Neat little spot that popped up on my radar as I was scanning the area for new coffeeshops to discover. Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab occupies the same spot that used to house a Rubios/Nothing Bundt Cake nearly half a decade ago. It's part of a quiet shopping center that has a Bevmo, Marshalls, and Dollar Tree - so parking is vast and there's no issue finding a spot. Lots of seating inside, the floorplan is open and there's space to spread out. I think they mentioned they had free wifi, but I had trouble connecting so I ended up using my mobile hotspot. Service is great and friendly. I told the barista it was my first time, so she suggested some drinks based on my likes. I ended up going with an iced Tiger Latte, with the sweetness level down as low as they could make it. It's already made with oat milk - so no need to pay extra for a milk alternative. I also opted for a Chicken Frank Croissant pastry - but admittedly was a bit turned off when I noticed a live fly moving about in the pastry case next to the one my croissant was coming from. I found a spot in the far corner to get some work done - the drink and pastry was served on a cute little wooden tray. Presentation is great, at least. The Tiger Latte tasted great - and came with a good pickmeup for the midday. The Chicken Frank croissant - which from the name, thought it'd have chicken - was actually a croissant with a hotdog inside of it. Filling aside, the shell was flaky and buttery - the perfect croissant. Restroom is kept clean. Music isn't too loud. There wasn't a lot of people traffic during the few hours I was sitting here. This is one of my go to coffee places whenever I am craving for some caffeine. I've been going here way too often since it's conveniently located nearby. I love getting their signature Tiger latte at 50% so that it still has a hint of sweetness without overpowering the coffee flavor. I like trying their other signature drinks just to change things up. I just recently tried their double down vanilla which was pretty good. It only comes in one did though which is sad. I wish they offered a large version. I love ordering via their app so I can just get in and out quickly. The only bad thing is that you can only order drinks. I love their bread, but you can't order it on the app so I haven't had a chance to eat it in a while. This location is located in a small strip mall area. There's plenty of parking which is convenient. The interior is small and cozy with some tables. There's usually some people studying whenever I go. My husband and I were in the area and wanting to try out a new spot. We were on Yelp and discovered this place. It's fairly new which is always exciting. Upon arrival we noted there's ample parking, it's located in the back corner of a shopping center. There's also seating inside and out which is always a plus. They serve sconkies (scone cookies) and they are to die for! They're perfect, super crumbly and beyond flavorful. They also had delicious Korean inspired croissants! We tried the jalapeño cream cheese musubi croissant and the kimchi musubi croissant and while they were both yummy I would've wanted slightly more kimchi though I'm sure they only put a little bit in them so the croissant doesn't get soggy! They warmed them up for us and they were so flaky and every bit of good I was hoping they would be. As for the coffee, we got the iced tiger latte and a sweet corn latte and they were both good. It was our first time trying the sweet corn latte and while we wouldn't get it again - it was still fun to try! Super excited for this place to open, I've gone to the one in Cerritos. This location is much smaller and has less of a selection of baked goods and drinks. The smell of garlic came through, I assume due to them warming up the garlic baked item. I was immediately greeted when entered and the host gave menu suggestions. I'm normally a matcha girl, but she recommended the hoijcha. It was good, very Smokey tones, but I'd like to try their matcha. I definitely plan to go back to try other options. Late post - I visited Smoking Tiger on 12/21/25. I was doing some last min Xmas shopping at Marshalls and decided I needed a break. I noticed there's a new coffee shop in the old Nothing Bundt Cake location. I decided to stop in for a coffee break. It was brand new so everything was new and clean. I stepped in and they had their Winter Season drinks menu up. First thing I spotted was the Black Frost Latte and the Black Sesame Hojicha. I asked the barista what she thought about each drink. She was really nice and knew what she was talking about. So I ordered both drinks. They were both for me lol ! I love a good black sesame drink. And these were it. Come to this coffee shop. Just come. Grab a cup from their fantastic coffee menu and a food item to go with your drink (garlic tiger tail and ham cheese tiger tail are so so good with a solid latte). Then take a seat and relax or work or whatever that you have to do. Then grab another latte. *OR* just grab a cup before heading over to H-Mart so that you have a treat on one hand while browsing with the other hand. (By the way, turning in to this crazy supermarket going the direction from this coffee shop is SO MUCH easier than the opposite way on the madness that is Beach blvd). Their espresso tonic with the white tiger blend is absolutely divine. Corn latte, magnificent. The beautiful thing about their drinks is that you taste the coffee that complements the other things in the drinks. The most detestable thing that a coffee latte can do is to coat your tongue with sugary grossness, but this is certainly not the case with Smoking Tiger. Their coffee blend hits your tastebuds first, then your nose; it's gorgeous really. So much parking, so ample, not anxiety inducing at all. Outlets? Plenty. Inside shop? Doordashed some coffees this morning for my sister and I. She's been there herself and recommended I try it. With two little ones always attached to me, Doordashing has become my saving grace. I ordered their Hotteok Latte (half caff and a little less sweet). I'd say the quality of coffee is definitely top tier. On top of that, their packaging is super cute! The music is quiet and there are a lot of tables for studying. The cashier, Cindy, was so kind and helpful when choosing what drink. I really wanted to try the spam kimchi musubi croissant but unfortunately they sold out at 10 am on a Saturday. I decided to get the jalapeño cream cheese spam croissant and banana milk latte. Stopped by on their grand opening day since they were offering free drinks! I came about an hour before closing and luckily the line was pretty short so it moved quickly. Staff was friendly and patient. Drinks didn't take too long to come out considering it was grand opening. The cafe is spacious with ample seating. The music plays pretty loudly so it'd be pretty difficult to do some work there unless you have noise cancelling headphones. They do have some outlets along the walls if needed. I ordered the black sesame hojicha off of their seasonal menu. The drink was very roasted and nutty as expected, but also simultaneously light. Still pretty strong though. Just stopped by this new coffee and pastry spot near my house for their grand opening today and it was such a great experience! They're offering free drinks until 3pm, which is an awesome bonus. The menu has a large selection of coffee and tea options, both hot and cold, so there's something for everyone. Friendly service as well. The spam kimchi croissant is a must-try! It was absolutely amazing and so flavorful or savory as the cashier explained. I can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks next time. There's ample parking and plenty of indoor seating, plus good music that makes it a really enjoyable place to hang out. The only thing I wish they had was outdoor seating so I could bring my dog. I went to Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab in Huntington Beach last weekend before an early morning hike and I genuinely felt it was still so important to come back and write this review because the coffee was THAT good. I've never had a banana latte that actually tasted like real banana until coming here, it completely blew me away. We went very early in the morning and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for the day. I'm also a college student, so I appreciated noticing that they have outlets accessible for anyone who wants to study or work on their laptop. There's plenty of parking, the drinks were amazing, and they were super accommodating with my oat milk request. Amazing coffee, great service, and such a pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoyed exploring the menu here at Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab. The workers here are super nice and happy to sub out the espresso in their lattes for matcha so I was able to try the corn latte and banana milk lattes with matcha instead of coffee. I really love the flavor on the corn latte and that's probably my favorite so far. As expected, the banana milk matcha is on the sweet side since they use the banana milk and has that stronger artificial taste of banana milk which is expected but not my favorite. In the future, I definitely want to try their Misugaru (rosasted rice late, non coffee) or their other standard matcha and hojicha options. Some surprising favorites of mine here are their pastries as well. I LOVE their kimchi musubi croissant. The croissant itself is so flaky and the tartness of the kimchi is such a good compliment to the other flavors. Their jalapeno cream cheese musubi croissant and cream cheese garlic bread are both good as well but more on the decadent side. Definitely want to come back and try some of their seasonal cream buns as well. This is a great spot to come catch up with a friend or even do work at a cafe as there are ample seats and outlets.
