I made a "to go" order here, the order was a pulled pork platter with a baked potato, cinnamon apples and a steak and spinach salad with blue cheese dressing, and a side of onion rings. The pork had no barbecue sauce, nor was I offered any, and the garlic bread was soggy, the salad had the wrong dressing, it seemed to be some sort of a vinaigrette, and there were no onion rings. If it weren't for the friendliness of the hostess there wouldn't be any stars on my rating. My advice is to avoid the take out and eat in, that way mistakes would be easily taken care of. I love smokey bones and eat here a lot. This is my first really poor experience and its two-fold. My pulled Pork came out burnt and dry. I told the server Yessenia and she said don't eat anymore and I will get the manager. I waited over 15 mins, lost my appetite and the manager never came out so I started packing up the food that I could take to go for tomorrow. I paid and then find out Yessenia forgot to ring up my to go order. I see the manager chatting at a distance. He finally comes over...o don't think she told him about my situation and definitely not service recovery. The manager admitted my experience sucked because they weren't prepared for Memorial Day....STAY AWAY DURING A HOLIDAY. I guess that what's contributed to it :(. Hopefully I will return... read more

I ordered the salad and potato lunch combo topped with shredded pork. When I received my food the potato was old, hard and cold. I asked the waitress to bring me a fresh potato. She came back with another potato that had been placed in the microwave. Guess what? This potato was old and hard as well with just a tad bit of warmth.The food was disgusting. There was also a spoiled rotten smell coming from the kitchen which made me feel sick to my stomach. I wouldn't eat here again if the food was free! P.S. I left a complaint on their site last week and I haven't heard a peep from anyone. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband and I came in on 08/14/2017 around 2:10 PM. There were maybe two customers seated at a table if that. We sat down on the bench and we never acknowledged after a few minutes of waiting we went next door to Red Lobster. So glad we did were acknowledged right away upon entry and had a awesome waitress whom we gave a great tip to. Perhaps Smokey Bones staff and Management can take some pointers from Red Lobster! read more

Some of you may disagree but to me SB is like the illegitimate offspring of Friday's and Winghouse. I think it's like Winghouse because of the pool table and other funky gadgets that make the place more of a hangout spot. The upscale and food choices they offer make SB much more than that. I appreciate the choices of drinks and the number of TV screens around the restaurant. Overall clean and good music. I don't really know how I feel about the price - we had a $50 dinner there with an appetizer and 2 entrees and I feel like for a "grill" it's a bit of a stretch so I don't think I'd be a regular much. We got the Chicken Chili Nachos and it was pretty damn epic. I'm not going to lie but whatever powdery goodness they sprinkle on it make me want to chow down every last chip. Usually I only eat the soggy/sauce covered chips in the middle and tons of it goes to waste but goodness, SB knows what's UP when it comes to nachos - the salsa and chili and everything in that platter is phenomenal. Two thumbs up. I liked my baby back ribs - I do, it was tasty and the original sauce was finger licking good. BUT, it was $13.99 for the 1/3 rack and that's ridiculous considering Sonny's does a similar job for much less. I'm not complaining about being hungry because those nachos filled me up. My boyfriend got the brisket and it was really good - tender and juicy. The chipotle sauce was good enough to make us dip the garlic bread in it. Hehe. Anyway, good service, good ambiance, it would be more on the splurge end to come here for BBQ in my opinion but hey if you have the extra greens you should definitely try it here. read more

Great beer selection, very tasty burgers and very good BBQ ribs, what more do you need? We came in at a busy time on a Thursday night and were able to sit at the bar tight away. Service was great. The Sam Adams Winter Ale on tap was excellent. The BBQ baby back ribs were nice and crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender inside with great flavor. They really have come up in the world from back in the day when they were under Darden. We need to remember to eat here more often. read more

I ordered some fried green tomatoes for $10+, and I thought for sure for that amount I would get atleast 8. Only got 5, and they weren't the best. My husband and I ordered a platter for two people to eat off together for$32, and it was not filling. I was very disappointed. The meat was good. It just was not enough. read more

Smokey Bones is literally one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando and this most recent visit was one of the best times I've had sitting at a bar! The loaded cheese fries are AMAZING! They had a nice selection of beers and their house beer was surprisingly good! We just did drinks and apps but the ribs next to us looked Heavenly! Our bartender Jakob was spectacular! He got our drinks and food super quickly and even chatted with us about the bad day we were having! He was super friendly and made us feel like family! I hope youre lucky enough to catch Jakob there because he is the BOMB!! read more

It's chain BBQ. I tried the wings and they were okay! The rest of my order was wrong. I'll try them again because they are close to home but I have also been to other locations and service just seems to be a bit off. You would think being a "former" Darden business they would have their act together on the food and service but then again maybe that's why the are a "former" Darden business. read more

My trick and treat came this weekend as I looked for a sweet way to continue the evening. Smokey Bones may not be at the top of my list when it comes to desserts but it was a nice surprise when ordering their signature bag of donuts. Should I take the recommendation of a very pregnant bumblebee on this Halloween weekend? Well, apparently this bee knows what's good and several others know of this special bag too. The donuts literally come in a bag and come with a chocolate sauce and a strawberry jam sauce. For a little added fun, order it a la mode so the serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was super delicious and a way to try different combinations of sauces and ice cream.Unrefined, good old fashion fun. read more

I tried this place out for the first time. I will say up front that I wasn't impressed. Price wise, it is what it is being bbq... which is typically pricey. However I wanted to try their brisket which is how I personally judge a bbq place but they were out of brisket so I ordered the chicken. The chicken had good flavor but was a little dry. Got a loaded baked potatoe which cost more than having with fries but it was the smallest baked potatoe I've had probably at any restaurant I've ever been too so probably better off getting the fries. The server was super nice and friendly and was attentive to our needs. They did set a hot plate of pizza in front of a toddler which I frowned upon but I quickly moved and no one got burned. Pizza was ordered with appetizer but came out with our meals which maybe it took that long to cook but was pretty ordered so would be cooled and toddler could start eating before we got our food but didn't play out that way. It wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. I will try them again and if experience is better then my review will be updated. read more

Surprisingly for any chain restaurant, the food at this location was actually much better than the one we usually go to in Tampa. It could've just been a coincidence that we caught this one on a good day or the other one on a bad day, but the food seemed noticeably more fresh and the serving sizes were even better. The service at this location was definitely nothing to write home about, but it wasn't horrible either so maybe my expectations are a tiny bit high for this type of restaurant. read more

This was my second time eating at smokey bones since I am originally from south Florida. The food was great, I got free appetizer for checking on four square. I would say that the baked beans were not as good as I had in their kissimmee location. I was kind of disappointed. The food was not as flavorful. Maybe it was just the cook? Went here for the first time a couple nights ago with my husband and in-laws. Our server was very nice and helpful. She didn't know the answers to all of our questions, but she made sure to find out the answers for us. She was also great with recommendations and got us everything we needed without us needing to ask. Now on to the food. It was delicious. Best barbecue I've had in quite a while. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the ribs were fall off the bone tender, and the bag of donuts tasted almost like churros (super yum!). Awesome first experience. Its typical Smokey bones but they have an awesome selection of microbrews at this one. The guy at the bar seem annoyed that I couldn't decide on what I wanted. Part of the problem is the menu. I like the build your burger concept but the layout on the menu and the impatient bar tender left me blurting out "plain burger...sorry I took so long." Next time I will study the menu for 2 min online before ordering again. read more

We decided to order takeout on Saturday night. I arrived to pick up our order, and stood at the host/to go order window for 10 minutes before finally flagging down a server to ask if anyone was working there who could help me with my order. Unfortunately she did not know since it was her first night, but she came back a few minutes later to tell me I should go to the bar to pick up my order. No problem, but it would have been nice if the 5 other servers/employees that walked by me could have at least asked me if I needed help. Even a sign at the desk saying go to the bar for to go orders would have been helpful. I usually order the smokehouse chicken, but I was extremely disappointed the last two times I ordered it. I thought I would give it one more try. Yuck, the chicken, once I was able to cut through it, tasted like it was 5-day old chicken that was overcooked in the microwave. The bacon and cheese topping did not help it taste any better. I couldn't eat it, and tossed both cutlets! I don't think we'll be visiting this Smokey Bones anymore. read more

should have known when we walked in at 630 on a weekend and there were only 5 tables of people here that it was a bad idea. there was one waiter for the whole place and he was also bartending...food took 30+ minutes to come out.. and it was $50 for 3 burgers, 2 waters and a coke. i see why it's empty. now we're all sitting at home feeling so sick to our stomachs on top of everything. won't ever be back read more

This is a good Smokey Bones. I like their rib combo just fine, but recently discovered the burger and man it's my new favorite. Who cares that this is a chain?? They have real charcoal and that goes a long way. read more

Wish we had a place like this in my hometown. I would spend the majority of my weekends here. It's a sit-down restuarant but it's also a sports bar. The bar makes up half of the place and goes all throughout the building. Flat screen tv's are side by side on the wall going all the way around the bar. If you like to watch sports or just hangout with friends, this is the place to go. read more

Smokey Bones is not bad for a chain restaurant. A little expensive for what you get. It's not the greatest BBQ but it's not the worst either. Good in a BBQ crunch. Also they have a gluten free menu which is a bonus. read more

Smokey Bones used to be a solid 4 stars. This was my first time back in a year or so. They had a few new menu items but we stuck to our usuals. We both had the combo dinner and cornbread. My family and I have visited this location for our Friday night dinners, at least once a month for several years and have consistently recieved good service, and great food. Last night, however, our experience superseded all previous visits.. as the hospitality was.. topnotch! Having over 15 yrs of hospitality and management experience myself, I can tell you that, Alisa, our server, was exceptional! She was so warm and welcoming, outgoing, funny, energetic and incredibly efficient! Her attention to detail was impressive..she truly sets the standard for 5 star service! read more

Consistently average food, however the atmosphere is great for watching sports. Beer and limited wine options, but always friendly bartenders. Something has changed at this location recently - music is too loud for easy conversation and often uncomfortably chilly. Many burger options, but never has one been cooked med rare as requested -overdone. Reliable menu item: Stacked Baked Potato with Brisket (always salad dressing on the side, please) Wings and ribs just OK, although other places nearby (Gator's) have Bones beat on food. Food is up to Smokey Bones's usual good standard, but the air conditioning in this location has been faulty for over a year. It is miserable to sit in the restaurant on a day hotter than 70 out and it is way too humid inside. Sometimes it's the only late night option when I get off of work, so I suffer through it, but it has gotten ridiculous. The servers say no one will pay to fix the air. read more

Worst brisket I have ever had. It was severely under cooked and very tough, inedible. I cooked it for another hour, still gross. I had picked it up, they screwed up my sides. I called the manager, he said he would reverse the charges on my card, yet, he didn't. When you serve food you know is gross, total disrespect to the consumer. I will never go back. read more

The Cuban sandwich was great and would recommend that to anyone. The macaroni and cheese had a different flavor but still good.

Disappointing. Prices are too high for the low quality bar food. I won't come back. There are better options nearby. This chain was much better when Darden still owned it. read more
