Geesh! Let me start by saying I am only giving 2 stars because our waiter was really nice and friendly. Upon arriving it just seemed so chaotic. Apparently we arrived at the same time that the staff was trying to figure out how to accommodate a party of 10 (only one person had arrived). They were short staffed but wanted to see how they would sit that party. After asking a few times what was going on and getting conflicting information we were finally told that they could sit our party of 4. It was a misunderstanding as they took us to be a part of the party of 10. (chaos as mentioned) The wings were not good at all, but we all were extremely tired and hungry so we suffered through. One co-worker ordered a steak meal with sides and it looked like a child's plate. My other two co-workers ordered wings, such as myself and as stated they were not good. They were cooked too long but the glaze was good, if that made up for anything. There was a piece of hair on the orange that accompanied my co-workers drink, but the bartender made her a new one. Even though I don't eat pork (AT ALL) and can't stand the smell this was a last minute decision based on the time of the evening. I ordered a burger and fries and I must say my food was really good. My burger was juicy, the toppings we fresh, my fries were still warm (not soggy at all) and I topped it off with a shot of whiskey! Smokey Bones what has happened? While Darryl's next door is packed there are few eating here. When I first walked in the hostess didn't seem friendly I greeted her before she did me. Everyone was very blah. The food was a shocker. The ribs weren't juicy but kind of dry. They lacked meat in them smh. The baked potatoe was small and overcooked. Placed Curbside order online , web site never mentioned anything about curb side service not available "after dark", on the order it even asked for vehicle description and instructed me to park in a curbside pickup designated parking spot when I arrive. ... I arrived and and pulled into a vacant Curbside designated spot and dialed the number on the sign ... dialed it 9 times to be exact, it only went to voicemail, no one in the restaurant EVER answered the phone, we drove around to door and my associate went inside and told the lady we were picking up a curb side order and we had been at the curbside pick up area trying to call ... her reply, "we don't take orders outside after dark because this is a bad part of town" ... if a service is only available certain hours it should be clearly posted or just disable the feature on the website when it's not available ., to offer that service and not even have the decency to answer the phone and say you need to come inside to pick up your order is the poorest example of customer service. read more

I have been to this restaurant many times before and wanted to go back since I was in the area. When I arrived I knew that the restaurant was packed because the large parking lot was really full. Once inside I was told that there was a 45 minute wait but I stayed since I really wanted to eat here. We ended up only having to wait about 30-35 minutes. By the time we were seated many people that were in the restaurant had left at this point. Our waitress, Joselynn, was pleasant but did not really check on too much after we got our food. She did respond to our requests when we made them. But we never got any water refills during our visit. The food took a long time to be prepared. I ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and the sweet brown sugar wings with a side of fries. My wings were overcooked and dry. There was big clumps of Parmesan on my wings and totally not what i expected. I did not care for the sweet brown sugar sauce either. If I did not have somewhere else to be I definitely would have sent them back. The fries were ok. I was totally disappointed with this meal especially since I chose it. I will not be returning to this restaurant based upon this visit and the last visit when there was an extend wait for service as well. If I could give this place a -1, I would. This has honestly been the worst restaurant experience I had in my life, and I travel the world and have been to hundreds if not thousands of restaurants. Only reason we went here was because my family from out of the country liked the food 5 years ago when they were here the last time. I read the most recent reviews before we went and that should have told me already what we would be getting in to. When we walked in, there were only6 tables occupied and some people at the bar. We were told by the hostess that the wait would be about 1 hour... I asked why and was told they are short staffed. OK, common problem these days, so I said we will wait at the bar and get a drink. A third of the bar was occupied by guests, the rest of the bar was filled with dirty plates and used cups, so we had nowhere to sit. So, we took one of the high tables and I ordered drinks from the bar. Bartender wasn't really that friendly, but I think she was also overwhelmed, because she was the only one there to make dinks. One staff member then came over to me to tell me that we can't stand at the high-top table, so I said "where else do you want us to stand or sit, you have a dirty bar and apparently everyone is too buys cleaning it up, including you", so we stayed and I got my drinks at the bar and served us our drinks. Mind you, we didn't take the table from anyone because nobody was waiting and even if, they could not have been seated there anyhow because they had no waiters to begin with... so what's the big deal? We watched the dynamics in this place, and it was ridiculous. I run a company with over 200 employees, and the employees that worked as waiters or "Want to be Managers" (I wouldn't' call them Managers, they don't deserve to be called that) should all get fired. Instead of cleaning up dirty areas at the bar or anywhere else in the restaurant, they did absolutely nothing most of the time. One of them (in a different colored shirt, so maybe someone higher up) sat down, played on his cell phone for about 10 minutes and then decided to go back to work. The 2 hostesses just chatted with each other at least 30 minutes doing absolutely nothing and the only 3 working were the waiters that served the few tables that were occupied and the bartender. Then we were seated. Plenty of tables around us were not cleaned up so you felt like you are in the middle of a battlefield. Not very appealing. I asked the waitress why it was so empty and she said quote "It is Gate City Blvd, what do you expect?" to which I responded: well, the place next door doesn't seem to have the problem because it is crowded and they have big crowd of people waiting outside to be seated... and she said: "well, if you don't like it here you are free to go over there"... that is certainly not the way you should treat any customer in any business. But clearly, she doesn't give a flip about her job or that restaurant so, no surprise to hear something that dumb from her. Getting our first round of drinks took about 10 minutes, which is a joke considering how empty that place was, but again, plenty of "Want to be Managers" and hostesses staying around doing absolutely nothing instead of helping each other out. The food was a joke compared to what it used to be and what I got was the biggest joke of it all. I ordered Brisket and that is usually slices of meat. I got a pile of meat that was just pulled from somewhere and on top of that, 50% was fat (and no, it wasn't mixed up with pulled BBQ, because I got that as well). The burgers that were ordered were ok, the wings were dry, the waitress had to go back and forth numerous times to get things she forgot originally or that the kitchen forgot. All the BBQ sauce bottles on the table were sticky and nasty. As I said, worst experience ever, but no surprise with this lack of Management and employees that don't care about their job. Good afternoon, fellow Yelpers! It's your favorite critic again with another find (not fantastic or spectacular, just blah). I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon (3:30ish, well before "rush hour"). The place was exceptionally empty for this time of day but proceeded past the hostess straight for the bar. Figured I could order, get my food, and be gone before more patrons arrived. The service I received was spot on with orher reviews on here about this establishment (not all good). I ordered something simple. 12 wings (6 memphis dry rubbed & 6 Mango Habanero), baked beans, and mashed potatoes - To Go! I placed my order at 3:45. At 4:15, I was over the wait because it was outlandishly drawn out for no reason. There should have been no reason I was still waiting on my order. The bartender, was not attentive at all. She cared only about gossiping with other customers and other staff. She did not offer me one refill. Finally, at 4:26my food came and it was short. No sides, no cornbread, like I just dont understand. This place needs new management and workers that want to be there and are about customer service... This is not it. One of the most horrendous experiences I had in a long time. Just don't!!! Believe the reviews!!! I was charged multiple times on my card and then told it was declined because it kept saying duplicate charges. So far I have been charged $35 and $18 for a burger and water. The manager didn't want to come over. He finally did and say the charges would "drop off" of course they did not. The burger was good. Mac was cold. Everyone's else's food was cold as well. Bathrooms are nasty. It's not worth it. Go somewhere else!!! Now just get to wait and see what my bank does. Randomly decided to give it another go and I was BLOWN AWAY!!! The food was so much better than before! The service was spot on and friendly. Krystol made the best recommendations and everyone in my party truly enjoyed the meal. It was so good and such a different experience we asked what changed. Rudest host! We arrive at apprx 8:50pm (website says restaurant closes at 1:00am) wait about 8-10min for a host so we can ask for seating for 5. Before a host appears (without a greeting) we look around and notice that there were a very low volume of customers therefore we assumed seating and service would be fairly quick. The host that appeared stands in front of us with no expression. I said hi, can we have a table for 5? She responds with "40 minutes". There is no one else waiting and restaurant appears to be less than 25% dining. In disgust and disappointment we left. A business which relies on patrons should know hospitality fundamentals. This place lacks good business practices and should take a look at their team members who are derelict in their responsibilities in a business environment. I'm not from this area and after this experience, do not plan on returning. This type of treatment is disrespectful, discourteous and ungrateful for patrons. The manager, (at least I believe she was the manager), was the most disrespectful and rude worker I've ever encountered in a restaurant, or any establishment at that. She repeatedly raised her voice at us and talked to us as if we were stupid even while we were being polite to her. We walk in and are immediately met by a lady with a very strong attitude that appears to be upper management. She seemed to be training two hostesses to become part of the team. If I could give 0 stars I would. They said it would be a 10 minute wait but it took 30 minutes for us tp be seated. We waited 20 minutes to be served 25 for the drinks and around an hour for the food. We spent over 2 hours with only a party of 4. They gave onions in something that was asked to have no onions. They gave the wrong drinks. And they had plastic silverware, because they were "out". They food was decent and they gave us no drink refills. I would never recommend this horrific experiance to anyone except for my worst enemies. We asked for the manager 3 times and he was too scared to come out. I would recommend leaving this place immediatly and going anywhere I think about anywhere else is better. I would review this food but I never recieved it. The waitress said that they saw some of our food and they were going to get it, but we never got it.
