entrance, especially if your car doesn't have the greatest ground clearance. It can definitely be challenging. I sent out several requests to get a quote for a regular smog check. Smog Check Plus was one of the quickest to reply and had the best price as well. These guys are fast and efficient. No BS. They smogged my car and sent me on my way within 15 minutes or so. Luckily they weren't too busy when I got there. Right when I left, there were several other cars that pulled in... Very quick and efficient service, no wait both times I stopped by. I've been coming here a few years now and they are always great. Make sure to check their site for specials since I think the price is much higher if you don't do so. This time my car failed the smog check the first time after recently being reset via the ODB port. Fortunately they give you 1 free retest if your car fails. The catalyst and oxygen sensor ODB monitors were not ready when I had the test done so I failed on the spot and had to do a "drive cycle" to get them ready again. I drove down 101 for a while, keeping the car at around 55 mph with cruise control and slowing down without breaking on some off ramps and everything was fine then. I learned my lesson for next time to always use a ODB reader before going for the smog to test to make sure all of the I/M monitors are OK/ready. I returned the next day and the test passed. Both times I'd say I was in and out in about 15 minutes. read more

They have a small waiting area with vending machines. Overall process from parking to checking out: less than 20 min. I received the discount so my smog check was under $40. The only thing I would be wary is the entrance is very small - there are signs but felt it may be easy to miss. They also have a sign about the bump. For someone who isn't comfortable to drive in small lots- only 2 available parking spaces in the front so may be a bit of issue if they are crowded. I made a trip out to Smog Check Plus today to smog one of our vehicles coming up for DMV renewal. As I drove down Berryessa Road, I had to be careful not to miss the place because it is a quick right and then you can't U turn at the upcoming stop light. When I got into their parking lot, there was one other customer ahead of me. Since it was a weekday morning, the wait time was very good. Once they finished that customer, I got checked in and they gave me an estimate of 15 minutes to do the smog check. I asked if they were honoring the price on their web page and they said yes and explained the details. I waited patiently in their waiting room that had TV, chairs, and vending machines with snacks and sodas. There was also some bench seats outside if you decided to wait outside. After a little bit of waiting they complete my smog check and everything turned out as expected. Tony did a great job, checked me out, and I was on my way. Came here after getting recommendations from Yelp! Since we were near (around 6 minutes far from the area) we decided to check it out. After checking in they told us that the smog check for our 2015 Toyota Sienna would take about 10 minutes, and our bill was about $58.
