The milkis one is a new one that is next on my list! Staff was super friendly and attentive, answered all my questions to my indecisiveness and my drink was ready within 5ish minutes. This location has reliable wifi and nice table seating, perfect for working during the day. I was here for about 2 hours with no issues. Parking outside technically has a limit of 30 minutes, but if you head down to the parking lot area, you can park longer. Bakery items displayed in glass containers in the front and you take a tray to place which ones you want. Needed to grab coffee before making our long drive back to Sacramento, and this spot looked perfect so we could get coffee AND bring back yummy pastries. Unfortunately we showed up and there were no pastries in sight!!! They said their baker was off for the day. I was so bummed. If we had known, we would've come to try it out on another day of our vacation or gone to a different location. At least we still got to try their drinks. They have very unique specialty drinks and I was excited for the Korean influence of flavors! I was set on getting the Korean Honey Oat until I realized it was decaf. Good thing I said it out loud because then the cashier said she could add espresso to it. Perfect!! Their cups are cool but since they're paper you can't see the pretty drink inside! The guys both ordered a Seoul Mocha and theirs came in clear cups so I'm not really sure the difference - maybe to help distinguish the different drinks? Anyway, my drink tasted delicious. Smoking tiger coffee shops are my absolute favorite, and this location was no exception. Tons of seating for people to sit and study (free Wifi too!). We came a little later in the day so the bread selection was a little more sparse, but I snagged the last salt bread. My friend and I both ordered iced teas for our yap sesh, and WOW the osulloc tea they use is SO GOOD. I was drawn to coming here by the corn latte and great reviews of pastries. The corn latte was delicious as expected! Has a hint of sweetness, a little thicker due to the corn I'm guessing, but not very "corn-y". I also got mine with almond milk due to my slight lactose intolerance. They have oat and almond as alternative milk choices. The server was very friendly and warmed our pastries. On a weekday morning it's pretty quiet. Good working cafe. I love it when coffee shops make fun and out of the box drinks! My favorite that I've tried recently was the corn latte. It tastes exactly how it sounds. I had it for the first time and absolutely loved it. I have yet to see any other cafes offer this type of drink around here. The corn flavor is really subtle but it adds a nice sweetness and creaminess to the coffee. I also saw they had the sweet potato mochi that's been going viral recently and I had to pick one up to try. It was definitely good but to me, it's one of those novel trends that people try out and it slowly loses hype. read more

I've visited three of their locations, and each time, I'm greeted by a bakery lineup that could make even the most disciplined dieter weak in the knees. Their bread case is like most Asian bakeries where you grab a tray and some tongs and pick which breads you want on your own. They have sweet and savory croissants, pull-apart breads, and other pastries. I love that their flavor offerings are pretty unique--think Purple Sweet Potato Bread, Potato Bacon Bread, Spicy Sausage and Corn Croissant, Korean Honey Oat Scone, and Margherita Pizza Bread! They also have a packaged cookie section with treats like Earl Grey Tea Cookies and fun madeleine flavors (red velvet, honey mochi, and lemon frosted)! We ended up going a little later in the day so there weren't many pastries left, but we shared a Nutella croissant that looked so big and shiny and perfectly cartoonish I could not believe it was real food (sorry no pics we ate it so fast lol) it was really delicious! I got the simple jeju matcha latte and the quality was very nice. It was just the perfect amount of little sweetness that kept the authentic taste of the matcha itself. Although the flavor of the strawberry matcha was good, the strawberry kind of did overpower the matcha a bit, but was perfect when we mixed the last half of both drinks together. I wasn't too sure if they used only real strawberries for the flavor, but there were some strawberry seeds in the drink which I personally love for the bit of texture it adds. We also tried a ham and cheese croissant for a small breakfast and I had no expectations, but it would've been exceeded if I did. The meat seemed to be minimal at first, but the airiness in the croissant led to a perfect ratio of croissant to ham. I love coffee and croissants and I think I just found a new spot in the South Bay that just maybe the perfect spot for both! It was my first time in this plaza in Gardena (same plaza as Love Letter Pizza and Kitchen) and spotted Smoking Tiger Coffee and Bread. I honestly think reading the "Coffee and Bread" part in my name was what instantly attracted me to this spot and I was intrigued to check it out. I am so glad that I did! I had already had coffee in the morning previously and so for this first visit; I opted to just get some croissants. (I will definitely be coming back to try their coffee though in the future!). They have some amazing cream filled croissants and I ended up getting matcha as well as pistachio. Each croissant was $4.50 each! Wow! Both croissants were excellent! The flavors of both were on point! The matcha was not too strong and the pistachio was nutty and sweet. I liked both but the pistachio was definitely my favorite. It even had little pistachio bits inside! I saw some other pastries here too including a delicious looking sweet potato one and so I am now wanting to try that too. A new spot that I've found myself recently frequenting a lot! The parking is decent with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. First and foremost their coffee is pretty good! Good spot for coffee! Came here a few times for coffee and it's solid - really like their espresso tonics, especially the blood orange. Just a huge fan of citrus and espresso pairings. Per the barista's suggestions, I get them with the Rose of Sharon espresso beans, which is suppose to have a citrusy note to pair with the tonics. Solid milk drinks as well. Came here a few times in the afternoon since colleagues wanted regular coffee and they were out of the drip coffee. This is a great new coffee shop in Gardena on the route between home and my mother's house which make it very convenient for me LOL I don't know which I liked better the coffee drinks or the pastries! My son ordered the Fireplace Iced Latte (vanilla & cinnamon) w/ Earl Grey Cookie and I had the Smokin' Spaniard (condensed milk, cinnamon & hazelnut) w/ Lemon-Glazed Madeleines. WOW The drinks where rich and full of flavor and the pastries were 5-Star, so fresh I was looking around for the baker LOL They are located in a shopping center with parking on two levels. There is plenty of seating but it was still pretty full when we were there so we had to take our treats to go. I have been on a hunt for a really yummy strawberry matcha that's fairly close or close-ish. My favorite is still in the valley. I have not found one that even comes close to how good their strawberry matcha is, however, this strawberry matcha is definitely the best I've had in the area. They do charge an additional fee for oat milk which is normal, like every other place. I'm used to it but I should really think about carrying around some oat milk with me because an additional $1.00 to have oat milk instead of whole milk is just a teensy bit ridiculous. Service was great. Friendly and welcoming staff. Parking was not an issue for me. I was excited to try this coffee shop but it was quite underwhelming. I got the banana milk latte which was one of their specialty drink. Although it was not entirely bad, I could only taste the banana milk and not so much of the coffee. I give it a 3/5. My boyfriend got the tiger latte and did not like it at all. All you could taste was the milk (which I get it's a latte but still) The size he got was supposed to get 2 shots of espresso but it didnt taste like it at all. It was a 2/5.
