I will say the food is good but the service is abysmal. There AC is kept at freezer temperature witch makes it totally uncomfortable for grown men let alone your lady. Bar tender has to many tables and unable to clean off or address the needs of peaches sitting at the bar. My advice would be not to bother and to skip this place. read more

Wayyyy overpriced for the amount of food you get. I ordered the chicken finger platter which was almost $14. It came with one side. I got the steamed broccoli. I had 4 little pieces of broccoli and 4 little chicken strips that were more nugget then strip. It tasted good but was was more child sized then adult sized. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich and said it tasted fine. But for around $12 it was just a small chicken breast on a bun with some bleu cheese and lettuce. But the most offensive thing was we ordered one of their mega shakes. It cost $8.50. It was tiny. The shake itself tasted like vanilla milk, the whipped cream was either old or not shaken as it was liquid. We were expecting this big yummy shake and it was smaller then a shake I have gotten at any other sit down restaurant for double the price. Our waitress was nice. I'm not sure where to start. We had a group of about 10 of us for dinner. We called ahead but was told there are no reservations. So, we just showed up, but did not have to wait too long. We were seated then ignored. And ignored. And ignored. We did finally get some water, but an hour into our visit, we started asking if we could go ahead and order. We were offered more water. We had several different servers, and none of them seemed to want to help us. An hour and a half into our visit, we finally got our salads. Then it took 30 more minutes to get our food. The food was meh. After such a wait you hope that the food will just knock your socks off. Well, it didn't. It was so cold in the restaurant, some of our group had to go outside to warm up. We would've told a manager, but we couldn't find one. At the two and a half hour mark, we still had not gotten our checks to pay. Then trying to get someone to take our money was almost impossible. Today I decided to try Smokey Bones in Bowling Green KY. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Salad. The salad was quite large and underwhelming. it's never good when you see the brown core of the lettuce in your salad. Is that even edible? The sheer volume of jalapeño peppers was enough to burn down a small village. I like peppers but not THAT many. The restaurant itself is extremely amazing in size and you feel like you are in a nice place when you walk in. While my salad was subpar, I must admit that the nachos (the man next to me had) looked very good. And based on the noises he was emitting, he was really loving them. I also noticed other food that looked more appealing that my order. So, I will return to try other things. The thing that surprised me most was my request to watch a premier league soccer game at the bar. Apparently, the manager must approve. Since I made my request well before I ordered, I was assured that he would come out and change the channel. Twenty five minutes into the game, the manager is still MISSING IN ACTION. My husband was craving Bar-B-Q so we pulled in to give Smokey bones a try. I'm glad we did it was an excellent place to eat. The inside was so appealing to the eye, the service was excellent and the food was even better. We got a 3 meat combo(ribs,pulled pork and smoked sausages) and 2 sides (bake beans and fries) The servings were big that 2 of us ate from 1 plate. The food came to us in a timely manner, hot, fresh, and delicious. The ribs were falling off the bones, the pulled pork was on spot and the sausages were to die for. Manager said the advertised ribs were a special rib different from the special rib. Told him consumer only knows ribs are ribs. They have false advertising on their outdoor sign as well as web site which should explain Special Only ribs. Plus waitress never asked any of us if we wanted the special advertised ribs!! We stayed an extra 30 min thinking our bill was getting corrected. I asked the 2 girls that seat people what the managers name was and they looked at me and said they didn't know!! Visited Smokey Bones on Saturday @ 6pm...not overly busy but a good crowd watching SEC Basketball. They had one bartender (Kayla) taking care of the entire bar that was pretty full. She finally recognized I was new to the bar and asked me "you know what you wanted to drink" like I had a menu of their offerings. Got the menu and I ordered a Boulevard Tank 7...at $8.25 a pint a bit pricey for a draft but it is a really good beer. Decided to try the Pick Three Favorites so I could get a sampling of the various meats available...took Kayla 10 minutes to come back to me for my order. Was going to order Texas-Style Beef Brisket as one of the meats but Kayla told me they were out of Brisket. I was a bit shocked seeing as you can't order till after 4pm and they sold out in two hours??? Based on her attitude...I am guessing this happens often. My Plan B was to try the Smoked Spiced Sausage, Sliced Smoked Chicken Breast, and Grilled Bourbon BBQ Chicken Breast with a Baked Potato and Creamy Coleslaw as the sides. The smoked spiced sausage had an interesting flavor, but by itself was not impressive. Used some of their sweet BBQ sauce to dip and the flavor improved. The sliced smoked chicken breast was dry and flavorless. Had I been able to catch Kayla's attention or if she stopped by to check on me I would have told her. Instead added some BBQ sauce which made it OK to eat. My guess is this sits in a warming tray and it gets dried out there...not a stellar part of the trio. The grilled bourbon BBQ chicken breast was good and the grill flavor with the BBQ sauce made this the best of the trio of meats. The baked potato side was nothing special and the coleslaw is mayonnaise based and good. Overall the meal was just OK, the service at the bar, making a customer feel welcome, even checking on a customer was non-existent. This wasn't only me...I noted it for a few of the patrons sitting near me. You could have 5-Star food here but the poor service and attitude would keep me from coming back. First of all, our server was Bradford and he was awesome. Very nice, personable and accommodating to boot. Second, the food was really good! I was so hungry that we failed to take pictures before digging in but my daughter had the kids pork sandwich and Mac n Cheese and said it was really good. My husband I split the pit masters plate and two sides, which consisted of ribs, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, garlic toast and we chose baked beans (amazing!) and a loaded baked potato for an extra $1 as our sides. We ordered an appetizer to share - a dish that had cheese fries, nachos, wings and fried pickles. The fries were good. The pickles tasted good, but they were very greasy. The wings were burnt. The nachos were cold! I mean the meat tasted like it had come from the fridge! We complained & they brought more nachos & wings. The nachos were warm-ish, but then we found a huge hair on them and were done! GROSS!! The replacement wings were ok, but we had lost our appetites. Awful!!! We had a wonderful server, and he was attentive to anything we could've possibly needed! Food portions are very large, so you can expect to be getting what you pay for.
